  1. When attacking, you should have a whip/defender, a Saradomin sword, and a good spec weapon (dragon claws > dds). Become pro at switching them for the calls and you'll be golden. On a pro team, the attacker will usually be the last person working.
  2. nice botting press x, circle, r1, up, down, down, r2 for free divine spirit shields.
  3. Saruman44 and I have been in a loving relationship for many months now. We met in Runescape. The OP is wrong.
  4. I lol every time I see pictures like this. Also, I can't help but become extremely jealous whenever I see a divine. :( Someday . . .
  5. This.
  6. I got 98 attack and defense two minutes before. My iron titan is messing with my feng shui. I had to buy a Saradomin Sword to keep my melee stats even.
  7. I've mage-slayed from 89 to 94 (almost 95) magic now. It's not much worse than melee IF you can use a wolpertinger and you don't mind the cost, which is pretty significant. Fire surge (use wolper scrolls to boost to 95) hits very hard and very accurately on most monsters. You can't mage dark beasts, waterfiends, or spirit mages. Use ahrims, a full slay helm, a SoL, and either an Ardy cape 3 or SW cape for some prayer bonus and/or defense. Use a BSS (or an Arcane if you can afford it) when you need to tank (if you don't have 92 prayer). TBH, I wouldn't recommend mage-slaying unless you're pretty high level and have good gear.
  8. Sorry to say, buddy, but you're not going to get amazing experience rates slaying with your combat stats. You either enjoy slayer enough to want to keep going, or you don't. It's all up to you. Armored zombies will be faster melee experience for you. There's nothing we can say to help you, because it's up to you to decide how much you enjoy slayer.
  9. Agreed. No need to keep your LP that low during the kill, time your overloads. You lose about 33% kils per trip if you don't time them anyway... I've been about 4? times at solo bandos, i've never came close to dying with the equipment i've said before (Piety, super sets, Prosyl top/bottom, Fally 3, whip, glory, d boots, b gloves, sw cape, ect.) Well, that's all luck. You could've easily been KO'd with your stats and that gear.
  10. This entire page is a FSC accomplishments page.
  11. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Took forever making wolper pouches. Next up is 95 magic.
  12. Why not go all out and just take the risk? With your stats, overloads, and that gear, I can't imagine that you'll die. If you keep track of when your overload is about to end, you can keep your LP up for the most part.
  13. I need 6.9k papayas, so I don' think that option will be quick enough. Thanks for the tips on other rings guys. Oh, yeah definitely not. :-#
  14. I've always thought of Runescape as belonging to the genre of fantasy MMORPG. We have dragons who teach arithmetic to goblins, mummies, zombies, and giants. Doesn't get much more fantastical than that.
  15. Courtesy of Maz. Also, look at Toast's guide under the uber advanced section where you'll find Maz's instructions for using this setup effectively.
  16. 1. Agreed with Evil. You wont even come close to 99 Herblore. 2. I dunno if you'll even get 70. 3. Planting papaya, curry, or coconut trees and using a giant ent to pick the fruit everyday will cover the cost of the seeds if you're using cheaper seeds. 4. If not a year, very close to a year. That's assuming that you're diligent and you plant the right herbs.
  17. Actually, it's all of your low stats combined that reduce your experience, but keep in mind that slayer is not entirely dependent on gear. A lot of it is HOW you slay. All of your topics are exactly the same, so I'll give you some good, general advice: JUST PLAY RUNESCAPE AND STOP WORRYING SO MUCH. Do you enjoy slayer? Then train combat via slayer. It's that simple. Zarfot got 99 slayer in six months from 70 using worse gear than you, and that got him max combat.
  18. If you plant five papaya trees and pick the fruit twice a day, you can accumulate a lot of papayas very quickly. It's an option. Warrior ring or seers' ring are good, cheap options.
  19. It'd be pretty bad business planning if they don't get Dungeoneering batch 2 out this year. They have to have noticed that most players are stopping at 70-80, and a lot more players are simply not training it because they know that the experience will be faster with batch 2. As per usual, the Q&A sessions are only mildly interesting, but mostly frustrating.
  20. Again, it is comments like this that makes me think you've played very little real CW. One of the best scorers in Castle Wars is not even closed to a maxxed player called Drr Blake (Formerly Snake Pit6). His setup for scoring is black dragonhide, jesters boots, fury, master wand, and zamorak book. I have def'd against him on occasions and trust me, you do not want to let him get loose a bit. In private 5 v 5 Castle war games, the setup is often 2 mages with 3 scorers. The mages is considered the most important part in those teams due to the fact that they are the main freezers of flags. Melee is mostly used as a support combat in Castle wars and is one of the part of reason why I like CW. If you try to score in full melee gear, my solution most of the time would be to let you out because I am confident that it would be easy to kill you before you have gotten anywhere at all. A scorer in full Dhide would be way more dangerous in my mind compared to someone in a divine and full bandos using chaotic rapier/longsword. P.S. - If mage was so underpowered in CW, why does all the stackers go on the team with 5-10 mages? This. Warriors are not vital to the success of a CW team. Also, Racheya, are you saying that a mage in maxed gear would lose to a warrior in maxed gear? That's incredibly far from the truth. The rewards for CW are undeniably geared towards warriors, but that's okay -- they're the underdogs in CW and can use all the help they can get.
  21. Slayer is not what it was a year ago. It's now a very competitive way to max combat. The only thing that Compfreak was ever right about was that there are faster ways to get PURE melee experience than slayer. He tried very hard to make slayer seem like a total waste of time. Countless people proved him wrong in everything but his melee experience argument. I believe D Jay99 proved on that thread that at the time, slayer provided more total experience than armored zombies. That's even more true now.
  22. These are the best options. Undead monkeys are better exp/h (use a combat familiar), but costs money (not a lot, but there's a cost). Armored zombies will make you a bit of money and you'll get some charms, but it's slower. Both are pretty AFKable. They're both good options if you're just looking for strength experience.
  23. Buy mint cakes and alch them.
  24. I did that once. I think I did around 30-40 quests in a couple weeks. I can't do it anymore because I've had my quest cape for a long time now (haven't finished EW3 yet, though).
