  1. In short, you should get both of them to t10 eventually, and I'd actually argue it may be worth it to get both of them before t10 berserker. Higher % chances make a bigger difference than a 1% strength bonus at that token cost, especially the 100% chance of faster cast rate with t10 Blitzer.
  2. There is a point where efficiency requires so much effort and concentration that it stops being fun. I hate anything click-intensive, especially if it involves using mousekeys to boost productivity. So what if you can get 200k thieving exp per hour blackjacking--- it involves so much goddam clicking that it is miserable to do. And I play games to have FUN, not slave away at them doing things I detest for marginal benefits. That is a big reason why most of my non-combat skills are so low-- it is [bleep]ing tedious to train them efficiently, and it's [bleep]ing slow to train them non-efficiently, so since there is little benefit to training them anyway I might as well not train them at all. I realize that this post is slightly off-topic, but whatever. I hate skilling, so I am not going to ask for advice because I know I wouldn't use it. I think that's the main gripe of the efficient people: H&A topics ask for advice, but more often than not the people who make them have already made up their minds about what they wanted before they posted and were just looking for people to agree with them.
  3. I actually have to agree with the mod on this one. Telling someone misinformation isn't the same as trolling; you can be dumb without necessarily being a troll.
  4. That's because people actually cared about that yesterday. This is crap. Pointless waste of resources for how much it'll be used. And so why the hell does Jagex keep creating stuff for PKers/Clans?
  5. Blade got perm B& because the mods reich thought his short, often-blunt posts were "trolling." If anything, Blade was an anti-troll. People would often post stupid [cabbage] and he'd tear it apart with just a few words.
  6. One step ahead of you.
  7. Jagex accidentally RuneScape.
  8. Servers are Linux, and their PCs are using Windows Vista (probably Windows 7 now) I believe. I saw a picture of the Jagex offices a while back and it showed a developer's PC.
  9. Can someone please sticky this thread? There are so many redundant threads asking about dungeoneering basics/dungeoneering teams, that maybe if someone sticky'd this people would see it and read it before they posted threads asking for DG help.
  10. Shadow Silk Hood. Keep an eye out for night spiders and kill them any time you see one. Also, upgrade your berserker ring to at least t5 (less than 3k tokens), but really t7 (~13k tokens) is optimal until you reach 90+ Other than that, look into the DG sweepers clan chat. You might be able to find some abandons there, although most people don't really do them anymore.
  11. Wonder how many people lost dungeoneering binds (again) due to Jagex being cheap [bleep]ing bastards.
  12. ge will now procede to eat those items. friend accordingly lost divine trying to sell it, he said the offer vanished after about 1/2 an hr of "submitting" If that's really true...
  13. Inb4 a bunch of people lose their Dungeoneering binds. Jagex has got to buy more reliable servers.
  14. Her prayers aren't actually prayers. They just raise her defense but don't reduce or prevent damage.
  15. It's the same in many other minigames or diversion areas. Makes you almost want to leave entirely, eh? Not really. In-fact I think it probably simply tempts more people to bot seeing as there are no consequences and the only bots that are detectable are the ones writen in under 5 minutes. 10 minutes and it's undetectable. World 9 Soul Wars used to be a nice relaxed / small Soul Wars world. Now there are more botters then legit players. =/ And this is exactly what is happening. You're seeing an unprecedented amount of people botting on their high-level MAINS, something I don't even think was commonplace during the bot wars of 2007. People have no fear of getting punished for breaking the rules anymore, so aside from the risk of getting hacked, they see no reason why they shouldn't bot or try to scam people. In a community without rules, anarchy reigns and morality ceases to exist. After all, morality and conscience are directly influenced by what society defines as "the rules." Why is killing a person any different from killing a rat? You don't feel anything when you kill a rat, do you? Killing a rat is still taking the life of another creature. But the thought of killing another person is repulsive, is it not? We are taught "the rules" at a very young age, and so our sense of what is "right" and "wrong" is defined by what we perceive as against "the rules." Society has maintained "rules" prohibiting people from killing other people since the beginning of time, so we associate harsh punishment as a consequence of murder, and therefore the thought of murder elicits negative feelings and anxiety in us. Now, this is a game, and obviously breaking the rules in game can't be equated to killing a person in real life. But the thought behind "why people feel compelled to bot now when they were once afraid to" is the same. It's very easy to rationalize away morality when there are no rules to consider. They no longer fear repercussions for it, and therefore in their minds it is "okay."
  16. Thanks, mods, for censoring a bunch of posts in this thread for spam. You guys are awesome! Oh, wait, no. This entire THREAD is spam. #-o Unspam: We miss you Billy Mays. Your sacrifice will not be in vain!
  17. Catch hell-rats with your cat in Evil Dave's basement, and they'll drop a one to four-dose spice of varying colors. Note that if you plan to stew often, it is very much worth it to do the quest required to obtain a Wily Cat. These have about a very high success rate with catching hell-rats. A regular cat has a much lower success rate, making the process much more frustrating. Red Spice is completely worthless, as it only raises combat stats. Supers/Extremes are better and quicker to make. Don't even bother picking these up. Brown Spice is used for Woodcutting, Farming, Fishing, Mining, and Herblore. Yellow Spice is used for Prayer, Agility, Hunter, Slayer, and Thieving. Orange Spice is used for Smithing, Crafting, Fletching, Runecrafting, Cooking, Construction, and Firemaking. Of all the spices, orange and brown are the two ones you definitely want to keep. To make a stew, you add three doses of spice to it. This gives it a chance to raise/lower your skills by the maximum amount of 5. Theoretically, it can do 6, but that is so rare that most people have never even seen a +6. From my experience, it's about a 1:4 chance of being a +3, 1:6 chance of being +4, and about 1:10 chance of being +5.
  18. I LIKE TYPING IN CAPS WTIH NO PUNCTUATION WAT IS PUNCTUATION AND WHO NEEDS IT REALLY LOL THIS IS ONE HUGE RUNON AND IM AM RUNNING OUT OF BReATH LOL OMG CANT BREATH HALP URGGHHH GURGLE
  19. So i herd u leik 2 lose games?
  20. Torva is worthless, imo, anyway. Its only real use is solo Bandos, and really, you're going to pay like 3b (including a DSS) to spend 3 hrs soloing Bandos? Nah. Pernix is a much better use of your money, especially since you like to Nex a lot
  21. People are stupid. /thread
  22. That's not true actually, before class rings, the spear would have been one of the considerations. Without class rings, it would be between spear and 2h. Without a ring backing it up, the rapier isn't as good iirc. Unless tests today have proven otherwise, I just always remember the serious dungers going back and forth between 2h and spears. I don't remember people at all using 2h's before class rings- having all 3 combat classes and with no mage availability was just too valuable, while the dps was actually basically the same for reasonable def monsters. The max floors also were abandoneds, so the styles used weren't so biased for slash and crush. Eh, it was a toss-up between spears and 2hs. Most used spears, but a 2h was acceptable.
  23. Wat. You are sacrificing a HUGE chunk of strength by using a spear. There is no offensive ring that is good with a spear.
  24. I just ABP'd your sig. DAT SEIZURE
