  1. CLOSE. I never intended for this to be a suggestion. It's just another stupid action of Tip.it moderators "Oo this looks like a suggestion, let's move it!!!". Anyhow even so i gave up on the discussion long time ago. It takes alot of time, and doubt Jagex would bother considering it.
  2. That's the idea but changing races should give a small ability. But for it's mostly about the appearance though. Quests don't have to be re-written. They can still be Human race only, so whenever you decide to do them you change back to Human. The races is mostly for appearance, and will be related to Combat. It should not be something for non-combat skills. But fair enough, i understand it's alot of work. Thanks for feedback.
  3. I don't understand, what do you mean?
  4. :twss: All offence meant here SirHemen, you're being a total [wagon] about this. Just because someone disagrees with your post doesn't mean they have a "closed-mind". And it certainly doesn't mean you start using words that get filtered on here. In my opinion, if you want the play as a Fairy *chuckle* then go find another MMORPG. Runescape has always had Human characters as it was designed that way. In what way does "changing into a fairy to kill a boss" add ANYTHING to the gameplay or evolution of Runescape. All you are suggesting is hours of pointless work for the Jagex team so you can look pretty in pink :P *Sigh* I'll be nice since you don't seem all that bad. Go through and read every post in this thread, you will see that just because someone disagrees with me does not mean i use censored words on them. Basically Grasle is saying that i am "Putting things into his own mouth" by saying that he wanted this thread to fail. Which is what he wants. 1) Calls me selfish (If i am prove it) 2) Mocking me about that Fairy race thing (WTF it's just a funny idea of killing Bandos boss as a Fairy, stop making a big deal out of it) 3) Tells me to go to WoW I don't give a darn about 1, 2, and 3. But i would like it not to be on this topic. And he calls this "Feedback" and denies the fact he wants this thread fo fail (I don't care about that but he denies it then i care). Here i thought of a Runescape with races that is already in Runescape as monsters. With races providing appearance that will create race variety and also give a small ability bonus that's small enough to not impact Runescape that much. It sure would be really interesting, and in my mind i can imagenen playing as a Ork or Fairy honestly. I guess it's because i have good pictures from those two races based on what i have observed from Jagex artwork and in-game Orks. Races would all have near equal abilities, and Human race idea was to give you +1 prayer ponts every minute. That's one of the best abilities of the races. Many would play that race after all... Anyhow, i give up on trying to reason with idiots who say "Go to WoW". So if the moderators decides to close this thread feel free to.
  5. So calling me selfish, telling me to go to WoW, and mocking about what i said about i liked Fairies is feed back? Is there something wrong with you? I have worked on the ideas of what each race can do, in beginning i didn't want to because i did not want to go all suggestive because i don't want it to be a suggestion but just something for Jagex and players to think about, discuss and be aware of. So i had some ideas of how race ability could be to illustrate how races can be fun. I came up with idea of how you can implent races into Runescape: - With restrictions (Skills and Quests can't be done), have turn into Human again for them - With how you can do it without overhauling game Just leave this thread you piece of [cabbage]. The idea is not for you to choose a different race, you get the option to choose one or stay as a Human race. So [bleep] off. I did not put anything into your mouth, you do a nice job there yourself.
  6. This proves that Safalaan Hallow (Leader of "The Myreque") is a Icyene: [yt]KiygO7eiVy0[/yt] 1) Notice the cyan eyes (Commander Zilyana have same thing) 2) Notice the size of Safalaan compared to other characters in video 3) Notice the power blast Safalaan does to defeat the two Vyrewatch, looks similiar? After Safalaan did that huge power blast, he said he was weakened. The one Commander Zilyana is doing is a defensive one that's very small. 4) His last name is Hallow He must be a Icyene. There is so many resemblances.
