  1. hunter, construction, fletching. i hate afk skills, and fletching and hunter are pretty much that. construction is just a waste of money. and nobody better say farming is an afk skill, you won't know what you're talking about. farming is awesome, same with mining. they are the one of the few skills that aren't afk, you have to click a lot and pay a lot of attention.
  2. it is frustrating for me being poor as i am, but i've watched my friends play, total lvl 1700+ and 50m, i don't think i would like it. if you want something, you just type it into your screen and you get it, no sense of achievement. that's why i don't consider merchanting an honest living, you don't work for it, you take other people's money.
  3. Well actualy the F2p trainagle is compelty underpowered at the lower lvls b/c mages totally own, but later on(mid 50's-126) is a lot more even. Just pointing it out to you. 70+ is when mages only appear with 60+ prayer. meleers don't have to worry about magers then because they usually have hide with them if they're smart. melee also has the most fighting options at this point, daggers to (the stupidest weapon ever) 2hs. range can pretty much kill at this point, now they're doing 10s and well all know range's forte, speed. so averaging 20 damage in 10 secs even on meleers, let alone mages, that's good. the only people lacking good damage at this point are mages, but that is because they were doing 16 at lvl 30 cb.
  4. I am inclined to laugh at you, but shall refrain from doing so at the moment. Look at F2P Mage. Maximum damage, 16. Slowest attack speed. 200 - 300 coins per cast. Negligible armour. Barely any equipment boost to Magic. Pathetic holding spell. Now look at Rangers and Warriors in F2P, come back and tell me the F2P Combat Triangle is balanced. you're also forgetting this. mage:lvl 20 does 11 damage range pure:lvl 20 does 6 damage. str pure:lvl 20 does 5 damage. mage maxes out early, but the other 2 have the most potential. that's why you don't see lvl 3 rangers in the wildy but you do see lvl 3 magers. that's just f2p though.
  5. i haven't seen a better reason *cough*not!*cough* O:) the only skills that i find really enjoyable, though most are decently enjoyable, are combat, mining, and farming. since slayer is just an extension of combat i'd have to go with slayer.
  6. uhhh fairy rings ftw?
  7. well, the per hour aspect is as dependant on luck as merchanting is, but in terms of lvling with it, rcing would win unlesss you made bars out of it.
  8. i envy you... i should do pyramid plunder where is it?
  9. see that is where you're wrong. merchanting is basically a casino with much better odds than real life. it doesn't guarentee money, but it can deliver more than what you invested in it. but skills guarentee money, there will never be a time when you have to pay someone to take items you get skilling off your hands, it's pure profit, unless you buy but you're still guarenteed profit then. Merchating is not a casino if it is done right. But right now merchating is not a good bussines reason: To many guides and the concurence is to big. I can give you an example: aprox 6-8 months ago i was buing rannar seeds from players at 10k ea and selling them on forums at 25k i could make 10 mil in less then a day. But now almoust everywere you go and you see a place that is crowded : " Buing all rannars 10k-20k ea". So i guess you are right in a way. if this was 2 years ago when i was on my old account, i wouldn't have written that. but now so many people know about merchanting, that it's hard to get as good prices as you used to. i never have merchanted and never will, but i know this because i spend a lot of time in bnks not afk
  10. :?: your reply was true... High alching is not a skill :wall: where did he say anything about high alching? i was talking about his rc reply... i never saw anything about high alchin. He edited his post lol he said what about magic and high alching... oh lol
  11. :?: your reply was true... High alching is not a skill :wall: where did he say anything about high alching? i was talking about his rc reply... i never saw anything about high alchin.
  12. It does to me when you have to train strength for hours straight. :-s well, you're also getting other xp so in reality it's more like 50k more xp per hour...
  13. i don't see why people think it's bad at it. there's no proof, some guy just thought it to make himself popular and the idea caught on...
  14. :?: your reply was true...

