It never was about the cash, the experience was the reason. :P Technically though, Jagex doesn't really control the prices of runes and essence. Those prices are under the influence of players... Though I agree that Jagex could do a bit more to stop the liars, any runner could easily just look up the person on the hiscore. I'm pretty sure the development team isn't trying to kill F2P runecrafting.. >.< Using Jagex as a scapegoat for player actions isn't good.
