Try scopions, they're a sort of in between balistae and c'bows.

For blackpowder you just need saltpetre, sulphur, charcoal and wax. It just needs fine tuning to become gunpowder actually. Also arbalests are better than muskets, a proffesional can fire two bolts in a minute and a rookie can take out a knight with one shot. And it can shoot accurately very far (900m) and extremely hard (22kN).

Why do you act like you're the boss of this game? If anyone should be then either Sere or Archi, I prefer the former but there shouldn't need to be one anyways. Poverty and wealth (avg. income) should not be needed to be affected unless someone decides to go for a growth rate of 20% (which would be unaxeptable anyways). Taxes would not change. Companies and other "stuff" gains employees. Thus it should be population growth = financial growth. If you can think of anything important that is missing from my template then please tell, but currently it's the most precise I can think of as the variables can be changed with ease and they can be finely calibrated to match the nation's real values.

Just a fancy word I made for how much of your cash you actually can use.

Just fix the sheath (if you're using it) add ~5% to population for this first year, then we'll stick to ~2%.

My tactics are just as smart as anyone elses, it's just that it doesn't work when no one shares my views; get a lot of allies to seem intimidating, help allies to keep them. Anyways I'ma start building some defences too as I found out this was AD, not BC. Construction of towers with mounted scorpios and arbalist(c'bow) and arbalester(arbalest) guards.

Hey! I'm not militarily active, but I am smart!

Then you have a choice Icu, back down or take a risk by proceeding, since you, unlike me, can choose to back down without risk.

Mine has three leaves and something that looks like a chainsaw blade. I find it odd how no one comments that my middle name is Sand.

I think it'd be more fun if we could ally and fight NPCs. Also I like to research just for the heck of it. That reminds me: Norway begins researching CO2 scrubbers and better solar cells. Theese will just keep going, but I'll let them "settle in" before start researching more.

I couldn't find my Surname, but my middle name was my grandmother's maiden name and is from a more important background apparently: http://www.houseofnames.com/fc.asp?sId=46B7AD30-C6AE-44CA-A144-A1BFDE484479&s=Sand

Uploaded and ready! ^^

I can upload it, then you just have to fix commas to dots, and exchange an variables and the numbers in other incomes (which I made to be GDP - tax income / population in 2010 * population variable). Here: http://www.mediafire.com/?wjvdinadmmi

The only thing orlogism sais is that you become some sort of god in the afterllife if you die honourably after a good life. Basically it sais anyone can become what Jesus "became" after death if they live right.

Not of what you are in the afterlife.

Ye Olde Hegemony
Egypt, from which I'm a wassal state, is muslim, but I'm orlogist. Please note that there's no description of the afterlife in any religion (except from hinduism, but if one has perfect karma then one does become part of god, which is basically orlogism's belief) and thus any religion would fit together with it.

Oh, ~5% is OP for longer durations... I'll lower it from now on... Anyways, shouldn't Sere decide? Anyways, unless the population growth is too high the GDP's growth should be paralel to it. Though I have no idea other than that my system is stable and does not provide me with an unrealistical amount of cash (seeing how it was exactly how it is in Norway on all aspects (except that my solution on "other incomes" was a shortcut in order to avoid adding thousands of variables, instead using one more calculus)). EDIT: Ok, in my system the growth rates are completely equal. +100% in population = +100% in all related calculuses.

How about my change of governement? How many knights do they contribute with?

Ye Olde Hegemony
Anyways... The Zeirids' ruler was brutally murdered today, the murderer, Mather, left the axe still imbeded in his skull then claimed the throne. With the old ruler ascended to near-godhood Mather summoned all the nobles of the land; "Welcome lords; marquises, dukes and archdukes all of you are summoned here today to take place in a change of governement. From this moment on you will be my advisors, you will have my land, split according to your ranks, where you will get the role of gouvernors. And now to destroy the catholic crusade!" Mather then began on a letter for the Icelandic ruler: Dear fellow Orlogist(?), I would like to propouse a trade and an alliance. As I understand it we have very different natural resources at our disposal and we would both benefit greatly from this... Now to some more... enjoyable... matters, as you may understand the muslim part of Spain will soon be under siege by catholic crusaders. And as you may already know my supreme state is muslim and has asked me to ensure that they do not suffer from defeat. What I ask from you is that you help me defend them, in return you would be rewarded not only with my trust, but you might also recieve a reward from the grand empire of Egypt."

Ye Olde Hegemony
Wait, I sent the 10,000 peasants to fight the catholics in muslim Spain. Since Egypt was muslim then the peasants would just follow orders from the muslims there.
-
Ye Olde Hegemony
Well, there weren't any plans, just sent 10,000 peasants to do Egypt's orders there.

How about my attack on the catholics in the muslim part of Italy, also known as a paradox?
