  1. They meant one entry by postcard per monthly drawing, not one entry by postcard per day in each monthly drawing.
  2. I don't see any problem with that. Dungeoneering was supposed to be a "prestige skill," which I would think means you are meant to level it after you've already leveled everything else a lot, including combat. Seriously, wtf, I just partied with a level 3, all levels 1s except 10 hp, 5 wc, 63 mining and 84 dungeoneering. That is some very disturbing free-loading there. Yeps, those skillers are parasites... and unfortunately wanted . It's like our punishment for being f2p, they give us dungeoneering, yet purposefully make it annoying and painful as .... to play to make us want p2p. Except it doesn't make me want p2p, it just makes me respect for Jagex less for the extremely poor design and their not caring at all.
  3. ya, but not hope is they better be. sonic also once tried not to gain a str lvl because of scared of increase cb lvl. i also trying to maintain my cb lvl below 90. i hope there will be at least 1 or 2 new reward to exchange for. currently f2p rewards is not useful, like coal bag become total worthless because of the new resource dungeon. gravite bow is also 1 of the useless reward, unless it can fire rune arrow in f2p then it is different case. I don't think they'll remove the cap, because skillers would be totaly ignored then. But well, Dungeoneering is a combat skill, only Jagex doesn't want to say it <_<. 4. I don't completely understand why people are soo excited about more floors. Pros: more exp new themes new bosses higher scaled monsters? will be more fun? Cons: more floors will make finding a party orders of magnitude more annoying than it already is more floors will have relatively bad exp that will need to be prestige rushed though for still bad exp new annoying and gimmicky bosses dungeons already don't have enough food for currently scaled monsters Overall; meh.
  5. Did they ever fix being able to get members exp in f2p dungeoneering? Every time I get to a members door/puzzle in a group I get worried.
  6. Not really partial afk training at all, but I've actually had quite nice results with watching tv while mining the past week. Well, actually hulu with a dual monitor setup and I'm rewatching a tv show I've already seen, so I'm not too worried about missing things. Although somehow I do seem to be able to pay pretty good attention to the show while mining quite fast. Dual monitors is the only way to mine.
  7. There is nothing that calculates your total xp in game. It's just numbers in hiscores, so the overall xp limit is 200M in all skills, meaning 5,000,000,000 atm, and will change if new skill comes out or 200m per skill limit is removed. Also, it's mildly unlikely that he got 23m exp since last night. And I'm not an expert on Java, but I'm pretty sure it can handle 64 bit integers...
  8. The prestige system ruins dungeoneering for me. Getting horrible exp from lower floor compared to higher floors make it much less fun and encouraging. Having to spend ridiculous amounts of time trying to find a party for the floor you want/need is extremely annoying and makes me not want to do the skill at all. Having soloing be terrible exp compared to partying makes the above point even worse because soloing a high level floor is a complete waste of exp potential. And when batch 2 adds more floor (possibly f2p) it's just make the whole thing even worse. Look at WoW's random dungeon system; why can't dungeoneering have something like that? Select desired size and difficulty. Enter queue for dungeon. Selects people in queue from any world with the same highest floor unlocked that want same size and difficulty. Randomly picks a floor everyone in party has unlocked. Scales monsters to what they would be in the highest floor they all have unlocked. Does not count towards prestige completion of floor. Calculates exp based what it would be for the highest floor they have unlocked, prestige not used in exp calculations at all.
  9. I still think part of the problem (with ore prices) is that they seemed to have purposefully made mining very player unfriendly (compared to the other gathering skills). Mining is very tedious, having to click a new rock for every ore. Mining sites never have enough rocks to accommodate many people. Need 3 iron rock per person or 6+ coal rocks per person. Rocks in mining sites are normally in quite inefficient layouts. Gold and silver respawn times are unnecessarily long. (and as with all gathering skills, chance of getting highly level resources with high levels scales horribly.) All mining rocks such be concentrated, sans multi-ore chance. (except maybe runite rocks) Maples; 85 woodcutting, 10 minutes, 6100 exp, no competition at all. Not a very large sample, but a start.
  10. Unless they changed it since release. 0% bonus rooms cut base exps by 47% as well as the displayed 13%. A F2Per over 90 combat would get 230 exp for no bonus rooms in your above situation.
