1. Are we really? Few people bother with competitive playing apart from using combat emulators, and most combat emulators allow Hackmons battles.
2. Blissey is best used in Hackmons with Sturdy, minimum defense, Counter, Mirror Coat, Extremespeed and Lunar Dance. The only way to beat a team full of those are by using multi-attack moves such as Fury Swipes. Deoxys-Speed is best with No Guard, Sheer Cold and one other OHKO move to prevent running out of PP. The only way to beat which is with a priority move, Me First, Sturdy or Focus Sash. And Skarmory only has a 465 stat total, it's Defense is the only thing that is better than avarage. And if you want something with high Defense, try a Shuckle, both of its are 230. Also I think I know a way to get the upper hand against any opponent; use Dunsparce first, barely anyone remembers it, so the confusion will most likely put them off their game.
3. Dragon is better, because then Shedinja is the only Pokémon that you don't do at least 1x damage to. Oops, forgot Steel. Alternatively Skarmory is good, because Steel/Flying means: In competitive playing, Skarmory lacks the stats to be of value, but in the game where type-weaknesses are your worst enemy, it's invaluable.
4. So far I've decided on Wall Walk, Dull Pain and Spectral Hands.
5. Now try again with a choice band. But that would require one hell of a lot of preparation to pull of, and is not reasonably possible, this one however is possible after just a few turns of stat modifying moves and a sunny day in the Hackmons format.
6. Looks like I'll have to invent the Sunglasses. (Good thing I've already bought crafting equipment.) Any chance I could use Shape Flesh to remove Vile Deformity in-game? Because if I can manage to craft some sunglasses, I could live with this becoming a permanent thing, though Vile Deformity could become an inconvenience depending on how heavy the roleplaying is. Also I've gotten Enchanced Senses, Regenerate and Toxic Siphon as freebie Majors, though I have no idea what to choose as Minors, so Jen, Mask, if you could tell me what Minor powers we could use as a group, I've got 8 freebies to spare.
7. Ravaged Body: Night Sighter Big Eyes Does my hat count as eye protection? The brim is there for shade after all.
8. 121. And I got Mystery Meat: Vile Deformity x2 and Vile Alacrity.
9. I'm looking at the rulebook and I noticed something. The Psy Rating abilities' descriptions say they give you psychic powers. Is this supposed to be your maximum that you can buy, or do I have a lot of freebies to claim?
10. You could just buy it back, it's not like Exp is a precious commodity here.
11. If they are, then I'm getting off way easy, seeing as mine's seeming one time only, or once a day in the worst case. Not that I'm not getting of easy anyways, seeing as being a Biomancer should mean I can control my metabolism so as not to suffer like most people would from eating about a fourth or fifth of their own weight.
12. 54 and 27. I'll double Forbidden Meats and take Master Chef as the bonus. How many pounds of meat do I have left from my visit to the butcher? Also would it be possible for me to just find a cow or something and use seal wounds to regenerate its flesh as I carve chunks from it?
13. Added you. On a mostly unrelated note: If a lvl 100 Darmanitan with maximized Attack stat with +6 in-combat and Sniper uses Me First to score a critical hit with V-create against a Ferroseed with Dry Skin and minimized Defence with -6 in-combat while holding Life Orb during a Sunny Day, the potential damage of the attack is up to 388,329,150,342 HP. That would be hella funny to try and replicate using Hackmons on a battle emulator.
14. Ok, now I'm literally only missing Zekrom. The excitement is palpable.
15. Nature is equivalent to maybe 25 EV, so no, it doesn't matter unless you're minmaxing, then it's good for stuff like a Hasty Ninjask or a Shuckle with a Defense boosting nature. For those Pokémon that are nowhere near the maximum for the stats, nature is about as important as nickname.
16. Oh yes, that [bleep]ing Hydreigon, catching Reshiram was EASY compared to beating that monster.
17. The Elite Four are supposed to be a [bleep], even my Lvl. 100 Blaziken can't tank its way through them without requiring at least one Full Restore per trainer. Just stock up on revives and full restores. And if you want a good tank for them, try Golurk, it can learn both Ghost, Fighting and Psychic moves, the combination of which grants you super effective against every one of them. And another tip, don't underestimate STAB, that 50% boost can be immensely helpful, especially when it comes to defeating an opponent with a type advantage.
18. Never had a problem with natures, the stat difference is miniscule, and as long as they don't come from Rare Candies and Exp. Shares the stat increases from leveling up fills the stats enough to even prevent me from using boosters such as vitamins and wings at aøø.
19. Well, I'm missing Troh, Conkeldurr, Scrafty, Tirtouga, Caracosta, Lampent, Chandelure and Zekrom, but I'm in the process of evolving Scraggy and Litwick at the moment, and me and Lei are planning to trade Gurdurrs soon, and a Tirtouga from her against an Archen I've bred.
20. I can loan you one. Must check friend code though... Thanks! I only have 8 more Pokémon left to catch before the Unova Pokédex is full, so I'm just about done. You wouldn't also mind trading a Troh for my Sawk? I know it's possible to catch them here as well, but the 1/20th chance in rustling grass is annoyingly small in practice, especially when the other 19/20ths are Audinos.
21. No one here happens to have Pokémon White, do they? I'm closing in on finishing my Pokédex, and I'm going to have to borrow a Zekrom to do so. EDIT: For the record my DS friend code is 1891 - 2348 - 6834 and my Pokémon Pal code is 0003 - 9920 - 2223.
22. Anyone here got experience with PHP? I've suddenly started experiencing some problems with an HTML 5 player which I believe may be related to the way I've written some if requirements and such, but however I approach the problem, I still cannot seem to solve it.
<? $vid = "Domain/".ltrim(rtrim($_SERVER['SCRIPT_FILENAME'], "vid.php"), "D:/New folder/xampp/htdocs").$_GET['vid']; $file_type = explode('.', $_GET['vid']); $file_suffix = $file_type[sizeof($file_type) -1]; $par = "'"; if ($file_suffix == "mp4"){ echo ' <head> <script type="text/javascript"> var _gaq = _gaq || []; _gaq.push(["_setAccount", "UA-29919308-1"]); _gaq.push(["_trackPageview"]); (function() { var ga = document.createElement("script"); ga.type = "text/javascript"; ga.async = true; ga.src = ("https:" == document.location.protocol ? 23. Or like buying an umbrella and waiting until it starts raining before you use it. Because the only reason I have to restart my computer now is to apply the updates, but I'd rather wait until I had a reason like when I'll be moving far north in a month or two, and will of course have to move the computer. (Note, I'm not actually moving, it's just for the duration of the school year, as I'd rather not have to travel 2,200km every day to get back and forth from school.
24. I install whenever my computer has congregated a sufficient amount of updates, but I would still rather restart it in my own time.
25. Win 7 is pretty damn near perfect for an OS, yes. It NEVER crashes, allows plenty of customization, and has all the features you could expect a computer to have natively apart from one; the ability to use multiple audio drivers at once. There's only one thing about it that I find annoying and can't fix, the lack of an option to turn off the update popup. I don't like turning off my computer because I always have something running, and manually delaying the update every 4 hours gets tiresome after a while.
