Actually Retech is correct, a virus is spread by a microscopic "living syringe" injecting cells with a DNA-thread they carry, the cell however will in most cases reject the alien DNA and carry on as usual, if the virus is to work more than in 1 of the cases it will have to be created by mutating a cell of the desired type and creature or be tested several times during it's creation in order to get the desired effect. When the virus is working however it will mutate the infected cell to make it create cells that do what the virus is supposed to, if this happens mutations of lymphocytes known as natural killer cells and T type lumphycytes will kill the mutated cells, leaving them so that phagocytes can devour them. That again leaves a 0.1 chance of success of the virus working properly while not getting removed by the body, the chance of it spreading after being launched from space however lowers it again to about a 0.001 chace of success.

Would my SAC be rendered useless until I find the neccessary fuel then? I've had it since the old thread and then I'm just supposed to scrap it until I become a primary miletary power with enough forces to take one of those mines? Keep in mind that some actually know how to limit themselves with their power; I for example have not yet used it to make large ammounts of anything, and the only improbable substance I've ever made with it is now for sale.

I think the idea of using a single mineral as fuel for matter converters is just bull[cabbage], it should rather be stricter rules witin matter conversion that all(including Archi) must follow.

I do agree that he makes the gameplay have a better look to it, but other than that he's just breaking it with his godmodding and his refusal to actually research something more than a tenth of what we others would do. Also, Archi; I did explain that your strange matter was way overpowered and way to short-researched not long after you made it, however you just refused to listen to me and argumented with vague assumptions made by smaller scientists that will never get their names in the history books.

I think that, given the complexity of space, exotic matter can be said to have coalesced occasional to form a wormhole. As for size and stability, well that really depends on the situation doesn't it... I do actually want wormholes, but putting them as random events throughout space is quite frankly like raping the laws of space-timed physics. They need FTL energy to exist and exotic matter to keep stable, taking energy out of the equation is like claiming you can run a gasoline engine without fuel and sparkplugs. I am aware that exotic matter exists as well, as half a year or so ago I researched all thing neccesary for wormholes in the hope of implementing Stargates into this game, after just a little research I found out whate they required, FTL electrons and exotic matter stabilizers, and not long after I stumbled upon a real reaserch note that actually descibed a found strange matter(still wasn't allowed to make them however :-( ). The stability of the wormhole is not the reason I said it would be impossible, as they could be created at the location of free flowing orbs of exotic matter, but that the actuall "fuel" for it must be present no matter what.

Archi; wormholes only occur at points where some sort of energy flows at a speed FTL, the only natural occurances of wormholes are; one, in larger black holes(possibly white holes if they exist), two, inside the space-time foam(however these are incredibly small and only last for seconds). That and the way you made the probe consept into was nothing short off an:

Mather stood ground as Octos accelerated towards him, standing as if he had planned to allow him to hit him. But then, as Octos was within three meters away from him, he jumped using two quick movements, like the snap of a whip, by the platform to get even higher. As Mather reached the peak of his jump he was more than four meters up in the air, grim visible right behind where he stood just a few moments ago, then he landed, moving the platform slightly downwards to soften the blow. Octos had long since passed bellow him and was now less than a meter away from grim and his man-eating aura.

Shure you don't want to buy some rings instead of constructing slow and costly elevators, Dusty? After all they're just 500 000 each and can be used for ship-ship, derect ship-planet/planet-ship and internal ship/planetary transport as well.

Mather threw himself to the side moving the platform to keep himself upright. He fired a shot from the deagle directly at Pentos' head. Waiting a little while for Octos to come closer then firing a single shot from the Particle Magnum(which is set at incinerate(plasma)) before flying upwards out of the range Octos could fastly manuvrate to.

Mather caught the explosive device Timothy had thrown at him with a conttracting arm, softening the hit so it didn't go of. He then pulled out a few bars of C4, fastened them to the devicce and threw it through the dimensional gate, firing at it with his PM as it passed through. The explosives were hit right before they had gone out on the other side; it went of. A flash was seen in the portal as it colapsed. ((Ha ha, Pieis, I just killed your new characters in one post without auto-hitting them.))
