I'm sure it was probably something unintentional. I bet they have bits of land spread out everywhere waiting for actual content to be put there. Probably just a misplaced line of code though.

RuneScape Q&A Further Answers 05-Mar-2009

At least a Diary might make people to to Keldagrim for once.... and only once, and that will be like for a week. Yay? :? -
The Eastern Lands: To debut very soon ...likely soon ... or sooner rather than later... ... um, probably later... ... yeah later... ... erm, eventually... ... along with Prifddinas... ... we've never heard of the eastern lands... "Psst, someone replace Ak-Haranu with a ghost who found the bolts racks and act like the eastern guy never existed."
-
What is your definition of soon? Because I think the Jagex definition of soon is as long as it's before Jesus comes back. btw, Jesus detests violence and must therefore be a skiller. :o

Randoms and their affect on AFK training

The higher your skill total as well as your past record for successful completions of random events means you get less randoms. -
Randoms and their affect on AFK training

It's not illegal because it's not against the law. It isn't even really against their concrete rules. As long as you're not using an auto clicker it's not as big of a deal. -
In Pyre Need? No, it's not. Far from it. I really don't think they could stand to disappoint us on this. It's been too long coming. And it better be here before April.

Barely... -.-

Mostly cause noons are ignorant and we're too impatient to try and teach and correct them, and they can't take a hint and leave alone and bug us, so we start being mean to them. It's crap all the way around.

I'm not sure how dynamic caps would help or hurt the situation, but basing prices on uncompleted offers would make it possible to lower the price of an item when it's selling for max. People could just put in massive buy offers for the min price for decent items (gs, claws, etc) and lower the price without spending anything. And then there would be people who would crash markets just for [cabbage] and giggles. Maybe they should finally go ahead and determine the value of each item and lock it in place and do the same for each future item? I'm personally against it, but if it would stop all the complaining... maybe they should go for it.

Seriously? Until you have the resources? Jagex, you guys have had for-mother*bleep*ing-ever to develop this and it sounds like you haven't taken step 1 towards this thing. Why did you even bother to nap it or put in on the world map? Just to screw with us. I didn't mind it not being released, but I thought for sure that they had an idea or it was coming down the line in some way , but to hear that you haven't even started yet? The hell...? :x Also, Elf series isn't the only quest series. Let's not forget about the following: - Pirates - Myreque - Slugs - Evil Dwarves - Zanis and the chest of doom - Lucien - The northern lands - Desert bugs I'm happy if any of these get the occasional update, Elf series might be the longest Quest series, but that doesn't mean it's the most prominent. On the Achievement Diaries... Why is everyone forgetting Kharid (Al Kharid, Desert w/ Nardah, Pollniveach, Nardah, Sophanem and Menaphos)? There's a LOT more to do there than in the Wilderness. Which, despite being so large in scope, really doesn't have anything special going for it. Desert hard tasks could be like: Enter Chamber 6/7 in Pyramid Plunder, sell a Pyramid Top to Tempeton, kill an Aberrant Spectre in the Desert Slayer Dungeon, equip an Enchanted Water Tiara... etc etc. The only thing the Wilderness has going for it is combat, nothing else. Kill the Chaos Elemental, enter high-end Bounty Hunter, chop a Magic Tree, hunt a Black Salamander, Mage Arena is all that's unique, all the rest is just anvils and the like that can be found elsewhere. We haven't got an Achievement diary: Amulet, Leggings, Weapon, Cape (and Quiver?). That means at least 4 diaries that are open. Ardougne will probably be one of them, Kharid I assume. The one I'd like to see next to it is Morytania. Hopefully the last'll be something like Troll + Dwarves + Ogres or something. Perhaps even that Wilderness if they find enough stuff to do there. Actually it's because it's the quest that has been the longest since any kind of quest to be released and those walls have been taunting me for years... As far as a cleaning skill, there are sweepers in Varrock. Maybe we start out as their apprentice and we use herblore to mix to cleaners to use. At lvl 10 you can Mop! -
Are you saying you don't find Swept Away and Myths of the White Lands fulfilling quest? :shame: You dare question Jagex? Then you shall die and spend an eternity in limbo, otherwise known as F2P! Oh wait, you say you're already there? Well that sucks. #-o

I said right in there I'd have no prblem if it was in the works. My point was they haven't even started it. Not even taken Step 1. It's just sitting there. Stilll... -
RuneScapes largest quest 2date Return Of Lucien... or WGS?
Me_Hate_Libs replied to Mercifull's topic in General Discussion
Wait the stone was unguarded I wonder. Actually I think it was said somewhere that he was the first non deity to have discovered the location of the Stone of Jas. I think before it was there Zammy was the one who found it at the ToG site it was at previously. -
I'd love if it they had some kind of "Engineering" skill that you could learn from the Dwarves. You could make your own transports like their mine carts, make combat followers that wouldn't be only around for an hour, but have a certain amount of hits until they're broken and you have to make another or repair the old one... I don't know what else, but that's some stuff it could do. I don't even know if you could properly incorporate it into the game and not have it seem out of place, but not a terrible thing to mull over at Jagex Towers.

