  1. [/hide] I love it too. Sorry, Jagex, but USA's flag isn't the same as the one for the EU, or whatever you had planned to put in there. Let me help you, THIS is the flag of the EU: (Look in the back) Cut them some slack. They don't know the difference between Austria and Australia either xD
  2. Who. Cares. I mean, really? Of all t he things to complain about, we pick this? They've approached a high-profile, very respected PVMer (PVM master?) to traack progress and give 'tips' in DT. Here's an idea. If you don't like it, don't partake. It's going to help some people, so how is that at all a bad thing? Edit: Re: E-fame He's already got e-fame. Already people flocking to him whenever he is in game, already huge numbers of followers and love over YT, so I don't see how this will be "helping" him TO e-fame. Manifesting more? Maybe.
  3. MIsread that shit. Mawr worlds are gone Meh.
  4. Two ways of approaching this. 1) Yes. You are training mage and gearing for summoning, which 'trains' more than one skill at a time (efficiency and all that rubbish [here]). From all reports (personally, I went with option 2 so this is all secondhand) they are extremely good for both mage xp and crims. If you have the patience and want "quicker" charms, I'd go with this. 2) Slay instead. I realise that there are many tasks (Fire Giants springs to mind as it's mine) where you are going to get little to no decent charms (read: crimson/blue - assuming you, like many, won't use gold/green) but the charms do stack up, there are a fair few tasks at 90+ (I see that you're 90) that you can mage slay (metal dragons, abby demons, nechs, black demons etc) to gain xp in, whilst grabbing charms for summoning and mage. That said, if it's all about SPEED, definitely go with option 1.
  5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8fWJX02iV7k&feature=channel_video_title Sound was busted, sadly. But you get the point (ie running in circles and killing shit). After the video, had a nechs task which produced an effigy (22 task dry streak broken) and 86k mage xp (barrage <3333) - 91FM, 93WC, 95 Crafting*, 97 Farming (effigy to go on RC). 25k Farm and 5k Herb assist today, 1 spirit tree checked, another still growing, sitting a touch over 45k till 98, hopefully the tree will be done by tomorrow and I can have a sexy level up pic. 246k to 98 slayer. Friday, Saturday at the latest.

There will be others with more experience that will be able to give extremely useful tips, especially regarding SS switching, but none the less:- - Remembering that Glacor hits aren't 'determined' until the hit reaches you, you do have time to switch prayers, so I keep my prayer tab open until it is necessary to use my inventory tab (either for food, for re-overloading or to switch weapons for the glacites). Bearing this in mind, you will always have 2 prayer tickers on the screen to keep you reminded of time to prayer. While PR potions are useful, you mind find you need to bring some extra pots (either plain or super prayers) to top up in 'emergencies' if you are to use them. Personally, I use super prayers, but that is mainly on account of having several hundred in my bank that are seldom used. - I lure glacites away from the glacor using fire surge, then switch to melee to kill them. It is possible to find "safe" spots in which you can stand, melee the glacites (with pro-melee if necessary, I use it because I'm using low-defence gear and I find I get hit a little much for my liking) without having to worry about the attack of the glacor

What exactly are you asking for?

