  1. Actually, the happened within five minutes of eachother, you blew up the simulator, which I was using, that caused me to notice the holodroid that had taken form as a ficus.
  2. Goose! No, Nex, you told the AI to add SUE cats to simulations that weren't even yours, and more people died from the ficus incident. No matter that, you've caused the most damage to the ship itself, as such you should not be a captain. As a captain should be someone who cares more about the ship than he does about himself and should be wiling to sacrifice himself for his ship and crew. Such as Jeremiah did at the end of the zombie mission.
  3. You repeadatly added SUE cats to simulations, causing the destruction of the simulator on multiple occations. You caused the concurrent death of most of the Unity's crew, leaving only you and those that were not on still alive.
  4. You've destroyed the simulator at least four times, you've damaged the hull at least thrice and you have caused one genocide.
  5. Jeremiah, Faust is the most destructive person onboard the Unity, and Monty doesn't even want the post.
  6. And still the two of us are the best options, because bad luck and poor execution is much better than no planning, bad planning and breaking plans.
  7. Lee, that's exactly what I'm saying too, but at least I only break myself unlike what happens when most other people fail to the same degree. And I think the captain title would actually reduce my deathrate, since at least half my deaths are because I have to do workarounds.
  8. Lee, I'm the second best option, because no one else than me and Icu are both fit and willing to step up to the task.
  9. By that I asume you mean persuasion, since who you are matters less than how good you are at convincing.
  10. Lynx, I'm armed and you can't disarm me, I also have some nanites waiting to repair me and my AI will likely send the scrap bot when it sences that I am under attack, I would not do that if I were you. Thanks, Icu.
  11. You've freaked out a number of times, and when you do, you panic in such a manner that you are unable to repair the damage without help.
  12. Lee, didn't you panic when you cut my arm before I was drugged?
  13. You are aware that I am a decent tactician, right? My techs may fail, but they do so in the simulator, so they don't pose any danger. I may die a lot, but I do so merely because the usual ways to do things are unavailable to me. I am less dangerous than both Earth and Nex, which leaves only me, Icu, Monty and Lee as organic members of the ship. Lee is too scared and careless to be a viable captain. Drake is "new" and doesn't want the title and Icu seems unwilling to get the title by any biased means. Which leaves it down to me and Icu, I would prefer him to be in charge actually, even though I could use the title. Yeah, and Retech has better thing to do, seeing how he wants to be a research AI. Lee, nanites could be programmed to make a "liquid" one, like human-shape replicators from Stargate. Well, they should be able to do that, at least if you research nanite bonding.
  14. Nex, if you were in charge you'd be spending too much time focusing on getting us a stronghold on a planet which would only result in Dusty bombarding us. I agree with Icu on taking the test, but I feel I already know how the results will play out.
  15. If no one else actually wants the post, then I'll step up to the plate.
  16. I would say Icu is probably the best option, else I'd nominate myself, I know to keep expensive stuff out of harm's way and I'm neither likely to settle down somewhere nor build ships just to send them everywhere at once. I'd try to be fair and actually stop people from picking on eachother... yes Faust, that is aimed at you... Though I get if you don't trust it to be safe under my control.
  17. That's just odd, I'm spinning (using a spinning bike) and my pulse is staying at ~70BPM, my usual rest pulse.
  18. May I sugguest a different playing style for the next session? Either dividing it into ships or using one main chat where only SI posts other than announcements, and actions and such are done by private messages. I do see that it might not be the best way, but it beats knowing one's opponents moves before they do them and tech espionage (learning the specifics of non-researched techs by watching as they're made). Also, I love the chemical programming puzzles, please do more of them.
  19. Seriously, chose one, it is ok to use ingame names in the games, but why not just use your forum name here, or at least one of the ingame names?
  20. Is there any real benefit in not having a rematerialization period? Since I'd rather spend my points on something I feel that I need rather than something that might be somewhat useful in the future. Also, Ross, just to remind you: Our Transporters are now beyond the point at which SI said would be neccessary to use them to mine asteroids (which I asume means that you don't have to specify what materials to extract).
  21. So? To my knowledge each transportation must still be finished before the next can start, so what's the difference?
  22. What's so great about stutter?
  23. Jeremiah, I believe our transporters are currently at lvl 19, why would we need them to be better. Also I'm thinking about making a slimmer version of the Mark I suit, keep the repulsors, the simplicity and the brute force, but instead of an AP unibeam I'll use a radiation generator and make sure the suit itself is radiation proof. I'm hoping to make it in parts that "grow" onto me as they are activated and have the left glove cover most of my sleeve with armour but keep the buttons, screen and laser available. Then I'll make it work using wireless energy, you may think it wouldn't be viable, but I have located the reason why Tesla failed to perfect his coils; he could not make a perfectly edgeless toroid/sphere, however we should be able to accomplish that using our fabricators, because since we have carbon nanofibres, we have carbon nanotubes (which are what they're made of), if we can make a carbon nanotube then we can bend it into a carbon nanotoroid, if we can make a carbon nanotoroid then we can make a carbon toroid, thus we end up with a toroid headpiece that is a single molecule and without any edges. Another thing we know is that carbon nanotubes are electrical conductors, so they should work. That again would mean there's no limitation to generator size. Wait, wait... new weapon idea, 4D pulse projector, a weapon that we can fire at anyone, pushing them along the fourth dimention, and if they weren't enemies we can bring them back.
  24. Nero, the nanites are according to what SI said would be required for permanent hosting of them in the body. I think I'll spend my next research points on better weaponry for my sleeve computer, any ideas or should I just upgrade the laser?
  25. Yeah, Nero, the problem for you is that with a slight modification to the rad rifle it is now both cheap and small, and we have nanites that can stay in us permanently to heal injuries, both of which were gotten today. We could sterilize your ship or go toe-to-toe with you with next to no risk. Take me, if I get my hands on some more nanites then you can blow my guts open and I'll survive, though I might be out for an hour, or you can cut of my arm and I can just reatach it as if it was lego. I may not be euphoric about Ross being captain, but it sure beats the guy who blew my brain out because he suspected me of messing with the AI.