  16. oh god thank you, get the word out to all them people who think they're cool because they have black (g)...
  17. it's either that or polls  please someone give us a good topic all of us are too stupid to make one
  18. runecrafting gives the best money per xp and the best money from 1-99, but it is also one of the slowest xp in the game. i can cut 400 magic logs in an hour, i'm lvl 75 wc and have a rune axe. that's 400k an hour, plus wc is one of the easiest skills to train, if you don't count buying your way into buyable skills. meanwhile, runecrafting will take much much longer to get to the point where you make 400k an hour, plus the fact that you are at a constant risk of losing your glory to abyssal monsters. if you loook at it this way, the fastest xp in runecrafting is death runes. lets say you bring the 2 lowest pouches. that's 350 xp per load, anywhere. if you use the abyss, you can get a load every minute. so that's 350 xp a minute, and 350*60= 21k xp an hour. if you no life, you play about 6 hours a day, so that's 126k xp per day. of course, deaths sell for 300ea so that's 3.78 mil a day, 30gp per 1 xp. meanwhile wc gets you 1k per log, and about 4 logs per minute which turns into 4k and 1k xp. as you can see, that's a little less than triple the xp per minute and 2/5 of the cash. these statistics are not made up they are from my experience so please don't flame me for making up false statistics.
  19. :XD: anyway gratz on 99 hunter, i think it's the most boring skill so that's probably gonna be my last :XD:
  20. :XD: ever heard of olaf's quest? anyway, it isn't nerfed, maybe your luck is catching up with you, with all those 70's yesterday. if jagex nerfed something this big they would tell us. do some excessive ranging with the d bow then if you still have these results after about 2 weeks i'd believe your claim was valid
  21. You still get a chain in 100-200 kills, infact the the most absurd number ive ever seen from a D chains drop rate. The most kills it took me was 123 kills for a chain, when a friend and I killed for 8 chains. Why post with fake numbers? Why waste your time? On topic, some said the drop rate changed other don't, when I kill abbys without a task i get whips rather often ( atleast 1, maybe 2 a day). So far slaying ive had like 1,000 of em total, and no whips  as for the question, i don't do anything that gives random results. my slayer isn't high enough for good drops, the first clue i did got me a addy pic and dagger so i haven't done a clue since, although i have tried to get one from ankous for errr 3 months  . actually it's not a fake number, a lot of my high lvl friends get chains every 50-150 kills, and they have RoW on. i wouldn't know, im a pathetic lvl 77, will be for a while because i'm skilling a lot. the numbers are bound to change from person to person if they haven't killed too many kqs, but around the 10k range, if anyone has ever killed that many, it evens out.
  22. hunter is not worthless  hunter, as i see it, is becoming another skill to support range. all combat has oone, melee is smithing, mage is runecrafting, and now range is hunter and fletching. as for archaeology as a new skill, it's not going to happen. how would you lvl up? is where you dig on the new archaeology island? what would be the point of lvling up? what would the skill give you? there are too many holes in this idea. i don't think jagex can come up with a new skill, and since runescape has always been different than other games, i doubt they'll put in necromancy/summoning, even if they weren't worthless. they might make it a new spell book, with it a new quest, but i doubt it. there would be no way to lvl it up by itself. one thing jagex should do is incorperate agility into combat. if you have high agility, you can go to an interface that shows you a list of difficult tricks you can do in combat that take up running energy. tricks such as jumping up, attacking in mid air, and landing on their other side, confusing them or stunning them for a moment. narturally a trick like that would take high agility but some can be lower. this could only be used by melee though, and possibly range. agility has needed an update for so long and i think this is a great idea.
  23. even after all these times i've reported/might have abused reporting, i haven't a black mark on me  \ =D>  8-) :D
  24. errr lol? just go to a different fishing spot
  25. ummm, actually more autoers are at willows then at yews, so getting rid of yews would be worthless, as well just scare away all f2p. although, this could get jagex moore money if they do it well...