  10. Small (read: bump) update. Been (derrr) slaying a lot again, lots of downtime with minimal shifts and uni finishing up. I have installed FRAPS and some video editing software on my PC, so hopefully in the next day or two, I can set up a VLOG of me trolling you all my exploits rather than a wall of text. In the mean-time:- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwRMYz1vfcQ Tasks since last update:- Gargoyle Greater Demon Vyrewatch Terror Dogs Black Demon Hellhound Dark Beast Gargoyle Vyrewatch Suqah Greater Demon Been trolled pretty hard, no effigies, sitting at 14 (I believe) tasks dry. Incoming levels:- 98 Slayer (405k away, should be done by Sunday at the latest) 98 Farm (136k away, Friday given assists everyday and spirit trees are fully grown) Avg Slayer XP for 31/12 Completion:- 27220xp/day (down 3081xp from last update) Avg Slayer XP for 30/11 Completion:- 56316/day (down 4286xp from last update)
  11. First up, I want to say FSM, it was a very well written article. You have articulated your points very well, even though I may not agree completely. ------- I will try to disengage completely from the pissing contest and (if even subtle) flaming that has come before. I do see merit in the points raised, but I also am concerned by some. I have seen a number of threads in H+A (and advice requests in game) that have been extremely vague in regards to the topic at hand (lets say, for instance, what is the best gear to bandos in) and provide NO RESTRICTION in the beginning. Obviously, this is met by remarks regarding Torva, Elysian/Spectral/whatever - gear the effectively cuts out a large proportion of people bandosing (seemingly). Of course, this has been met with flaming and angst regarding the "efficiency trolls" answering with such suggestion because the restrictions should be self-evident rather than having to be explained (because afterall we have full knowledge of your gear, bank worth and whatnot). This flaming is unacceptable (well, in theory, I mean, I'm not a mod, I don't enforce the rules). Conversely, in situations where the "efficiency trolls" (ignoring the fact that simply naming them this is beyond moronic and creates an environment where they are more likely to troll) do act outside of the restrictions - when given - is somewhat non-sensicle because whilst in a generalised situation it is (the majority of the time) very good advice, it is of no relevance to the individual player. If this gets taken to far, again, this is unacceptable. Regarding Dungeoneering, you're right, we should learn at our own pace. But to simply refuse the advice of those who research things and have a vast knowledge (hell, I'm still learning things about ABD2s and Occs @ 106) marginalises ones ability to learn and progress. I agree that in some cases, the teachers can come across as confronting - if not aggressive - but in any situation involving imparting knowledge - classroom, university, tuition of any kind really - there are going to be teachers who are kind and willing to protect your feelings, and others who are to the point, and expect the best of you (and of course, hundreds of mid-grounds in between). All teaching styles are valid. That said, this is a game, you are in a situation to step back and say "I don't want to do it this way". Now, this may be met with contempt but too bad. People aren't going to like the decisions you make, regardless of the how airy-fairy we put it. Having had experience previously with the efficiency guys and being on XPW, I know them to be very respectful, but this seems to get caught up in the hype that has been built up here and elsewhere that they are somehow simply out to destroy the fun of the game and whatnot. We all play the game how we want - that's a given. We all have the ability to give advice that we deem to be relevant to the questions asked, if we have the knowledge. We can disagree on not. We don't have to flame either side about it. And lets face it, once one side starts, the other is rarely going to just stand and take it.
  12. Armoured Zombies are definitely an excellent choice, especially with a nearby altar to turm/piety as mentioned above. That said, whilst not *the fastest* I'd recommend slayer on the grounds that it is still exceptionally quick, and you are of course, training multiple skills. Things to help:- - Piety/turm (turm-ss combo for longer trips) - Extremes (or atleast a supers) - Full bandos - DDef
  13. Rune Wiki pages on each pouch shows GE price (mid) and shard return. Compare. Etc Edit: b10

  16. 50 kills into task (first chromatic kills since 99 Sum) for egg. His name is Pokemon.
  17. So, I guess, it's update time (IE gotta keep blog on page one). Big slayer day today, had some extremely fast tasks, and some extremely high xp tasks today:- - 159 Hellhound - 109 Vyrewatch - 145 Hellhound - 225 Dark Beast - 154 Greater Demon - 152 Dark Beast - 170 Blue Dragon (About to start Blue Drags, Yak Banking engage. <3 Spirit Cape). Total XP (before bds) = 151077xp (169369 after). The first three tasks were done early this morning having woken up extremely early and being unable to get back to sleep, so I was able to get a fair bit in. 1 Effigy (sad - from second hellhound task): 91 Cook, 93 Farm, 95 Smith*, 97 Summoning. The farming step was made even more valuable by the fact I couldn't get an assist done in farm today, but when I offered herb was rushed (free 30k herb, that 300k+ saved). Dragonkin Lamp used (of course) on RunEffigycrafting, which led to:- I'm 8 DK lamps from 80, but given that Troll Invasion resets in 2 days. and I'm using JOAT xp tome on RC, this should be done fairly quickly. (183k to 80, 120k from JOAT + PH&S + TI this week, bit more using hood etc). Tracker:- Avg Slayer XP for 31/12 Completion:- 30301xp/day Avg Slayer XP for 30/11 Completion:- 60602xp/day Given that my AVG daily xp gain in slayer since the start of my RT profile is 66,293xp/day, it's plausible. Furthermore, having averaged 74082xp/day this month so far (that last day will make a huge difference), with 3 days bringing less than 6k xp, it's looking seriously close. (Apologies for the maths, t'is my maths teacher side/desire to have a plan of attack shining through). The "tracker" I'll put at the bottom of each post to see if it drops or increases as we get closer. And if you're crazy enough to have read through the maths (I know you have <3), have some SvsS:-
