  1. Making traps is easy. If you know the right technique you can even make a proximity detector that doesn't even require direct interaction to trigger.
  2. Wouldn't do that if I were you. Ouyso has a really crappy laptop and only a 3MB internet, and even he can play without any lag, so the lag says more about Nef' setup than it does about the server. As for most of what you complained about there, Nef, it's there to stop people like you. In fact your actions actually forced the two owners to get an anti-grief plugin. Additionally, Ouyso didn't even have to go by any rules to fairly ban you, here's a message from him I got on Skype: "[00:40:45] _ouyso: Han herre Het gjorde at alle ble sure, så jeg bannet han." Translated: "This guy Het pissed everyone off, so I banned him." Seem familiar?
  3. Nef, get the [bleep] over it. I'm not OP on this server, just a mod, but acting like you did on mine will get you banned here as well, regardless of anything I might say.
  4. If I used Hamachi, I would still be providing an IP to my computer, which has the website running on it. As for using PMs, that would still be breaking the rules, just doing so where the mods can't stumble upon it. We could arrange for the re-sharing of my DNS somewhere off-site though, but it would be easier to wait for the server I'm helping with to get multiworld (also that would still allow me to play online at times of high traffic without getting crap (see average) pings). The address to the server I'm playing on is pureskillz.net, you can register on the website with the same domain name.
  5. Given that the IP to said server would be the same as the IP to my website, I don't think I can be the server without getting into trouble with the mods. I am however a mod on a Minecraft server that is currently under secondary development, so I might be able to convince them to add the mod when they get multiworld up and running.
  6. In single use, yes, they are most often applied that way. But the words themselves have other meanings, just put a word in front of them and you'll see; Math nerd - Hello Retech. Math geek - WTF dude?
  7. Meh, I'm just not going to continue arguing with someone who blatantly ignores every other word and then responds to the other half. Me: "I'm a nerd." Him: "So you were a Crossroads geek." Seriously, "I didn't "geek" Crossroads, I "geek" other stuff." Him: "You're not a geek/nerd? Make up your mind." Seriously, and he accuses me of ignoring stuff... <_<
  8. I don't think we really need to bring up the many times this has been proved wrong. Thing is I did not spend large amounts of time thinking about Crossroads, nor did I even give it my full attention when I played it, hence I did not "geek" over it. I do however quite often find myself thinking about Homestuck, Runescape, physics, etc., and I often devote my full attention to those fields, hence I "geek" over them. However my considerable knowledge in the fields grants me the title of nerd rather than geek. As for that last statement, knowledge and it's application are two vastly different things, separating a nerd from a natural, with a no-lifer and pro as intermediary. Here's a list of terms by traits: Casual - None. Geek - Dedication [knowledge]. Wiz - Knowledge [skill and knowledge]. Nerd - Dedication and knowledge [skill]. Pro - Knowledge and skill [dedication]. No-lifer - Dedication(x2) and skill. Natural - Skill [knowledge]. Traits in brackets aren't part of the term, but aren't ruled out either.
  9. Nah, all that I spend time on, I know well.
  10. Actually a geek is someone who devotes a large portion their time and attention to a certain subject without necessarily being good at it. A nerd is pretty much the same thing, except with expansive knowledge to boot. I'm a nerd in computers, Runescape, Homestuck. Pokémon, electronics and physics. I'm not a geek in any field I can think of apart from those I'm a nerd in. Additionally I'm a natural in PHP and BASIC. So yes, I'm a geek/nerd.
  11. I think it has more to do with the change of mechanics. There's no better way to drive out the lesser geeks than to start using the DnD format.
  12. Make mustard gas. Or grow crystals, that works too.
  13. I have never heard of anyone being apprehended for insulting a police officer. I have however heard of someone testing that law, and I think it was Sogndal that was the only place he got away from calling an officer a "damned horse-[rooster]" without getting a fine.
  14. Since when is flipping someone the bird the same as abusing them? Pretty sure that they can't legally arrest someone for that in the US, but giving the police the finger would most likely offend them regardless of where in the world they are. They are human, after all. Well duh they'd be offended, but their first reaction would be "wtf?".
  15. Wow, I realized your legal systems were [bleep]ed up, but your law enforcement too? Boy am I glad I live in a country that can be said to employ the terms "freedom" and "justice" unironically.
  16. You're neither of those. I may be a bit cocky at times, but I'm not condescending. Please flip off a policeman. See how he frowns upon you. If I flipped of a random policeman, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't even frown, but rather do this.
  17. Because of his hostile, cocky and condescending attitude.
  18. Last time I checked, flipping the bird wasn't against the forum rules... or any other rules in any other place... It's just a hand signal, it's frowned upon in elementary school, but not even there do they try to stop you from doing it.
  19. Time for the longest weekend ever, no school until Wednesday.
  20. You silly Americans and your snow days. Here we go to school even if the snow is waist-deep, while you act like it's going to break your legs and kill your family.
  21. You know that's how natural mummies, those brown, dried husks you can see at every natural historical museum, are created, right? A marsh can be just as deep as any lake can be, and trying to fight it is near impossible, since the viscosity of the mud just creates a vacuum when you try to pull yourself out.
  22. Hey, don't blame me for getting the terminology slightly off, I actually came up with the whole thing at midnight and didn't bother double-checking it when I posted it.
  23. Wow, JaGEx are some really good sports, apparently yesterday my membership payment failed, yet they've delayed the suspension of my membership, giving me some time to get the payment in order before they cancel it.
  24. Actually, since none of the aggressive powerhouses are left, wouldn't now be the perfect time for one? The only potential cause of major conflict would be if Nef attempts the "tactics" that failed him last time. Omnibus = all-being. Some people claim that God is everything, literally. Now thanks to Einstein's theory of relativity, we know two things, energy and mass are identical and transmutable. The only pure form of energy is momentum, something which we know (also thanks to the theory of relativity) is constant when measured omnidimensionally, this constant being c. To put these together: Mass = energy. -Energy = momentum. -Time = momentum. --Time + Energy = c. ---c = everything. ---God = everything. ----God = c
  25. I believe I just assigned a scientifically accurate value to the omnibus iteration of God - c.
