  1. Most of our team didn't have Divine/Elysian when we started. Many don't have them now, either. It really bums me out that you talk about us that way... Really? That's a really pleasant surprise. I figured with the amount of drops you've gotten, you all had ESS/DSS by now and preferred not to go with anyone who didn't. That gives me encouragement to go ahead and grind out those last ~1.2k charms to get my Yak.
  2. It really bums me out that I don't have a chance of getting on a team with you guys, because I don't have a DSS.
  3. Well okay then, but my point still stands that using the HT spell to go make fire runes is a waste of time :)
  4. Well, yeah. But you get my point  Obviously you gate home until you need to gate something else, but generally it doesn't take that long for everyone to be able to gate something useful.
  5. Try to do floors with The Bemis when you can and watch him closely. He's pro with a celestial staff. The only bad thing about having more staffs in DGS is that more than one on a team is BAD. They have to compete for fire runes and ess drops. or you can just buy ess, 400 costs 20k The point is to not waste time and to be efficient when gathering fire runes, which most staff users don't do. This. It is [bleep]ing stupid to try to make fire runes at the beginning of a floor, yet some people try to do it. 1) It wastes a huge amount of time at the start of the floor, which could be used to kill monsters. 2) If you hoard enough ess/cash to buy ess at the start that you have enough to make both your tele/cure runes AND fires, you're shortchanging the rest of your team. And by that, I mean that at least one person (maybe more) will probably not have runes to gate stuff at the start, which slows the floor WAY down. 3) You don't NEED fire runes at the start of a floor. With a CCS, your Air Surges will still be powerful enough to dispatch any mage-weak monsters like Warriors you might come across in the first several rooms. 4) Honestly, the most efficient way to craft fires is to just take ess as you find it and then craft like a few dozen every time you come across a RC altar as you progress through the dungeon. Barring that, you'll probably need to HT at some point, so craft 50 or so then. Unless you're one-wayed with some BS rooms like flowers or barrels or some [cabbage], HTing in the middle of the dungeon to craft a few hundred fires is a pretty big waste of time. If there are no GDs and there's nothing to run around gating, as a last resort you could be killing random monsters while you wait for to get extra food/GP and level mod. The only reason you should ever HT to make fires (other than if the keyer tells you because that's the next path to take) is if you have home gated, which really shouldn't happen.
  6. Well, I am pretty damn slow switching to my surgebox, that's the main reason I considered a b-axe.
  7. What do you mean by "people like you" :P
  8. Should be common knowledge. So does every other bonus in dungeoneering. So because I have a B neck, I should get a battle?
  9. Doesn't a b-axe benefit more from a B neck than a 2h?
  10. So this begs the question: Where does a blood necklace rate among third binds? DGS has an ample amount of Hexers, and needs more surgers, so would a CCS be more valuable than a B neck?
  11. I'd like to say to everyone: Make it a habit of checking your ring style when you first get into a floor. It's damn easy to forget to switch back to berserker if you finished a floor on a different ring. It only takes a second to check, and it saves the epic facepalm moment later when you realize you've done more than half the DG on blitzer. I've been guilty of this many times myself, which is why I am saying this. DERP DATS Y MAH HITS SUCKED.
  12. HERRRP DE DERRRRRP ITS ALL THE VICTIMS FAULT DERRRRP I LIKE ENCOURAGING SCUMBAGGERY DERPITTY No, really. Yeah, people should pay more attention, but that still doesn't exonerate him from being labeled a rule-switching douchebag.
  13. Listen to Green, he knows what he's talking about :shades:
  14. If a bug exists, and players abuse it, it's the players' fault. Period.
  15. AFAIK, of the bosses you'd actually do (ABD and up), Shadowforger is the only boss where a rapier outhits a 2h.
  16. Threads like this are why H&A sucks.
  17. Yeah, and really unless you are fighting Necrolord with magic or you have a CCstaff, you probably won't need more than 20-30 casts the entire dungeon. Also, FWIW making Astrals, Laws, and Cosmics takes roughly twenty seconds. I make 10 astrals, which usually results in around 15-20 runes which is plenty for a DG. I make 30 cosmics, which ends up being 60, which is again plenty. And I make 60 laws, which is usually enough but if I not I can just make more whenever I get enough ess drops to make fire runes (which I do during downtime).
  18. And books ;) Maging everything will eat up a [cabbage]ton of fire runes, though.
  19. I [bleep]ing hate these [bleep]ing [wagon] who make [bleep]ing YT videos bragging about abusing bugs. These [bleep]wads are why this game sucks now. And yes, Jagex should most definitely ban them. But they won't. Because they don't care.
  20. Yeah, if you have a CSB and there is a Warrior/high level ghost/Brute/Fire Giant/Greater or Black Demon in the room, it's your job to target it first unless there is also a 133 shade or a dragon in same room. And if there is a Hex on the team, never go after mages unless that is all there is in the room.
  21. Well, Hex bows are so rare that I don't think anybody who can use one would turn it down if they got the drop. And yes, more Cele Cat users would be helpful, but the problem is how long it takes to switch from 2h to mage with the Cele Cat. Also, fire runes are a big issue with the Cele Cat; you can easily burn through 1k+ fires in a floor, especially with t10 Blitzer. That's a good minute or two worth of ess crafting.
