those are AWESOME!! i love the idea of them being gold...maybe a future drop or treasure trail item?? what did you animate them in? id like to see some otehr things blinged out. :lol:

just a thought, but you might want to post what you WANT in the sig. that could help a little... never finished this one. guy didnt like style. so yea, hope you like. the characters, only the characters not the backgrounds, were real life pics from google and were traced, recolored and shaded in case you didnt see the thread. anywho, all the rest is freehand stuff. all done in Photoshop. hope i am worthy for the job

just to clear things up. i went to google and did an image search. on about page 4 i found a picture of a guy that was in th pose you see in my sig. i knew that the only way i would get the best qaulity was to trace it. you're entitled to your own opinion of what YOU think is ripped, but personally i see ripping is taking something from someone elses sig. this was a real life picture and i changed some things on him and did the entire background freehand. again, you can think what you want, but i thought i would tell you exactly what i did.

you're entitled to your own opinion of what ripping is, but i dont know if you read that i found a random picture on a google image search or a real life photograph, not a pixel sig that had already been done, and i traced it. like i said though, you're allowed to have your own opinion. :roll:

this has gotten a few more replies than i thought. im glad to see, however, that the majority are willing to "give me a second chance." frankly, i do not know if tracing a photograph which i found on page 4 on a google image search is "ripping" or not. i am in no way trying to defend myself, but like jeppoz said, i was trying to recieve the best result i could. however, i do realize that it WAS unfair for the other entrants. if this makes anyone feel any better, i gave N4K the sig for free and would not accept one dime from him. i think you might see a change in my work, because i am going to try and move away from PS brushed pixel art, to real pixel art. even though this IS my "style" per se. anywho, all will fall into place sooner or later.

the branches of an evergreen tree are fractals. this is a math term taht is defined by any repeating pattern. this means making lots of Y's. if you do it right, youll see what i mean

maya is very difficult, in my opinion. it is very advanced and deals with splines, and splitting polygons and all the goodies, but i think it is the program that you can do the most in. however, like i said, it is very difficult. dont let me stop you from getting it though.

Bryce, 3D Max, Maya, Terragen... search for any of those. you can get most (if not all??) of them on free 30 day tutorials (maya and bryce i know for sure, dont know about 3D max, but i think so.) and terragen is free like kiyell said

It really wasnt a hard decision to make. it was wrong for me to do it in the first place, and i shouldnt be cheating people out of their money. there was no doubt in my mind that sooner or later someone would find out on their own, so i decided to come clean. cheating people out of their money is wrong and isnt fair, and i try and play by the rules. N4K has every right to be angry at me, and i fully understand why.

it took me about 2 hours. i made everything except for the guy. i found a pic of him :oops: and traced around it in black, and the major folds in the shirt. then from there is was all me. i filled it in, created the shadows using the ones in the ORIGINAL pic of the guy. the grass, ocea, cliff, castle, everything else i did. all the coloring, shadowing, burning (thats how to make shadows in PS) was done by me. but it was still dishonest by me, and i should have to pay the consequences.
