IMO:No. Its not against te rules, and if you want to do it, why the hell dont you? Only if you Teleother people to distract them.

As soon items hit the ground, they are owned by the person who picks it up, if he dies its his fault, you don't have to give back his items. Unless he's a friend, but thats a different story.
