just keep as light as possible and let your hitpoints go down to around 10-12 or so before eating. You take less damage that way. try to keep your hit points consistently at that level

if you really want to skip just go to burthorpe slayer master and ask for another assignment. I don't think they are too bad at all and I usually get two or three clues during a turoth assignment. I just kill until I get a clue then take a break for the treasure trail. Then go back and do it again.

you can buy the weapons at any of the slayer masters. They drop clues and some other decent drops. I would go ahead and do them.

what about gold smithing with the gauntlets? I thought that was the fastest?

I'd have to disagree on the Ape Atoll suggestion...you will fail quite often. Best bet is to do wildy course. No need to fear pkers, just take boots of lightness, spottier cape, and dds with a bunch of cakes stolen from the stall in Ardy.

what about using the new assist thing?

I'm not there yet so I couldn't tell you from experience (I'm only leve 92 combat, level 73 slayer). But I have seen threads saying they prefer the Shilo slayer master. Take a look at the list of tasks and maybe that would help you to decide.

Ok, here's my after action report. 39 Iron dragons. Loot: about 5k gp addy battleaxe 3 rune limbs 40 rune javelins addy axe 9 rune darts (p) 5 rune knives addy square 6 soul runes 105 bloods Used: 4 1/2 four dose anti-fire pots (accidently wasted 2 doses though thanks to laptop touch pad) - bought for 3k ea. about 400 mith bolts (these I actually picked up when someone died killing blues) 2 sharks (one a victim of my laptop as well) Conclusions: Overall, once I alch/sell the loot I'd make a profit but nothing to write home about. If I did it again, I'd definitely use better bolts to help speed it up - too many blue splashes and takes forever. It was a change of pace at least! Not sure whether I'll Burthorpe them or not next time.

Is there a guide for ranging Irons? Just got it as a slayer task for the first time and never tested them. Not sure if its even a good idea but I'm level 83 range and wanted to get some thoughts on it if there is no guide. I've meleed the bronze dragons but would rather see if there is a ranging option for the irons. Any suggestions appreciated!

I need to do the same thing. do you have to go through the whole process again of putting it in the cart and moving all the levers and all that? Or is it in the cart where it ends up at the end? Hope that made sense

Ok, for some reason I really hate these things and always Burthorpe them when I get for slayer. I've tried different tactics including using pray bonus equipment but I don't seem to last very long without using lots of p pots. I'm poor so I don't have the fancy gear but my stats are: 70 atk 72 str 70 def 80 range 64 magic 58 prayer Any suggestions?

I know I just got rid of a bunch of hardleather bodies. The first one sold at 85gp then quickly (not slowly!) went to 17gp and bottomed out. I knew I should have just dropped them! :)

That is more ignorant to say than anything I've heard yet? Why can't you expect that? Did you ever learn common decency or are you just some loser kid that doesn't care about other people? And I wouldn't say I expect people to be "polite and proper" just respectful and show a little bit of courtesy. If you're a jerk online then you're probably a jerk offline as well. Some people forget that the other "characters" in this game are actually real people. You don't have to extra polite, just don't be a childish brat.