To be honest, no one who merchants will gain any sympathy from me about the money they lose.
-
Not if they then actually go through with it, which is close enough to what they're doing already. But on another note, Jagex... please, I beg you... give me something to do besides a couple of trees that fills up 9 minutes of my playing time every day, if I can even find them. And before you try, nuh-uh, not another team based minigame. :shame: *edit* I'm more or less there. I could use a break to go out and let some content pile up while I'm away. With how the year is going, I'll come back in 2010 and clear all that up in around 3 days. Hey, maybe they can give us a new color for our boots and that'll be another week's worth of updates?

These days, there's only 1 quest each month, or none (like february...) so it HAS to come out in March. Otherwise Easter quest = 150th quest. That would be a major kick to the Easter Eggs. And a major kick in my private parts... rofl I think that's what beriorn meant ;) Moving away from talking about testicles... I'd like to say that I hope this quest is TRULY epic, and will be something as we have never seen before. I enjoyed WGS a lot, and if number 150 can top it, I wonder what the future for quests will be. I hope that 150 is a true EPIC and that the following quests are more challenging and have deeper and more interesting storylines. I also hope that they reveal more map area this year. Last year they revealed about 2 spaces... big deal. So far we've had a couple areas revealed this year, and I really hope they continue with that... one a month would be great. The main RuneScape continent's been unfinished for around 10 years now, and it really needs to be completed so we can see the release of the next continent... most likely the Eastern Lands. I know this was supposed to be upgrade year, but to me "upgrading" means finishing the unfinished without adding new things. And, well... the map's unfinished. Runecrafting is unfinished. Many quest storylines are unfinished. Fix some of them. :) Also, in regards of the Soul altar... I hope it's released this year, even if it's near the end I'll be pleased. There was a THREE YEAR span between the death and blood altars, but law was released just a year before death. Jagex can't let this time pattern continue. Runecrafting was the first skill released with RuneScape 2, and so far they've made... OK you know what, I've got 2045 total level and I forgot how many they've made without finishing the first one. Ridiculous. They really need to get the soul altar released so runecrafting can be labeled complete. I don't want to be waiting until 2010 or 2011 for it... or, Guthix forbid, 2012 or beyond. 10 years now? You sure about that? Kinda hard since the game just recently hit the 8 year mark since the game as we knew it in any recognizable way was released. I'll grant you I've been wanting to get into the Pirfddinas for a very long time, but I don't think it's been a decade.

I'd like them to put up a sign on the mainpage: "Runescape is closed for the rest of the year while we renovate the game. Come back in 2010 when we'll be adding content again."

I never said Evil Tree was bad. I didn't say Soul Wars is bad. They personally aren't my thing. Jagex used to offer a lot more variety of things to do is my point. I guess one of my main issues besides the boring updates is this moving towards having a lot more team or multiple people based content. I'm not digging that. -

Yeah, and it was an Evil Tree. And Soul Wars was a mini-game I won't ever play, though I don't say it's bad, just not my thing. This game is getting dull for me. Then stop playing and move on. Seriously. Nobody is forcing you to play the game. No, I was pretty happy with how they were developing the game. It kept me happy. I don't like how they're doing it now. I know nobody is forcing me to play the game, but I've put too much effort and time into this game to just give up on it. I just really don't like the direction they're taking the game. They say they wanted more transparency and honesty and they wanted to gear the game away from little kids. That's great and all, but for the game itself, it's coming up short. Very short. *Edit* And I don't care how many people think it's great or say that I'm complaning. Just because a bunch of people like it or don't like it doesn't make it right or wrong. A lot of people hated them nerfing the wild, but doesn't mean it was the right or wrong choice. I think where they are heading is somewhere I might not want to follow for too much longer. -

I'm all for improving the game, but these are *bleep*ing glorified patch notes!
