I just hate Facebook apps in general. Occasionally I'll use Social Interview or play Bejeweled, but all of these apps seem to revolve around constant annoying invitations to people who couldn't give less of a crap about them.

You'd be surprised about the levels bots can be, if you use one long enough without getting caught.

I don't think they're watching you, going over every sentence, I'd imagine that they apply a general filter to the chat to sieve out people doing this kind of thing and unfortunately you were caught in the net. There's also the chance that someone by mistake reported you assuming you were the actual culprit.
