A large fleet of cloaked(for protection) cargoships have beeen dispatched, carrying a total of 75 b people, to the edge of our known galaxy, their goal is to find new systems to settle. The fleet also carries five houndred jaffa and fifty goa'uld as well as materials enough to turn planet into a "futuristic concrete jungle". And the point of supressing it then is? If the symbiot can do whatever the hell it wants then what is the incentive for Tretonin, since the symbiot could give control back to the host when it left.... A cure takes a long time, a natural vaccine doesn't with people that are imune available. And the reason I mention tretonin is because that is an alternative for jaffa when young goa'ulds are no longer available(humans can take it to, but it "deletes" their natural imune system). But either way, leaving me with 3x China on my 2.5 planets is just unfair, I believe you said yourself that at a certain point it would stop. One other thing too; viruses takes months before starting, if it was a normal disease I would get it, but a virus would need at last 100 years to wipe out the most of my population.

The reason the hosts body doesn't fight back is because the goa'uld takes control of(not sur-/represses) it's immune system(so it is merely "ignoring" the goa'uld) as well as any other function, a goa'uld can even kill the host by merely wanting to. Also the naquadah isn't the prime factor here, but the memory part of the "sticky" white blood cell, even if it was it could be fixed with an injection of liquid naquadah. Actually immunity would not be possible, for obvouis reasons such as the hosts immune system being repressed by the symbiot....Therefore its not so much a complete cure as a temporary cure...and they would automatically reinfect themselves from the bubos. I had forgotten about that so thanks for bringing it up. Basically your survival rate would be 1.9 billion if we went weekly. As for yearly 77 billion would survive until the cure was developed, though it would be much less realistic so the infection-death rate is increased to 50%(As opposed to 20%) (which is far more realistic for plague) so 11.9 billion survive. The imunities of a goa'uld as well as the naquadah passes on in a hosts case, jaffa however doesn't even have an imunesystem without a symbiot(or tretonin). Also anyone with symptoms of the plague is requested to visit nearby public buildings to have a goa'uld temprorarely implanted(as a host, not jaffa), in order to be cured and build up immunity. Also blood samples are taken both pre- and post-op in order to collect information on the illness, when the correct antibody is found it will be artificcially reproduced and distributed as a vaccine.
