The you need to take another look at ranged because it is far more underpowered than melee or mage atm. Dragon crossbow is something range needs to become part of the combat triangle again. (and if it fails like the hc i will will blow up Jagex ) I obviously have or i wouldn't have said it, range is fine atm, if it was sooo underpowered why do so many people still use range for pvm activities? Because you find a stafe spot and stay there until you're done/run out of arrows, have to bank. If you melee, you gotta bring food or other stuff. Let's face it, ranging without safespots sucks. I don't think that has ever been brought up. you need to mage in safespots also, so face it range/mage/meele are quite equal atm. nice try  Yes, but Mages can also freeze you. Rangers are entirely dependent on safe spots, at least as it relates to PVM and honestly, that's all I care about.

Okay, point missed. Lots of people can handle them, but other things that are small to people is what really kills them. For me, it's a headache.

3rd Age/Spirit shields/Phats Discussion

If that is the case, maybe it would be nice if for once every 3 months one of the mods spends a week or so getting the correct value of a certain group of items and manually sets their values on the GE. Because right now since some people are willing to jump through so many hoops for these god forsaken items it means that everyone is expected to do the same, which sucks. -
Magic is not a secondary form of combat... I hate it when people say that. Magic is, like it or not, a secondary form of combat. That's just what happens when magic is vastly inferior to melee and range. Barring quests, I can't remember the last time I've ever used magical attacks without bringing a melee or range weapon along... How long until we get weapons with a magical melee option? :P

I think one the effects we have not being utilized enough is either stunning/knockback. Those are could be of great use.

Evil Tree didn't have one at first, but they added one later. You'd think Jagex would learn from their mistakes, but...

Also, most of the Mahjarrat are pathetic when it comes to melee combat -- Lucien has next to no ability to fight physically (I believe that one NPC called his attempts to use a sword "laughable"), and I would guess that most of the Mahjarrat are the same. They seem to rely too much on magic for the curses to be all based on melee. Then again, it could be argued that the curses are melee based because Zaros's followers were so inept and needed the help. This is likely to have come from another Mahjarrat, who when comparing Lucien's abilities to his own was laughable, but compared to a normal person, might have been devastating. Also, for all intensive purposes it appears that the Ancient Magiks were for only a few people to use back then. Anyone having done Making/Metting History quests would know standard spells were around very, very early on. And who is to say that the majoirty of Zaros' followers used Magic? It's never really been properly explained. Also while it's true that the Mahjarrat are heavily based on Magic, why do we assume they use prayers either? Maybe prayers don't affect them because of their race. You are making a big assumption there. It was from the warrior guy in the ghostly robes miniquest. He was a mercenary who worked for Zamorak and when questioned about Lucian, he said he was better with a sword then him. Yeah, you're right. Also though i believe he was no ordinary person and was an extremely able person to get the role of a bodyguard of Zamorak.

True. I hate running through monsters with a Deflect curse on and having my character stop to do the littl knockback animation and screwing it up.

The worst thing I can get that totally puts me down is a headache. I don't know why. I know other people get them and aren't that affected by them, but for me a headache just kills me. I can handle stomach aches, stiff necks, insect bites, all that, but why oh why is it that when I get a headache I just want to curl into a ball in the dark with no light or sound and just lay on my bed. This is the second day in a row with a headache and I hate it. God someone give me some Alieve and a quiet place to sleep it off.

Blade, I reccommend you read my post again. I was giving an opinion on merchanters. Truth be told, it had little to do with your thread. I just dislike merchanters.

I thought they learned their lesson from the Evil Tree when they added a countdown timer to it. Did they forget or what? It's the little things like this that make me contemptuous of Jagex these days. -
New Skill Speculation - Shape Shifting
Me_Hate_Libs replied to Central_Keeper's topic in General Discussion
The reason why it's not being discussed is because there is nothing to discuss. Not enough information, if any to be honest, is available to us. So we wait patiently and idiots will keep asking when it will be released. -
Erm... gratz on your potential mute anyways? and boo you for making people cry. Another misguided player... Half of the RuneScape players don't strive for player-interaction, but that doesn't mean you must ignore them just because they don't talk much. And you are thinking that everyone who plays runescape is taking random statements seriously and sensitively. That's exactly what large clans and people with full friend lists want you to think. However, my short test proved those illusions wrong. Not everyone in RS is acting as a little kid taking random words said by total strangers to heart. And about muting, potential is the keyword. I have never been muted and wont ever be. No they won't take it to heart because they'll think you're just being a complete idiot not worth wasting their time telling 'Shut up' to. <_< I know I'd not waste my time responding to someone just shouting insults at me that I don't even know. Some people will take offence to it though so don't be so confident about not being muted. And you can't blame them. Sure, not everyone wants to have player interaction, I'm personally one of these people. I'm happy to go about my business in silence. However just because I'm not talking it doesn't mean that I'm not listening. Plus she'll blind you with the sun glaring off her super paleness. That is of course on the rare day when the sun shines in England. :P

Um, why? It's pointless, poorly thought out, and adds nothing to the game. Better that a fuss is made of it early so they change it before their attention moves on to something else. I think we're thinking of two different things. I wasn't really talking about the update quality. -

It is a comination of thw two. It takes part from them both. It's not exactly the same as both and has all the mechanics of both combined. Like Pengs, it's once a week and gives you a vague hint, which is similar to evil trees and their vague hint, and that are also every two hours. Like Pengs though you must find the spot and will not be teleported there. -

Me_Hate_Libs replied to Toad's topic in General Discussion
It's basically the same mechanics for Penguins (hint and once a week) combined with Evil Tree (only once every two hours on that world). So um, deal with it? And Joe, glad you found it funny. I was worried that joke might be a little old for tip.it.