  11. Class Ring of Kinship are p2p f2p dungeoneering is still just a giant, 'lol, f u' to f2p. -1 for f2p jagex
  12. Only if you're combat level 90 and above, so just stay 89 and below! Whopee! And of course, instead of preventing F2P from accessing C5 and C6, so that every F2Per gets an XP cut for not getting member, they give them access to C5/C6 to show them that "there's more to explore". Dungeoneering is glitched for me ATM. :/ I don't receive food from any of the monsters I kill and I get reduced experience, even if I dungeoneer with 2-4 skillers. >_> I opened a door and it dropped everything I had equipped and in my inventory on the ground... quite odd.
  13. Class Ring of Kinship is p2p only... grrr...
  14. Make rune/pure essence mining like granite mining. You mine chucks of some magically infused rocks, then chisel it down into multiple rune/pure essence. Give mining the rock chucks enough exp to make competitive with mining other things. Give chiseling a decent crafting exp and small runecrafting exp so it's worth doing. Possible downside, being able to bring rock to altar then chisel them, thus more essence per run, faster runecrafting exp, not necessarily bad though. Possible upside, easier rune/pure essence, market floods, prices drop, less demand for bots.
  15. The 'need' for bots for RS to 'work properly' just shows you how poorly designed the game is. The whole current system of making higher level resources much slower vastly reduces their exp and profit and is just begging for botters to fill in the gap left by sensible people that don't want to waste their time on horrible exp and gp. So quick suggestions; make all mining rocks, fishing spots and woodcutting trees work like concentrated coal/gold (much more friendly to players ) make ores, logs, raw fish, bones, hides, and such semi-stackable, stacks up to 5 per inventory slot (would make collecting d'hide and bones easier, prices fall, less demand for bots) increase chances of successfully gathering high level resources, i.e. coal, yew logs, magic logs, shark, mithril, etc... (would make higher level resources a desirable way to train, market gets flooded, prices fall, less demand for bots) Yes, exp rates would increase, but that not necessarily a bad thing, especially if it helps reduce the 'need' for bot. Regardless of any 'benefit' on the economy; botters should be banned.
  16. Is it just me or are those bonuses kind of horrible? No weapon can do all stab, slash and crush while either being one-handed, in accurate stance or in aggressive stance. Which means if you want those bonuses, spear is out, and you'd always need a one-hander for stab attacks. Decent assuming partying and finding groups fast. Solo exp is insulting and trying to find a group is, very annoying.
  17. I always said that when I was training in the SoS. Eventually I reached level 100 combat. o_o He means 100+ dungeoneering.
  18. Not necessarily a straight up multiplier to exp. All floors give the same exp. No penalty for being above 90 in f2p. (Proper monster scaling should make both possible)
  19. Why Real ID is a Really Bad Idea. Excellent article, couldn't say it better myself. I will not consider buying or playing any Blizzard game until any and all Real ID 'features' are made optional or are removed.
  20. Is it true that the 90+ exp nerf isn't applied to you if your parties average level is under 90? Because I just did a dungeon and got 15k exp, where as a level 3 skill said they got 27k exp. The skiller didn't even do anything helpful the whole time. And I was just coming to terms with that f... stupid nerf based the misguided fact that I could avoid the nerf with parties averaged under 90.
  21. I hadn't given it any thought before as I'd never bother trying partying dungeoneering; but now that I have; I realize how horrible the whole party making system for dungeoneering is. 1. Make dungeoneering theme worlds. There is no good reason for there not to be one. 2. Make an option for it to choose a random floor to do, but will not nullify your prestige if you've already done that floor in this current cycle. Has all the floor variety of the current system and more! Opens up the amount to viable party members to basically anyone instead of just the people how happen for all the same floor free. Might need some tweaking in (floor) exp rates to stop people from getting screwed over large amounts of exp by repeatedly getting mostly random low floors. 3. Improve the in-game party finding system. Instead of rooms for different floor ranges; make it a person that tags you with your preferred difficulty, say "medium and 5:3" or "small and 4:4". It will automatically try to find matches, but there will also be a billboard that lists what people are currently looking for; if you find their difficulty settings acceptable, it sends an invitation request to the party leader/person.
  22. I tried it a few weeks ago with melee. Three tunnels open was enough for endless slaying.
  23. Not true. I'm level 90 ranged and I don't always get a bow or arrows, and when I do it's usually like tier 1 stuff. Recharging is 1 million gp or 100k and 6.5k tokens. Not worth it.
