  1. What? I'll play by your reasoning here. How does not admitting that I'm wrong make it so that I can't judge you for being wrong? Surely you see that this is irrational. There are such things as implications. There is such a thing as figurative language. Just because something is not expressly stated does not mean it does not exist or is not relevant to the topic at hand. You don't seem to recognize this, and this is a large part of everyone's frustration with you.
  2. That's obviously what everyone has been criticizing you the most for. Also for using words you don't know and not accepting that you're wrong. Don't pretend like we're attacking you because we think you're good at reasoning.
  3. ^ Yup. It also sounds like you read a few Wikipedia articles on logical fallacies so you think you can perfectly and rationally analyze everything. It's really annoying.
  4. @Assume_Nothing, Assuming isn't necessarily a bad thing, lol. You do it all the time. Maybe assuming irrationally is bad, but assuming with rationality is still assuming.
  5. Also wondering this.
  6. >yet no one has bothered to quote some of my older posts (or more recent) to point out which specific terms are unnecessary. >In the last page or so, you've said all of those words. Some are a bit debatable, but they're more or less unnecessary. That's a specific list of words that you used that someone thought was unnecessary. I don't see how you can possibly say that nobody posted words that they felt were unnecessary.
  7. In the last page or so, you've said all of those words. Some are a bit debatable, but they're more or less unnecessary. I'm sure you're smart enough to think of simpler words that convey the same meaning.
  8. i lol'd Without trying to attack you, Assume_Nothing, in my opinion you seem to be trying to live up to a reputation as some deep intellectual skeptic by using unnecessarily complicated words. It makes you look like you used a thesaurus for everything you write and it's quite silly.

Yeah I still have a phone too. I use a cheap (but still durable) prepaid phone that's similar to a blackberry in design but without all the cool capabilities. The software luckily glitched out so that there's virtually no expiration date on any minutes I buy, so I'm in complete control of how much it costs, it probably averages out to no more than 10 bucks a month. It's awesome. So I keep that with me strictly for calling and texting, and use my iPod for everything else.

Oh, I forgot to mention all that plus no monthly fee. I could think of some phones that do all that well too, but to do all that with just the initial purchase price nd no expensive recurring fee is awesome.

Not to mention I've had my same iPod Touch since 2008 now and it's still going strong. I use it every day for music, games, internet, etc. Can't think of any other device that could do it as well as the iPod.

I still like the iPad way better than any other tablet I've used.

I really don't see that being the case, Gabe. You don't live in the U.S. Hype comes and goes fast, and this will be no different. Americans think it helps to advertise this shit and that it will make a difference when it doesn't. They will all loose interest in this quickly like they always do. You're the exception though, right?
  16. Yup. I say this coming off of my 4th ban. Shit's ridiculous lately.
  17. You and every other kid in elementary school.

I saw Stray From the Path, Terror, and Every Time I Die last week. Amazing. I was really just there for Stray From the Path, they did not disappoint at all. I got to sing into the mic a lot too. Worth all the punches in the face and bruises.
  19. Awesome list! Great call on Touche Amore, La Dispute, The Wonder Years, Emery and Stray from the Path. Saw Emery a few months ago, and I saw Stray from the Path last week. [bleep]ing amazing, easily one of my favorite bands currently. I'll check out some of your other stuff too.
