I "suspect" that it'll suck.
-
Maybe, but the human mind feels most comfortable with symmetric, geometric figures, such as a complete circle. Last time I checked, this game was made and run by humans. Yeah, but Jagex doesn't make everything geometric. In fact very little of it is geometric. That and I thought the game was being run by penguins... with thumbs.

I didn't mean you specifically. Just with a lot of things like this lately people assume things. I can see why you'd think it would be a circle like that, but above it with the skeles, spiders, and lessers, only 3/4 of it is land down there. Now that the dragon is gone, man it would be sweet to rebuild Crandor.

How to know when you're over a game

I'll be quitting by default. I'm not paying for members and I can't stand not being a member. More of a catch 22. -
How to know when you're over a game
Me_Hate_Libs replied to Me_Hate_Libs's topic in General Discussion
Oh, I'm sure that since I've played the game for so long I can still sit around here and complain about how much they're screwing up the game I no longer play. Then I can make other people mad and I'll feel happy. \ As far as real life, I've got a girl, and I might finally get a Wii to go along with my 360. To reword a quote of a great comedian. "I find Runescape very educational. Because every time I see it I go into the other room and read a book." -edit- It's not a rant or moan about the game itself. Just that I don't feel a desire to rant or moan about what happened. I'm not bothered by the game. I'm bothered that I'm not bothered by the game. But thanks for not missing my point. -
Yeh, I'm pretty brutal on the forums. No, I didn't mean from the off-topic arguing, I meant from the whole thread. It's decoded. Nothing left. Figured out. Let's all sit quietly until MMG throws us another crumb.

The year won't ever change. This is a "frozen in time" game. A slice of life kind of thing. Leave it be. Don't poke the bear. :shame:

why is it also being assumed that the city in the volcano will be a circle and be that size? Maybe half of it is smooth rock that they couldn't build a city out of? Maybe the city of only 3/4 or half the size you think it is?

How to know when you're over a game

I know what you mean... that's not this. I don't know if I can explain it to you. Maybe because at the time when you took those breaks, you thought you had quit forever, only to come back so you think I'll do the same. I'm not. I can feel it. I know that I won't be back. That's why I said I'm over it. Not "I'm angry" or "I'm quitting for a few months." I just see it in my head as the brick wall of the dead end. The ride is over. -
Nechryaels, the 80 Slayer monster, deserve better Drops

Or they could also start to drop those granite boots we never got? -
Almost entirely General Discussion. I don't need help and advice cause I know the game very well. And I don't do rants in the typical sense.

Whoever created the actual Plane is mine. Dunno who that is. Guthix didn't create he, he merely shaped it. So whoever created the plane itself would've been more powerful than him.

How to know when you're over a game

Maybe honest wasn't the right word to use. But when I said make money, I meant that literally. I make the money. I get drops, I make things and sell to stores, I high alchemy stuff. Merchanting is not making money, it's merely aquiring other people's money. No new money was ever created by merchanting. And also I used the term Pking in the pre-PVP world sense. Back in the old ways, same thing. You only aquired the wealth of the people you killed. I don't find either of these two methods for obtaining money how I think a player should. And this isn't an issue of taking a break, or being tired. I use to think that I played the game, and it kept me occupied, and my lack of excitement or enthusiasm was me getting older, maturing, and behaving more like an adult. That's why this felt like a shock to me. Runescape itself didn't shock me, but the realization that the game is not what I want anymore was. And the shock that nothing on RS could cause me to feel anything. If you lose 5 million and you don't even cough, something is wrong. -
I thought Marimbo was a relatively new god? Or at least the city devoted to him was built only recently. And no, he didn't create the Vampires. There has yet to be anything in game the game saying he didn't, but I'm telling you right now, no. No! Bad Runescaper! No!

Okay, we've got this thing solved. Can we move on now?

