  1. I have taken screenshots of all my dungeoneering exp screens since around level 31 or so. Found some interesting things. [hide=Not necessarily the same for people not f2p level 106 combat.] Floor exp for any level is constant, save bonus room multiplier. Floor 1 is 59 exp. Floor 2 is 78 exp. Floor 3 is 100 exp. Floor 4 is 125 exp. Floor 5 is 153 exp. Floor 6 is 184 exp. Floor 7 is 219 exp. Floor 8 is 257 exp. Floor 9 is 299 exp. Floor 10 is 344 exp. Floor 11 is 393 exp. Floor 12 is 446 exp. Floor 13 is 503 exp. Floor 14 is 565 exp. Floor 15 is 630 exp. Floor 16 is 700 exp. Floor 17 is 775 exp. Floor 18 is 855 exp. Floor 19 is 940 exp. Floor 20 is 1030 exp. Floor 21 is 1125 exp. Prestige exp for any prestige is slightly variable. When floor and prestige are the same value, the exp is the same. (Only data from 18, 19, 20 and 21) For each floor value under the given prestige value, you lose 3 to 5 exp. (Only data from prestige 16, 19 and 21) Floor exp AND prestige exp are effected by bonus rooms. +0% from bonus rooms gaves 53.6% of base floor exp AND prestige exp. +4% from bonus rooms gaves 68.8% of base floor exp AND prestige exp. +6% from bonus rooms gaves 76.6% of base floor exp AND prestige exp. +8% from bonus rooms gaves 84.3% of base floor exp AND prestige exp. +11% from bonus rooms gaves 96.7% of base floor exp AND prestige exp. No data yet from others. [/hide]
  2. It doesn't matter what you attack, you auto retaliate everything, you just kill one and automatically go to the next. The only thing you have to do is run to the healer if you get lot on health. Maging is worthless, 1/10 exp is a joke.
  3. Is that the only bonus room door? Because you should be getting AT THE VERY LEAST 4% bonus if you at least explored all the other rooms. It was needed to open all the other bonus rooms.
  4. I forgot to mention that in that picture, it was one door I wasn't able to open it had a 105 craft requirement on a f2p server; not even possible and I got about 50% exp reduction for it.
  5. Do the monsters for the zombie spawn 'boss fight' stop or get non-aggressive after a certain amount of time? Free heals and constant monster respawns with full melee exp; kind of neat. Granted you get no drops and lack of an amulet probably lessen exp a decent amount.
  6. To party dungeoneering do I have to progressively unlock all the floors for party sizes 2 through 5 individually, or does my having unlocked them all solo means they unlocked for all?
  7. Yeah me too. I thought it was like it only goes up a certain amount and then stops increasing. What I think is that Jagex should either make the cap for ALL F2P players, or double the P2P worlds exp. This is unfair to people over combat 90 in F2P. I'm just glad that I'm only 83 combat... I guess it's time for me to train my ranged and magic now! And LOL score: For comparison, here is a picture of my exp for floor 10. I'm 106 combat. Grr.
  8. It's a straight up 50% reduced exp for people over 90 combat on non-members worlds. In other worlds, take the normal floor exp and prestige exp, half them, then continue with exp calculations.
  9. Seriously just (like one minute ago) failed to unlock an imbued door three times, over 700 LP gone...
  10. Capped f2p experience: lower level f2pers are already capped by their inability to kill things quickly. Though I agree, increasing p2p exp was the way to go. We gained our levels so that we could kill things faster and get exp faster, and it took quite a bit of time. Penalizing our exp from being able to do what we have levels for in the first place, is ridiculous. Plus, I highly doubt that our increased killing speed really makes us finish dungeons at least twice as fast as people with under 90 combat. Either reduce exp on non-member servers as whole, or increase members exp.
  11. No, I do mine most of the Fractite Ore and smith it into armor, but other that, I don't touch the resources. It would seem lame to penalize me for not using all the resources.
  12. I initially guessed that, but levels 111 and 112 are off by 2 XP, so it can't be that. It would have to be off by 1 and only 1 for it to be a rounding problem. Plus we'd have most probably noticed it in levels 1 through 100. Not necessarily. The problem is that the values for (1/4)(floor(n + 300 * 2^(n/7))) are 1 high for n equals 100, 102, 110 and 1 down for n equals 101 and 112. The rest of the values are off because of inclusion of the wrong values in their summation.
  13. I actually like dungeoneering, it's kind of fun. But the more I play it, the more frustrated and enraged I get over the fact that I'm being penalized for being high level. It's freaking ridiculous, makes me never want to play anything Jaqex ever again. Disrespecting loyal players is not cool at all.
  14. No, it's a straight up 50% reduction in exp. By only effecting 0.2% of total exp needed needed to max, they meant that the highest level people had only got 200k exp out of the 100m needed to max before that update.
  15. That was on my free character, so non-members. :) Is it the base exp' that is low, or is it after any specific multipliers? Last night I did floors 2 to 12 and 15 all at 16 prestige, completed as much as possible on each floor, and took pictures of the exp screen. Base floor exp ranged from 78 exp for floor 2 to 630 exp for floor 15. Prestige exp ranged from 362 exp to 699 exp all at presitge 16. My total final exp per floor ranged from 235 exp at floor 2 to 812 exp at floor 15, average was probably 500 some. The prestige exp seems to be directed linked to how many bonus rooms opened. With no bonus rooms opens resulting in prestige neared halved, than linearly increasing until full prestige at all bonus rooms opened. Which makes at pretty damn lame when it decides to random generate a solo dungeon BASED on MY skills or a members door so that I can't open a door, then have to take a huge exp reduction. That was on my free character, so non-members. :) Is it the base exp' that is low, or is it after any specific multipliers? for me, i never get that such low exp before, unless complexity 1-5, with C6, my prestige is about 1.8k. and if i redo a floor, without prestige i also gain about 1.3k, since small size floor. Looking at you on the highscores, you aren't ranked in any melee combat, so I'd assume you are under 90 combat. And that it why you are getting so much more exp than me, I'm level 106 and get that 50% exp nerf. Which is why that update is BS, you get lots more exp just for being lower level than me.
