Exactly what I was thinking, focus on 1st looks like it should be shifted to the right a little more, and you move to the left more to get a more acute angled shot. And with the b&w on second. I'd say this too. Though I think you should just move on from this shot.

I'd be up for making tutorials and stuffs. Maybe I'll get round to making that brush set making tutorial I promised eions ago \:D/ If I were to make stuff, it'd be photography-related. Photo taking and photoshop editing, I guess. :

It is posts like this I despise. Not only is it barely true, but it isn't telling anyone how to improve. Oh god, the hypocrisy.. First one is actually really nice, though I think it could do without the big diagonal stripes overlaying the whole piece. If you removed them, and made the text more appealing, it would be improved loads. general tips- don't increase the exposure on some of these; you'll lose detail and it'll look a bit shabby. The girls in 2 and 5 are too bright. ^^ Also, if i were you i'd stay away from fractal brushes (or at least until you are really confident in PS). They make things very messy and are rather hard to implement.

So much insightful critique in this thread <3: The photos don't really have many faults technically, except that the backgrounds are rather messy and detract focus from the car. Unfortunately, one BIG issue with most digital cameras are that the skies blow out and create chromatic aberration (link- the blue edges on objects next to the light). Overall- not bad, but not too visually appealing. :)

Should I do ranarrs? I was big on ranarr farming before I quit.

I'd forgotten about banshees! Are they better than chaos druids?

Second: uhh, i was in school, and just trying to find some interesting places to take photos.. all the photos people take in my class are of trees so I wanted a bit of variation from that theme D: Yeah, I know what you mean though :) I think I put it up because it looked so much better in black and white and that just made me want to put it up because I loved it so much more. :mrgreen: Fifth: thanks :) I think this was the strongest out of the photos I took that day Sixth: I had to be quick and didn't want to over plan this one too much as I was scared the thing would hop away, and the whole day I was on manual focus and didn't think to change it for this shot, so the focus is a little off, granted. A lot don't have a subject because I'm not too sure how to get hold of people that would model and stuff for me :oops: A lot of my friends are very self-concious and teeny so it's a bit difficult :( Thanks for the comment, too :3 Yeah I started around last year christmas time with a [cabbage]ty P&S but it had good adjustable manual settings so I learnt a lot, but it broke not long after (few or so months) and I only just got my current camera (eos 1000D) in September, so this outing (all the fisherman/beachy shots) was working out the camera :)

1. Resize first 2. Auto Levels 3. Brightness +5, Contrast +10 (variations on that same sort of ratio) 4. Try gradient maps out (but set to screen/lighten etc and lower opacity) 5. If you've got a lot of noise, try using noise reducing filters in GIMP/PS (they don't usually do much, so blurring the noise where the photo isn't in focus anyway works well) 6. If you think the photo isn't quite there, always try black and white. In fact, try black and white for like, every photo you take. It can improve an image hundredfold.