  7. Thanks. Mechscape is about technology and i hate that kind of games.
  8. So selfish of you is it to make a thread like this over a feature beyond impractical, requiring massive reworks of the mechanics of Runescape on something that is already totally fine, simply because you want to frollick around with a candy wand and fairy wings. As has been said before: if you want races, go play WoW. The more 'fixes' and 'features' you make the worse it gets. By the way - why is this topic still in General Discussion? This is a suggestion. If you can't have open mind about stuff, games will not have good updates. What is it that makes you find other players playing other character races so "OMG They can't do that!!". Why the hell is it your business? If we like to play as other race characters then we do it that way, get out of our way. The candy wand and fairy wings? I love fairies, they are beautiful and magical. But i am a male so if i play as a Fairy it will just be merely for the fun of killing bosses with the small size. I would play Fairy race character once and kill bosses. Then change back to my primary - Human. Then do Vampire and Orks as well depending on what i am gonna do. It's alot work, but if Jagex pulls it off, it will be great. If you don't like this topic just don't post, and that will contribute, i repeat contribute to this thread going down (That's what you want so go along with that).
  9. Here you go :D http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Arposandra
  10. First of all i read somewhere that the "Races" your mentioning was classes. It was not races. And if you read my topic thoroughly you will find out that this idea allows you to use all races. It just costs 100,000 GP to change race and all of the races have a small ability. The Human race have one of the best from my view.
  11. So you can safespot Metal dragons with Dragon halberd? Because with antifire potion and a step away the dragon you can safespot all dragons expect Brutal, KBD and Mithril dragons. As for armour, rangers don't need it. They can just safespot. Don't say melee is overpowered when range can safespot and melee can't effectively. Ranged - distance and at most monsters a safespot>So safety Melee - close combat>Damaged Melee becomes the better option as skill is leveled, and it's deserved that. It costs cash for food, potions, good armour etc for melee. Dragon hally gives a safespot option, but it's slow and not everyone have Dragon as choice. So if you go under Dragon you end up slow and less accurate damage hitting attacks.
  12. No problem. But way i look at it, Jagex could make base forms and have it that way til they get time to work on armour and other items
  13. I like Runescape, so i want it to become better. First of all, why should i go play WoW? Why can't you just think "This is a good option for those who likes race variety in their characters" and just stay as a human race character yourself? What is it that's so important that you don't want others to play as other races (Feel free to tell)? It's funny when mentioning overhaul that you say "because you want to look like a fairy", i can respond back to that... A fairy is a beautiful and magical race. You like magic? I am sure you do, you use the spellbook in Runescape everyday. You like beautiful things? You don't? Like i said, a Fairy owning Bandos boss would be awesome. That's how i look at it. Also there's a way to makes races without overhaul of the game. But it should be a temporary option from my view. Basically you make a base form for all races, and this base form will have a weapon just for looks. If you equip items your characters look will stay same, and it will not change at all. Just a weapon and a form of the race. But as you equip items, your stats change. If you use a Abyssal whip, your attacks with the race will be as fast and accurate as a Abyssal whip. If you equip a Godsword, same way... So it can work doing it THAT way. All you need is a base form and animations for the race. Of course there will be restrictions, but that's a thing we who use the races gotta think about. But the idea of the race is to enjoy killing as a other race. Later when Jagex have time they can work on the baseform of races and do a overhaul if possible.
  14. Really, then why is all the monsters mostly demons, goblins or beasts? Just because there is human player characters everywhere does not mean that's only option. Also, a race character can have restrictions: 1) You have to turn back into Human for a quest? 2) You can't do skills, Firemaking, cooking, agility, fishing, woodcutting etc (Depending if Jagex bother to do animation for the skills or not) Even so, if you like Human character then choose that! Infact Human race gets according to my idea +1 more prayer point every minute. That's really good! But it's so selfish to say "Nuff said." because that's indirectly saying "I want all characters to be human race, because that's how I want it"... Every considered some other players wants to maybe have variety?
  15. Exactly, one the main reasons I play this game over other MMOs is you don't have to deal with permanent races and classes. I suppse if the races were changeable I wouldn't have a problem with it. If you read the thread, you will see that it can be changed for 100,000 GP per race transform.
  16. Dire_Wolf posted a topic in Questionnaires
If Jagex made it so you could play as these races: Fairy, Elf, Icyene, Vampire, Ork, Werewolf, Dwarf, Aviansies and Human which we have now. Which would you choose? Fairy, a small yet beautiful and magical race? Ork, a vicious and brutal race? Icyene, a angelic race? Vampire, a race of darkness? Werewolf? What race would you play as primary? I would primary play as a Human.