  16. It's quite viable to get much more than that, this is my last dungeon's experience on my F2P character :- [hide=Floor 18] [/hide] This was from completing 17 Dungeons continuously to get prestige up and soloing a dungeon, getting all the bonus rooms - killing what monsters I could. I'd estimate this took about 10 minutes to do that dungeon-run. (Note I also had a death at the Boss). I would state however that this was a particularly good run with no skill doors blocking my way! ;) Is that on non-members or members though? I have once since the update got (800 + 800)/2 = 800, then like 950 after other bonuses. But most of the time I get something like 200 - 500 total, with prestige 16 the whole time. Are you getting 0 for your prestige experience? If so try and reset your progress in the ring interface and do the floors that don't have ticks next to them (you can see which floors have ticks by pressing the change button next to the floor part in the ring interface). If this isn't the case then i'm not too sure, but i'm not experiencing a -50%XP, but i'm only 96, so maybe it's 100+'s? No, I'm not getting 0 prestige, I have it at the max I can all the time. I'm testing floor 15 with 16 prestige, going for full completion too, I'll see what happens. 630+699 with 812 total
  17. Yeah, I can see what you mean, hopefully they will change back again. I already see they change the RC xp, from 7~10 to 1 ~ 2. I guess I will go back to my skill lvling again until they change their mind again, or unless I got all lvl 99s first. Actually, having reread the announcement, the word seems somewhat vague. Did they really only reduce exp for people above combat level 90 or something slightly different? All I know for sure is that I get 50% of the original exp and I'm level 106. Though I also haven't heard anything to suggest that it isn't just a straight 50% reduced exp to people over 90. Either way, I don't think I'm going to bother playing if the exp stays around 400 per 20+ minute floor at level 34 skill.
  18. I can understand your presumption, considering my character name at the side, but still an assumption it is. In my previous mentioned posts I've mentioned that it's on my free-to-play character. This character is entirely free to play and has never had members. ;) As has already been stated, there are numerous reports of F2P players getting members-based doors, so it's not just my ranting! :P I've had Liquid doors that I'm presuming require Herblore, although didn't specify a base-herblore level so perhaps that was wrong. I have however had an Agility door that required 68 Agility. What I would probably mention is that Jagex do state that up to Level 4 is the maximum complexity for F2P, we can do Level 6 but that then yields members-based skills in places. I think the minimum complexity without having members content yet having the full dungeoneering experience would probably be complexity 4 - only including farming and hunting, yet still requiring everything else which is Free-to-play. This does unfortunately still yield a negative experience bonus for F2P, so personally I'm sticking to complexity 6 as the number of members-based skill doors I come across isn't that huge, not impacting experience in that many occurrences. However, I may have to reconsider this position when my prestige is capped to ~50% when I can't unlock all the rooms... I had not heard anything about that mechanic before, that's really lame. I pretty sure it doesn't say anything about it in the game guide.
  19. Not true, I'm 100% pure f2p and I've got a herblore door before while soloing.
  20. Hopefully, they will undo or lifted it off in the near future. At this point, i am more concentrating on getting those RC xp up with the skill. It's a fun one nevertheless and to be honest, they could do whatever they want with the skill and set it as a limit for F2P. We are playing this game for free (well, with the adverts on), so them capping it is not so much of an issue. Back to that part again, F2P are suppose to be harder due to many limitations, a lot of skill between F2P and P2p can almost train at the same speed now if you get the method right. Its like, in the old days, if you are member you get RC 70, its ok since you can use wildy and pouches. For F2P, lvl 50 plus is impressive because all you can do is walk (and run occasionally) My problem is not with nerfing f2p exp; it's only nerfing 90+ f2p exp and not also nerfing under 90 f2p exp. (Though seriously, taking 1.5 to 2 hour per level at 30 is pretty ridiculous.)
  21. Is the current runecrafting exp in dungeon being 1/50 of normal, intentional?
  22. I'm not sure about what the rest of you think, but if they are honestly going to keep this exp nerf to 90+ f2p people, I'd very much like to see the nerf extent to all of f2p. Having an abstract and obscure point where exp is halfed is just ridiculous, insulting, unfair and illogical. High levels should be beneficial toward leveling speed, not a serious handicap.
  23. I honestly still can't believe they actually nerfed high level f2p exp by 50% instead of buffing p2p exp; definitely a big F U to high level f2pers.
  24. The prestige system is just how many individual floors you've gone through without repeating one. So if you're able to go through the first 15 floors at will and start on the first then when you finish the 15th your prestige level would be 15. If at that point you can't reach the 16th floor yet, then you can press reset and it will save your prestige level so if you started back from the beginning your prestige level would be 15 as long as you didn't do the same floor more than once. (to simplify it's how many floors you've done in a row without repeating any, and if you repeat one then it reverts to 0, so if you have no choice but to repeat because your level is too low then it's best to reset and start back from the first floor. Doing the highest floor you can reach over and over will slow down your experience significantly. I think that may be why so many people think the xp is so slow) You explained that way better than the Jagex guide; thanks. On a slightly different note, is rapier the best melee weapon? Also, how do you disarm doors?
