No, they sold out a while ago to MTV just like everyone else that was unique. So you hate em cos they wanted to get noticed? How original. No, I dislike them because of the incredible amount of hyppocracy that most emo bands use in their music. Why on earth would you be sad if you are making thousands of dollars per second? Plus, I don't like whiney voices and somebody screaming to make up for a band that is copying a lot of what other people have already set forth. They are no better than MCR IMO. Getting noticed is one thing, but doing everything to make money is NOT getting noticed. Mostly I just don't like the music anymore, but this has a factor in me not liking them. BTW... tearing apart people's posts does not make you more respected in anyone's eyes...

I've wanted the hippies to win from the first show. I love this show and watch every episode... I want either the Hippies or the black couple to win it, because they really are the only NICE people left.

Death metal takes all of MY anger and says it ot my ears, usually making me feel refreshed and happy. Its like a punching bag sort of... I don't see how the "Lyrics" of death metal can disturb you when bands like Hawthorne Heights are spilling out lyrics about cutting themselves in a public bathroom. Anyone who completely disses death metal or any type of metal has obviously no found the right band for them. If you can't stand the lyrics/voices, listen to Iced Earth. They are a GREAT band and have sort-of death influences riddled throuought their music. The best part is that they still have the Zepplin-esque voice we all love and agree with. If yo seem to like that then start expiramenting with bands. just don't completely hate on a genre because you've never been exposed to it, because in this case ignorance is not bliss.

If you don't like summit, don't force yourself to. That's the only way to broaden your horizons. Something I have not done in a long time. And besides, its good to know that this music exists and that you expirienced it.

Sometimes I feel as if I can't really get into black metal, since a lot of it substitutes wailing guitars with overly-deep voices. I'll try (try to buy) the bands you mentioned though. I heard Burzum (sp?) is a great band. Never heard of a lot of these bands, I'll try to find out more about them. Thanks guys. :wink:

Please for god's sake tell me that was a joke. If thats directed towards me. I didn't react to him like that. I reacted to my friend's pm, which reminded me of the interview in tip.it times where that #1 player was talking about how when he puts on his private chat it's just a blue blur. I don't even remember what I said, but misterxman temp banned a lot of people, including me (I found it to be unjust seeing as how I was defending the guy, but meh). And instead of a temp ban, it gave me a perm because of a multi-login mishap that did not even happen. Supposedly I had been logged in on my home computer to tip.it and I had used the school computer at the same time. WHACK, temp banned for 10 days for doing nothing. No PM after I logged back in from anyone. Then a week later I got banned. I got back because the mods thought that the banning was unjust. Bringing that up on something that has no relevence is completely wrong.

I find that "Satanic" is far less appealing than screaming in death metal bands. The voice of a death metal band (I feel) should be loud and rarely present, not shouting in a deep voice all the time. Arch Enemy is a good example on a good vocalist for a Death Metal band should operate. Off-Topic, aren't a lot of the bands you mention labeled as "Black Metal" and not "Death Metal"? As in Cannibal Corpse.

The mags are nothing more than a whole bunch of ads and a little bit of "AW MY GAWD LOOK AT WHAT SHE IS WEARING! HIDEUS! WTF RLY!" And then there are magazines like Vougue where you literally have to SEARCh for a page without ads. Pathetic.