  17. If Jagex works on a race every year and introduce it through a quest i think it could turn out great. Anyhow i wanna hear what the obstacles are. I will mention some i know already and you guys (and girls) can mention more if you know of: 1) Overhaul of items (Weapon and armor) for new race A Fairy could have a very small Godsword for example, just because a weapon is small does not have to mean it's not powerful. 2) Animations (Running and attacking and others) 3) Restrictions on what new races can not done (Agility leveling as an example) or 4) Make animations for new races to do restricted things. Burning logs, doing agility course, cooking, woodcutting, fishing etc Example a Ork race would do all skills in a brutal way. So you gotta show that off in animations. 5) Don't deal with emotes, leave that to Human race. Emotes are not that needed anyway, and being Human race have great ability too so if you want emotes you can also choose to stay as a Human.
  18. Found this video, his voice is funny lol.. [yt]J-nZNfDNsa8[/yt] "I show you how to make 80K per hour"
  19. I don't think we need Dragon kiteshield, but can't wait for it to be released. So all useless Dragon item will no longer be released! But Dragon kiteshield is not something i would dislike. Just wouldn't use it if the stats would stink.
  20. As i have said the races can be introduced into the game through quests. It does not have to be perfect from the start. They can have the races without armoury and weapon appearence. Eventually they can update it and add armour and weapon to the races to make it look better. Runescape didn't go from low detail to high detail in a month. It took time, and races is same thing.
  21. It means a Fairy can travel through Fairy magic to places within Fairy codes without a staff or ring. Or is that to overpowered? Should i make it so that Fairies can do it without staff instead? Personally i would use: Human, Orc, Vampire and Icyene and Aviansie. They all have great abilities. It however will cost me alot money (100,000 GP per transformation), so i gotta be a race for a period and think hard before i change again. There is many races that are exciting to play as. Making races will create more variety in player characters. Runescape is about bow and arrow, sword and shield, staff and magic. It's about adventure and fantasy. Transforming into a race and roleplay as a monster is quite fun. The abilities i have given the races is just what they will get. The Elf's ability is something i was not sure of, so you can call it stupid if you want but if you have a better option then let me know. First of all: Human race is what everyone will be right? Human race lets you generate +1 prayer point every minute! You don't have to choose between races because all of the races have great advantages. They are all good, and to choose it costs 100,000 GP! So it will be expensive, and the abilities is not so powerful that it will make a big difference. The only problem is the weapon and armoury. If races is implented into game and races gets their own items drawed (items that we have already but drawed for each race) then it definitely will make the game much better.
  22. Here is how it would look like. It could be a temporary stage so that Jagex can work on items for races, since that requires alot work. So: Stage 1: Get races into game (Attack animations for races and their abilities and appearences) Stage 2: Add armour/weapons and other items to races 1 by 1 Stag 3: Fix bugs Ladycai, a chance of dart speed attack won't be a big advantage at all. It's about pure luck. The speed can't be controlled and you can't be sure if you will get that ability or not. It will help for bosses and other monsters, but it won't make such huge impact.
  23. I know if Jagex did this, it would be such a amazing update. It would be incredible. Emotes>No need, you can do that in Human race. I doubt anyone would go like "Oh my god i can't do emotes :( ". It will be a challenge how Jagex put skillcape and boots and gloves on a monster, but i definetly think it's managable. If they can put a Armadyl plate on a Aviansie and armour on a Orc, they definetly can find a way to do same with other items. Oh my god i think i figured out how they can make it work. Here it is. You transform into a race, i choose a Orc. I decide to gear up for Bandos right? I wear my Bandos solo equipment. Helm of neizinot, Karil's top, Torag's leg, Fire cape, Rune defender, Abyssal whip, Ring of wealth, Fury, Barrow gloves, Dragon boots And my inventory. Then i click the "Show equipment". As it shows, on my equipment it shows what i am equipping. But...the race my character will be this: But the attack, defence, prayer and strength bonus i will have is based on the equipment i am using. Example i will be attacking with a Orc weapon, but i will have the properties of a Abyssal whip just not when it comes to appearance. That could really make it work, what do you think?
