RS's death penalties outside PvP have been ridiculous for a long time. The majority of deaths come from unpreventable circumstances, such as power outages or d/cs, so it's [developmentally delayed]ed to lose 3+ months worth of work just because some [wagon] hit a power pole with his car. :thumbup: With the exception of Corp and Nex, you really shouldn't be dying anywhere else if you have good gear/levels.

I think low-protect-value items like Rangers boots and the Barrows sets may be affected the most. I can't see Rangers boots staying above 20m now that everyone will protect them.

Bows are worthless outside of Hex Hunter. And most people agree Desperado (rapid) is best for Hex.

I think they should at least make quests give more xp/hr than grinding the skills themselves to provide some point to doing the otherwise useless ones. Seriously. That 5k DG exp is a slap in the face.

what do you mean? they have way more subscribers now. Many of them are botters, though. That's some pretty conclusive proof you have there. You must be right. /sarcasm The number of players doesn't just jump from 150k to well over 200k because of people returning. There's not THAT many people who returned because of these updates. Likewise, not THAT many people quit when Jagex removed the Wilderness. In both cases, a large number of bots comprised the average amount of players online. And my proof is that if you go anywhere that can be farmed for money with little risk, you'll see swarms of low/mid level players all wearing identical noob gear and moving in predictable patterns. And these are just the gold farmers. There are a bunch of players now actively botting on their mains-- case in point was the guy a few pages back at iron dragons, who didn't pick up any drops (including d legs) and was using protect melee with a pony.

This game really has gone to [cabbage] since Free Trade, hasn't it? Bots, scammers, and bug abusers every where you look. Jagex doesn't care-- botters' five bucks are as good as legit players' five bucks, so what's it to them as long as payments aren't fraudulent? I have been happily immersed in Dungeoneering, though, so I haven't really encountered much of these issues. I will say that the few times I've tried to do slayer recently, every world I went to was excessively crowded, and at least a few of them had to be bots because the didn't loot anything and moved in predictable patterns. People aren't even scared to openly bot on their mains anymore.

Jagex knows RS is dying. That's why they don't give a [cabbage] about quality anymore. It's all about wrenching every last penny from the game before they have to shut it down in a year or two. I am really surprised they haven't resorted to selling their own gold yet. That's about the only sell-out they haven't taken.

Not everyone is a sycophant or a Jagex apologist. ;) Fact of the matter is, Jagex does far more stuff deserving of criticism than stuff deserving of praise.

Oh lord. More reasons for people to derp in dungeons. First there were title seekers (that one guy who inconveniences the entire team by refusing to fight anything because he wants I Can Has Heim Crab), and now there will be people trying to do whatever off-the-wall [cabbage] Jagex comes up with.

Need two smithing and two thieving levels. Lackluster rewards. No thanks.

3:3-5:5 mediums are best, but you've got to have some friends to help. If we do get another bind, i'm sure there will be alot of people helping eachother out on the binds, and i'll be smithig some armor/weapons in dgs. To have the highest chance for the item, always do the right floors- 18-20 for rapier, 15-17 for cele cat and 6-8 for prim gauntlets(quit if you get the wrong boss). Of those three, rapier is hardest to get(you have 33% for the right boss, where as you have over 50% chance for the right boss for the other two). That helps a lot, thank you! :D I haven't DG'd since I got 99-- had finals all last week. But I am off this week, so I should get 100 by next week :)

So how do you people get these primal rapiers/CCstaffs anyway? Nobody does abandoned/furnished floors, so your chances of seeing these bosses are pretty low. Do people do like 5:5 small rushes with friends to get them?
