  1. Renovating an existing cave? Why have I never thought of that? I've always just made my own, or rather I used to until I stopped playing on creative. Once I even took a huge solid rock and carved it into a 3-story house house with a basement and a greenhouse.
  2. Retech helped me convert Håkon to a regular psyker. Instead of telling you all the changes, here's the sheet: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/21066254/Crossroads/H%C3%A5kon.xls
  3. I said I was tempted to do it, not going to. I can already do as high as 52 damage, with 42 as average in a single turn using Swift Attack, so it's not like I explicably need to. And I'm not minmaxing or munchkinning, so far I've bought two non-combat skills, one regular combat spell and two spells that allow me to alter my body so I can do stuff like walking unharmed through a fire or fly past a trap.
  4. The only magic involved is the Hammerhand, an abillity I only activate once before combat and the Cellular Control, which upon failing the obligatory Willpower to sustain it causes 1d5 of damage to me. Most of that damage is pure Strength bonus, with some ability bonus and the rest as regular melee roll. Seal Wounds does not seemingly cause corruption, so using that to maintain my health would be safe. And since Frenzy also boosts Willpower, I'd be less likely to get possessed by the wisps, granted that the wisps weren't actually sustained by that psycher as it appears they were.
  5. You know, I'm really tempted to see how I can use the rulebook to maximize my damage potential... EDIT: If I buy Lightning Attack and Crushing Blow then use Cellular Control to enhance strength and enter Frenzy, I have a maximum damage potential of 124 per turn using the multiple attack move without being under the effect of any external modifiers such as potions. If I get Battle Rage and Counter-attack then successfully parry the opponent's attack, that becomes a maximum damage potential of 160. I could become more of a glass nuke than a glass cannon.
  6. I'm fairly certain that thing is too big to be able to dodge, and since it doesn't have any physical weapons it doesn't have to manifest first, it shouldn't really be able to parry either. Also you sure that dodging and parrying applies to natural weapons? I'm fairly certain dodging claws and jaws is harder than a sword or arrow.
  7. I buy search and awareness for 100 exp each and cellular control for 375. Edit: Guy, I've got a plan should we need to face that greater evil being of pure magic again. Hear me out on this: I put on that armor I've got, cast cellular control to boost my strength up to 50, I drink a strength and weapons skill potion to add maybe 20 to each, making it 70 and 70, I charge at it for a 90% chance to hit and use swift attack to make that a total damage of 2d10+56. Now if I had a healer to aid me there, that seems to me like a really swift victory. Regardless of how strong it is. Alternatively we could wait until I can purchase lightning attack, making the damage 3d10+84 per round as long as I keep hitting.
  8. It's not abuse because it's an argument in a witty format, not an offensive comment.
  9. Actually I first read a summary of the article, posted the link, then saw the link to the actual article and corrected my post.
  10. It's a plugins that offers a set of skills such as mining and achrobatics, which you can level up to earn certain benefits and bonuses. And I only assumed IE7 was the newest version, because you know it would be common sense to assume Microsoft would be clever enough to not release new versions of IE rather than update the old ones other than along with Windows, and that IE7 would correspond to Win7.
  11. 81.166.107.12:1024 Just an SMP server. It's got mcMMO, Wireless Redstone and LightDetector, if there's any other plugins you want, just tell me.' EDIT:Hey, Archi. What was that about IE being just as good as any other browser?
  12. Mods in multiplayer are called plugins, because they aren't actually modifications to the game, but rather additional files that are run by it. Plugins that add additional blocks and/or items require a singleplayer equivalent on all clients. You can find a bunch of them at plugins.bukkit.org.
  13. Yeah, hopefully now that they've told me I'm permabanned they'll leave me alone.
  14. It's the spam "Jagex", not JaGEx.
  15. Yay, I think I may finally be seeing an end to these fake infraction messages from "Jagex".
  16. Try turning online mode off then.
  17. Setting up a server is pretty much as easy as can be. You only need to download bukkit, make the run.bat file, run it once and change the .SETTINGS file.
  18. And then because I specialize in biomancy only or something like that which meant I bought at half price. So I'll purchase bio-lightning for 250 exp.
  19. Can you please put up a reference for buying psychic powers as well? I've searched through all three rule books, but I can't find it.
  20. I don't think there's anyone in the world capable of making that mistake using the tone feature of Audacity.
  21. You add them to the minecraft.jar file.
  22. That's TooManyItems. I'm pretty sure it hasn't been updated since creative mode came out,
  23. Few regular speakers are capable of 42kHz, USB headphones whose tone filter is purely software based and optional however are. And since I was using a headset, only my head was exposed to the soundwaves, hence why the hydration level was restored without without the need for additional water, as the rest of my body acted like a reservoir. Edit: Added some soda to a glass and put my headphones on it with that tone on loop. 10 minutes later the level seems to have receded with some residue left on the walls of the glass and the smell of it seems more concentrated. Additionally the outside of the glass where the liquid is touching it seems somewhat warmer to the touch than the rest of it. Edit2: 25 minutes into the test, it has begun to intensify in color and it appears thicker in viscosity. Edit3: 50 minutes in I turned up the volume. The dry smell quickly returned and I got a minor pain in the right external carotid artery, despite not wearing the headset and thus not expecting any symptoms. Edit4: 58 minutes in I started experiencing medium pain near the left eye and turned the volume back down. Addendum edit4: Experiencing blurred vision in the left eye, though all pain receded. Addendum2: Facial skin paled and slightly discolored under the eyes, similar to the "sick look" you get from common diseases like the common cold or flu. Edit5: 1 hour in. Liquid decreased to half initial amount, experiencing extremely dry skin. Finishing project due to conclusiveness of evidence. Addendum edit5: Liquid tasted noticeably concentrated, moisture rapidly returning to skin.
  24. I think I just invented what could potentially be the most painful way to die without taking physical harm. By subjecting myself to soundwaves at 42kHz, the resonant frequency of water, after a few seconds I started to smell my nose drying up. Keep that up for a few hours and the subject would in all likelihood die due to dehydration of the brain. On a related note, I now have a headache, so I'll go get myself something to drink. EDIT: Headache wore off before I got around to drinking anything. I believes this confirms that the dehydration was indeed induced by the soundwaves resonating my brain, destroying water molecules.
  25. The primary reason for lag in Minecraft is lack of RAM, shut down unnecessary programs (Skype, Steam and intermet browsers are the three most common idle programs that take up massive amounts of it). Next enter the task manager, go to processes (while Minecraft is running), right-click Java and set priority to high. Secondly I estimate a lack of graphics processing power could be responsible, to fix this I suggest turning of Windows Aero (the setting that makes Windows' bars translucent) or using the original Windows graphics setting. For quick use of these changes, as well as cleaning up bugs, malware, etc. that slow down your computer, I suggest getting IObit Advanced System Care.
