  1. I think the capes would be cloth with bits of metal interwoven into them. Kind of a mesh, or maybe they could be made like chainmail, but only in the shape of a cape.
  2. Yeah, guess these trying to overcompensate for a giant blunder they made. In the past there giant blunders was to vaguely admit it, then never mention it again. People who died in Falador didn't even get a single GP back let alone some free membership.
  3. Yeah, I think it'll only have 2 parts and won't focus on the Mourner's so much, but whoever is sending them. We go into the Elven city to investigate. And probably die. Whatever.
  4. By your logic, you have no right to complain about "people boo hooing about slayer exp" because you are not one of them. Also, according to your logic, citizens of a country have no right to vote for their leader unless they have already been the leader of a country. No, actually I think his point is that people complaing about it and have only played RS2 have little room to stand compared to someone who played RSC and remembers the horror that was trying to levels on there.
  5. Jagex aren't stupid. A bit lazy from time to time I think, but not stupid. For the past two increments of 50 for quests go, they gave us something special. They know that we're counting on this. And you better believe they pay attention to their own and their fansite's forums. I don't think they'd just real some pile of crap for a 150th quest. Realizing our expectations, that would just be a giant finger to all their players.
  6. Yeah and I wasn't really dumped. She asked me if I would go with her, but I live in Florida and she wanted me to move to Try, New York. She's a great girl and all, but I wasn't freezing off my testes for her. So she left. I really want Jagex to release better stuff. It still feels like filler to me. I would rather keep the 2 decent to good updates a month than going back to the 4 crap ones with the occasional gem that they were doing in years previous to that. I mean "A Sould's Bane." Seriously? Someone thought that was worth the time of coding? #-o
  7. Ralvash is gone; Muspah, famous, sleeps with the fishies, if fishies frozen could be. That's where the shadows are shadowed, and even the delvers don't dare. Bizarre: one day it's almost time for a shadow to shift - and a shadow to open its unblinking, empty eye. Wasn't the Mahjarrat Sliske described one time as a being that delves into the Shadows? And isn't he the being to have supposedly given the Barrows Brothers their powers?
  8. Yeah, not to get on Jagex too much, but I'm still really trying to see the point of this whole storyline. It's short, kinda dull, no real backstory, and produces rather mediocre items. Is this what they come up with then they're bored?
  9. It was a joke to what I believe what was Resonae making a sarcastic post about the BTS. I'm actually in a great mood today. So good that not even you dweebs will be bugging me.
  10. Even if the Elemental series were to lead to the Soul Altar, the way it looks, there is at least one quest inbetween mind and soul. Also, I don't think even jagex would go from two massively easy quests in a series to having the absolute longest and hardest.
  11. I'm guessing you were literally born yesterday then?
  12. Very doubtful. Even though they took it back, every rune altar since law came as a result of completing a quest and not from playing a minigame. And as soul is the highest lvl rune to craft, will probably come after a very difficult quest.
  13. I think Jagex pretty much looks at their game like Micheal Jackson looks at his face. They try so hard to constantly improve it, fix it, and make it better that they soon are left with something that barely resembles what it is they started out with. -edit- Maybe I should suscribe to the tried and true Tip.it method of posting of quoting 30 other people's posts and adding a :P at the end?
  14. I don't think they would really have the nerve to do that. I don't care how great you claim the quest is or actually turns out to be, if you go 2 months without a quest, they will get some serious backlash.
  15. Jagex, I beg you to take some very old advice... "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
  16. And Pest Control ran wild for a very long time and let a lot of people get many easy CB levels before it was brought back down. Hopefully the Slayer minigame if it happens won't be allowed to run rampant for months like PC.
  17. No because my posts came out like that because they were partially conversational with other people's posts. OT: Besides the big quest they *hopefully* have brewing for us, did anyone else consider that maybe a few months to a year back they legitimately ran low of ideas to develop and add to the game? Does anyone else think that perhaps this attempt at making the game more efficient this year was used as a stall to let them come up with and create stuff for 2010? Oh well, in any case I'm going back to my freezer.
  18. So like I said, I'll chill in the freezer next to Disney and someone wake me when they finish streamlining the game and go back to more interesting stuff.
  19. I don't use them. I don't use any familiars really. I prefer to do all my combat myself. I only do summoning for the pets honestly and I do it from ToG and Penguins. If they're good, that's cool. If they're not, not gonna bother me anytime soon.
  20. It's not all ranting, but yeah, I do tear them down quite a bit. And a lot is also me trying to be funny, if you don't find it funny, whatever. I do the anger thing when I'm talking. I don't genuinely feel all that upset by it. I do think Jagex has done an about face on the gaming principles they used to hold. That irks me quite a lot. Personally I thought the Walt Disney one quite funny. But on topic, I think this stuff should be run of the mill update and fix stuff. Not presented as new content. It comes across like they're trying to fool us.
  21. I'm not personally against the D&D stuff myself. I rather like it. Without it I would be like lvl 12 Summoning. It just stinks because when you keep adding things like it people expect things to constantly be getting easier and easier. Not people really, but kids. Then I get the whining. Nothing like some 11 year old demanding that you not only tell him where all the penguins are, but you stop whatever you're doing to take him to every single one because he thinks he's entitled to that experience. And personally I'd like some kind of D&D or Minigame where you have to mix up potions quickly or a little bit of fishing, farming, and construction.
  22. More out of routine than anything else I guess. Also because when they get something good out there, I really do enjoy it. My problem with them is their assault of bad, filler content they use to throw at us to keep us busy. When I see a lot of their content, it reminds me of when a teacher at school gives you some crossword on the subject you're studying because it's a half day and they aren't going to try anything. So they give you busy work. *cough* Trouble Brewing *cough* Also I take issue with what I think is their constant pandering the younger audiences. I'm also very sarcastic and my girlfriend just left me because she moved to Albany to become a flight attendant. Mondays...
  23. I'm sure they'll find a way to turn it into a snoozefest with an awesome reward that forces people to play their dull game in order to obtain. Clearly Jagex is a bunch of guys who hate the rest of us cause they can't get girls to come back to their flats.
  24. Yeah construction was casually metioned as a news post for a future update from time to time, but in the BTS they said at the end of the month they were adding little thing like teleport tabs and chairs you could sit on. Then Boom! Construction. Personally I think they'll hold it until March when they're gonna have no decent updates except the quest. Then first week will be quest, and 3 weeks after of crap. The quest will distract you from the horrid updates for the rest of March.
  25. No, I can honestly say that that has never happened to me. People tend to not bother down there for a price check, I rarely walk around with summoning familiars, and I have a good idea what monetary range any single item has and whether I want to keep it. This is worthless to me.
