a year ago, i had played for about a month. i was around lvl 20 cb, 100 total, and i had just gotten a black square shield, which was the best armor in the game at the time :mrgreen: . about a month later i paid 35k #-o for a rune axe(the first rune item i ever got) ive never abandoned that first account, and it is still the only one i use regularly

i had been playing for about 2 weeks when a lvl 50 something gave me a black square shield. i thought it was the best armor in the game because i had never seen black armor before. luckily, i also had the level to wear it.

i found this game on miniclip.com, so i just dove in without reading anything. i have still never read all of the rules except for inside the report abuse button and ive been playing for more than a year, but i use the manual and the tip.it items and monsters guides all the time since i discovered them about six months ago.

you people dont get it: ive got better things to keep in my small f2p bank than a piece of digital colored paper that costs half-billion coins for me this is simple: i have no desire to be a mem, being a mod would be stupid, id rather be able to kill the monster alone than be it, and phats are completely pointless. that leaves killing macros, the money, and the lightsaber. although i'd love to kill the macros, that wont fix the problem. 2 billion coins would be nice, but who wouldnt want a lightsaber?

Hehe, I kind of do this all the time too, I take out my ring, go to a crowded, noob-filled are, and morph. Everyone assumes I'm an item, so they all come running on top of me. :P ill have to try that one sonetime...

im f2p, and as you can see most of my skills are in the highscores, and the two that aren't (attack and magic) were both only one level away last time i checked. i'll still be there at least for a while...

i've always kept tuna for a few good reasons: 1. its faster to keep them than drop them. 2. i havent burnt any since about lvl 55 cooking. 3. i can usually sell them for 150 ea in varrok(on any world), if i have 200 or more of them 4. i use them for training and save the swordies for the wilderness when i had lvl 62 cooking and fishing, i did a test: i timed how long it took to get from falador bank to the fishing spot, catch 24 fish(lobbies, or swordies and tunas together), cook them(and catch more to make up for the ones i had burned until i got 24), and get back to the bank. i did this several times for each, and i found that over a trip that was between 15 and 20 minutes, it took me about 30 seconds to a minute longer to catch the swordies and tuna than the lobbies(trying to get just swordies took about three times longer). assuming 300 gp per swordie, 200 for lobbies, and 150 for tunas, if i caught 8 swordies and 16 tunas, my profit would be the same as for 24 lobbies. i was actually averaging 9-10 swordies and 14-15 tunas, so i decided i would stick to the swordies and tuna combined. it was and is also nice to know that i can always cook the tuna without burning it.

im reading tghrough the forums just now and i have two recurring questions for the people who claim to make 300k per hour f2p: what items are you buying and selling, and on which world(s)? its great money, and i'd love to learn to do it well(and learn to be patient enough to do it)

i often give noobs 2-5k, which is lika million when theyre first starting. but i feel like i owe them it because of how nice people were to me. someone gave me a black square shield within my first week of playing. someone else gave me 10k once when i was trying to buy a rune axe for the first time, and he wouldnt take the money when i tried to pay him back.

i disagree with that one... this topic has been blown off by a lot of the responders who think that pkfr0mafar is a noob because he is asking our OPINIONS on a subjec that has become increasingly unclear recently. unfortunately, the word "noob" has meen misused and abused in today's gaming world to the point where a discussion of what it really means is not only important, but relevant to anyone who wants to use it (or not use it) properly, and thereby appear to be a mature person. "noob" is only meant to be an insult what makes me think someone is a noob: -trying to beg for anything. (you want me to do something? how much are you going to pay me?) -asking for free favors when i've never seen or talked to you before -asking for stuff/money. (especially anyone about lvl 30 or above who's too lazy to work and get money the way everyone else does: fishing, mining, etc...) -anyone who brags about their accomplishments (no matter what level they are) -anyone who calls someone else a noob for no apparent reason ---in general, any player who acts immaturely in any way these people are specifically NOT noobs: -new (inexperienced) players who dont yet know what this (or any) game is all about, who are asking what you're doing, or asks how to do something (this might be very annoying, but they really dont know yet what's going on, so don't insult them for something they have no control over.) **** unfortunately, the word "noob" has changed from what it was in the beginning (a perversion of the word "newb", which is itself a truncation of the word "newbie", a term, in no way meant to insult, meaning a new or inexperienced player/person) to an insult that immature people misuse on anyone that they get pissed off at. on the other hand, there will always be people who dont give a f&@# what other people think about them, who, even if they read this thread, will still insist on calling me and others noobs because we're trying to tell them thet they shouldnt use the word. :wall: whatever. i cant win 'em all, so i might as well go f&@# myself... i've never written that much in any forum before in my life
