  1. People can try out planeteering if they wish...
  2. Yeah, cuz the Aglo Saxons were such angels... Imagine where we would be now, with no electromagnetic accelerators, no aerosol, no paperclips, no gas turbine... that's no LHC, no spray paint, no way of keeping documents together non-permanently, no modern aircraft engines... the world wouldn't have been what it is today then.
  3. Still, just admit to Norwegians playing a large, possitive part in the worlds evolution and I'll stop arguing... about this.
  4. We still haven't forgiven you for raiding our monasteries and murdering our monks...And the Danelaw. Good thing we did away with "the olde religion" centuries before you did. It was filthy and corrupting.... Thor wore a bride's dress once; I don't want my children to look up to him and try to cross-dress, thank you very much. He also, singlehandedly, tore of a bull's head and was constantly fighting the Jotuns.
  5. I never said it was the best, I was just arguing to prove we have played an important role in the world, also I never type with Caps Lock.
  6. Ok, how about gas turbines, cross-country skiing, paper clips, the first man to the south pole, outboard boat motors, keycard locks, brown cheese... and where are the Nobel price seremonies?
  7. Now how about lutefisk, akevitt, coilguns...
  8. If Norway never had contact with the outside world then how com you have aerosol, cheese cutters... and York?
  9. Why use a computer? Now where was that newly discovered tribe that never has met the outside world...
  10. The induviduals kill, the politic side doesn't. The perfectness of a politic oppinion cannot be desided out of how good it works when implemented in a society, but how it should work if used as the first policy in a new society.
  11. ? We were talking about Civ-style games, Team Foretress isn't exactly that.
  12. Good idea! Let's make all of the villains socialists so we [the capitalist nations] can crush them and liberate the people! It's great propaganda for Tip.it. For the record, socialism is just as close to capitalism as it is communism. They all have their good and bad parts, but socialism is the closest to perfect among those that have been mentioned.
  13. When did I swear any oath to protect and help him? What I did was to defend a country that was under attack by a supperior army sent out by three other countries in an unprovoked attack and then help it rebuild. Isn't that what some international treaty existing today requires countries to do? Sere; or how about we ban communsim and then all nuke your planets to kindom come when the game starts?
  14. I don't remember all these times, except for the last Hegemony. I do remember that time when you almost got NWO during that large world war, but Ross figured out. I'm still probaly going to fall for it again, but I've decided to try a peaceful commerce game this time. Now to do my very best to be an isolationist. 1. First time I double crossed anyone was the NWO. 2. Then I promised not to attack you that one time, but I did anyway and blew up all your stations. 3. Then I virus bombed you when I said I wouldn't. 4. Then I ICBM'd you when I said I wouldn't. Oh well, I'm still going to trust you anyways. I think (eventually) you'll find that I'm better as a helpful ally than as an enemy. That reminds me, if I have any decent fleet during the game, I'll try to help people being invaded by aliens. After all, no one is a good trading partner if they're left ruined. :P Believe me, having good intentions get you nowhere... except the grave. Just look at how I've ended in all these games. Mather, your good intentions were to get a supergenerator that could power a massive uber death ship... No, but attacking the Urk-Orz several times were, and so was fighting global warming in the second version and providing Archi with RPGs and allowing people to use my bio-domes on Greenland. Sere; healthcare is good!

  16. And I'll try to be an interventionalist... or a military superpower, as contrary to what I have been.
  17. Aye, we need to make some cratures superior. We are less thsn ants in population, for example, yet we are more productive in total. This is how naturew is, and it is how we should replicate it.
  18. I'm might start a Halo trial game every once in a while, I'll use the name Falador Tavern and the password I'll anounce when I anounce a game.
  19. Jen: You are in a small clearing inside the jungle. Your scanner shows millions of really smal lifesigns (bugs and such), you believe there might be larger creatures in the denser parts.
  20. Gonna do something, Retech?
  21. And I made around 20-50 X-304s each year using only the agreed production scores. ...though they didn't help much against the combined forces of Doom, Dusty and Rocco.
  22. The tech tree was just supposed to be a guideline, not a rule.
  23. Let's just come to an agreement: Archi, you're either mod or player, not both. You may not amplify stuff just to piss people off. Dusty, no exccessive power playing. You may not use any sort of growth/production system other than what we agree on. ^Fair?
  24. Also a group of jaffa attempt to make armour from animal hides strengthened with woven skin straps and small, layered rocks in a shell-like pattern.
  25. Jen: (19) You arrive in a jungle. I'm now going to bed (03:20 here!).