How to know when you're over a game

I could never do f2p in any sort of regular way. I've been spoiled on members for more than 6 years. I mean the thing is, I don't merchant. I don't PK. I've never done any of that. All my money comes honestly and it is money that I have made myself. So when you do it that way, 5 mill is definitely a lot of time. If I had been upset and stormed out of my room, than yeah, I would've not played for a couple of days, but I'd have been back. But to see it happen and only pay attention to it with the mildest of interests, to evoke no emotion at all, good or bad, that's depressing in it's own way. -
First of all, this is not a rant nor is it a criticism of Jagex or the Runescape game itself. So apparently, I died. I was going to hunt gargoyles, thought I had stopped short, but must've gone in. I was on here talking and stuff. I log back in in Catherby with my Barrows top and bottom and my GS. Lost a quest cape, drag boots, slayer helm, ammy of fury, berserker ring, and some food. I lost about 5 mill in 10 minutes. So I went and replaced it. Left me about 2 mill in my bank. And now I don't want to play anymore. Not because I'm mad over what happened. In fact, I didn't even open my mouth. But by the realization that I'm so over the game that a boneheaded move making my lose 5 million doesn't even make me bat an eyelash. I got about 2 months on my membership and I'll use it, but I know that I won't be renewing it again. It just makes me a little sad that after 7 years of playing, I don't QUIT like so many others, or am forced to leave it because I got better things to do, it ends with so little emotion. I think I'm gonna go have a slice of pizza now... :|

Never been to a sity on Runescape... Underwater City was mentioned by Guthix in a God Letter I believe, showing how long ago that was thrown out there. Eastern Lands is not a city, but a whole expansion. Tz-Hzaar will be released at some point. Darkmeyer, yeah that'll be half of it above Meyerditch and probably that stronghold moving east and spreading south to the water. The Untouched Island is looking like ruins more than a city. Think Uzer, but in better condition. And the Unknown Empire is pretty much the wildnerness, edgeville, varrock, digsite. All the teleports go there. As far as Gnome City, meh. I don't care of those short little twerps.
-
I debated on having you be able to wear armor. I personally don't think you should, but then the reward would be limited cause it would otherwise be a safe minigame as you'd have no risk. But... if the portal got rid of any familiars you had, and can't have any in your inventory, then that's solved. Also, after you get teleported and until you make it back to Lumbridge or log out, no trading. And the portal "skulls" you. So no safe 3 items. Also, having a friend help you, maybe. But you'd still have to wait for them to get you, and as I said, the spot you'd be teleported to is random. Also, that screws up avoiding crowded areas if you're teleported into arodugne market or some such place. And, like I also said, there are factors into your reward. If you get no attacks, then your reward will suck. And before you say then you could have your friend attack you, yeah, that's a problem. And I don't have a solution to it. Then again, Jagex doesn't have much solution for when people do that anyways to exploit PVP but that doesn't stop them. I was curious about whether the idea had worth and might prove beneficial to develop in some way. I didn't go through the labor of trying to design an entire new minigame with every little detail fleshed out. That's what content developers get paid for. And I'm not trying to figure out an easier way to get PVP or money or whatever, just something different.

Personally, I wouldn't have the healing spells, nor this stuff increasing/decreasing attack speeds, nor affecting how much exp you get for doing what, etc. Also specify a few of the points where your teleport takes to. I mean, Karamja teleport? Big difference between teleporting on Cairn Isle and teleporting to the General Store by the plantation. I do like the push spells. A little stun and not so far back would be good. 4 spaces and 4 seconds stun would be sweet.

Well, everything can be improved. It does not however need "reviving." It's pretty vital and doing well the way it is.

I could've sworn the guy who gave the Barrows brothers their powers was Sliske, the so-called "serpent-tongued." And I can't go into it all, but I think Jagex in a way confirmed, through an Azzanadra letter in PBFTH that we haven't seen Sliske yet. That and coupled with his description of one who delves into the shadows, I'm pretty sure the Strange Old Man isn't Sliske.
-
I gotta ask thought too, has Jagex in any way shape or form cofirmed there will be an Easter update?

i can't find any cute little things to associate with passover. It's like "yay let's celebrate the day when god killed a bunch of innocent kids for no other reason than the leader of their people liked having slaves!(not there is any evidence of hebrew people ever being enslaved in egypt mind you) I'll bring the potato pancake things, you bring the unleavened bread." I'm not Jewish and I don't care about all that. I just want a little beanie to wear on my head. :twss: lulz, with a propeller? No. Since it's a Passover event you'd need a traditional reward. Plus, the event could be awesome. Learning how to make Kosher food, seperate milk and meat dragon plates fro Diango, maybe drinking from his magic matzaball soup ten times and getting exp? I mean why not? And instead of the Easter Bunny, you could have a little rabbi. I've seen a lot of names on Runescape, but would be cool to finally see a Sol or Herschel. =D> Dradel We could make it out of soft clay? And then with dradel we shall play! ... for a week? Maybe less? #-o
