  1. I don't want to sound like an elitist, because apparently on here pointing out that you know more about the game than most people makes you worse than Hitler, but anyway, this is pretty much *another* update that is useless to me and most people I hang out with because we know the layout of the world, dungeon, etc. And we certainly don't need a new HP bar that makes my backside pucker every time I see it. Looks like Jagex has is sticking true to one of their oldest mottos: "If it ain't broke, you're not trying hard enough."
  2. No, it looks awful. I mean the old one was basic, but this looks both generic and cheesy. I feel like I'm playing Mortal Kombat on my SNES with this crap. You kill Jagex in your sig, you say you're retired, yet your whining that the update is lame and not worthy of your approval. If you want to do something about the quality of the updates you have to stop paying a company money to disappoint you. I have stopped paying them. My membership runs out in 8 days, and I'm not renewing. And I'm semi-retired. Plus, even if I didn't play, I can log in and tell you a terrible update when I see it.
  3. I think the green and red arrows are a bit much. Very few dungeons would justify using those. The very least take them off the surface map.

  5. Their update is such a bunch of glorified patch notes that they don't even have any real patch notes to add. I laugh at their failure. Now everyone go back to what you were doing before you got your hopes up for something fun to do. -.-
  6. Chaos Elemental mentioned a Myreque quest in Raktuber. That's probably what they're thinking. Morytania is a bit of a dark place, but dunno. Something that "improves" the game without actually improving gameplay I'd guess. -edit- Can someone give me a link to their offical Twitter page?
  7. More than likely it'll be to banish them. I'm pretty sure the only way for them to truly die is through their ritual. Also makes me wonder how old some of these guys were when they first arrived, and no one seems to really talk about Frenskae much. At least we got to hear a bit of Freneskaean folklore from Jhallan. I'd love to see some other things brought in from that plane. Maybe since Zamorak has become a God and the gods can traverse the planes, he could pull in some outlandish stuff for us to kill. Lvl 507 Fluffy, Ravenous Bunnies!!! Damn Skippy Hippie. They have enough Monty Python stuff in the game. Why not a MP boss monster?
  8. Yeah, so do I. But it's a game and that makes the use of your money very limited. I mean, in real life you can make billions then spend it as you see fit, donate it, give to the poor, or other people. Maybe that's cause the real word doesn't have a trade limit? :-k Having a large cashpile enables me to do most things in the game the fun way , for instance im barraging rock lobs where if i didnt have a large amount cash , i couldnt do it. I don't mean large amounts. I mean obscene amounts. When you're merching multiple shields and have over 500M, I mean what's the point of doing stuff specifically to make more? To show how much you have? What's the big deal?

  10. It beats the old practice of sticking their finger up their backsides and then flicking it at us.
  11. Here's what I don't get, if you have enough money to get involved in this level or merching, it basically means you have enough money to buy anything you want in the game. And probably a few times over. I understand you can also make *obscene* amounts of money, as well as lose it though that isn't my point. But why? I mean, why make all that money? What do you intend to do with it. This isn't real life where you can spend the money on anything you want for your own enjoyment, their are limits as to items available because they have to be created. Your house in the game can only be so large. You make the money to have the money, but ata a point, their is no use for having that much money.
  12. I don't want to come across as a typical whiner, but I'd really like if they gave a *general* idea for release. I mean we've had a few of these on the dwarf quest, we've had two now on the rest feature, even if they threw in a "4-6 month" guess at the end, I'd like it. And anyone tempted to say that it if it took longer than that, and their would be a lot of people complaining, we know. :| You use that argument ad nauseum. :x I just want a vague idea here.

  15. Actually, the backstory wasn't pointless. We knew that Icthlarin was the one who got the Mahjarrat, but we never knew why. It was to use them to battle Zaros. Also, we knew they left him to join Zaros, but we never knew that they were warring with each other. Also, it's pretty clear that when they join Zaros, they defeated the desert, it was conquered, then destroyed to the point is became a desert. A lot wasn't explicitly stated within the dialogue, but from other quests, we can gather as much.
  16. Well, they won't care if too many clans have to squeeze into one world. If you don't like it, tough. If you want to see more PVP worlds, you'll have to make it so that all the PVP worlds are over capacity at peak times. Then they'll add another server or 2, then you can use at nonpeak times for you clan stuffs.
  17. The first number shows what your variable attack level currently is, i.e. in case of a pot, 79/72. While the second number shows what your stationary attack level you have achieved via exp gained.
  18. I've never been a big fan of clans, but even I can see the other side. This is called a multiplayer game for a reason. It's much easier and MORE FUN with other people. Could you imagine how boring RS would be if you had to do everything by yourself? And as lame as it sounds, being in a clan kind of feels like being in a family after a while. Being able to log in and just chill and talk to everyone while escaping the real world is just a great feeling. Organized domination is so much more enjoyable than with random people you don't even know. Multiplayer is because multiple people play the game, not because multiple are required to play it. And I don't mind talking to people, but to form a clan and go through all that, eh what a waste of time.
  19. Yeah, it's off topic, but the topic stinks anyway. Could someone explain to me the point of a home world on Runescape? All the servers are pretty much the same. Unless your homeworld is like trawler fishing or something, in which case it wouldn't go PVP, there's no rational reason for it.
  20. Cause BH/PvP makes it worthwhile with drops. Well there may be even more bad news for you -- I'll bet Jagex either has nerfed or will nerf the drops. If they wanted to really screw with them, they could make most of the areas singleway combat. That would be high-larious. =D>
  21. Also because a lot of people have quest capes because we don't bother getting a 99 and we need that cape back because it's the best quest we have and we need to wear it during other combat related activities.
  22. The quest itself was a perfectly fine intermediate quest. People are upset cause a lot of the updates we've been getting do not look like they can reasonably fill up the time and manpower Jagex has at it's disposal. So we're wondering what it is they're doing with their time because it's clearly not apparent from the updates we're getting.
  23. The bonehead move was you posting. Oh take a joke. I mean seriously, there is almost no point to clans anymore. Anything can be borrowed, anything can be assisted, heck you even have your own familiar to do stuff for you, there are minigames to do things with other people. Clans are just a place for a bunch of people to get together to either a) play the game with other people because they can't enjoy it by themselves, in which case they really should just hang out with other people or B) complain about the game. :geek:
  24. I do the quests ASAP because I've done every other quest and am =P~ over some new content.
