  1. I think being gone for as long as four years means you can't really grasp minor fixes. So many fixes have been made, and fixes made to fix the previous fixes that were meant to be fixed, but were broken, I don't think you can properly affix an objective view on minor fixes made to the variety of small things needing fixing. However, those of us with a total fixation on the game can properly monitor minor and major fixes and whether said fixes do in fact fix things that need to be fixed in the game. ... fix.
  2. You mean you think that 2009 *is going* to be the best year since 2005. Those things you mentioned are things so far to be released. 2009 *so far* however is crappy.
  3. Personally, I have no faith in Jagex, but I do have faith in the Gowers. I'm holding onto the hope that the "Guthix Edicts" is a plan Andrew and Paul(Guthix) have to fire everyone at Jagex(other Gods interfering into Runescape), and completely strip down Runescape and rebuild it again as they see fit using code they secretely put in the game(Stone of Jas).
  4. Dude! Has anyone noticed that the bit of ice on the world map blacked out for so long is now viewable and during the quest, it says this is the place for the new ritual... sweet.
  5. A new quest chain... cause after all, we *reall* need another one. :wall:
  6. Since WGS was only released a little over 6 months ago, I bet it'll still be a little while until we get the sequel. So the sequel to Cold War is most likely. I hope it's good.
  7. Regardless if this person is serious or not, a lot of people use this line of BS as an excuse. Most of them have really fat and lazy kids, and LAWDY knows it can't be their faults that their kids are fat, lazy, and stupid. It's gotta be a point and lcik game turning them into these lardbutts, not the food they buy the kid and then go in their rooms. So basically... Parents Today = Fail Black Grandmothers = Pass
  8. The DD itself was fine and I do enjoy knowing how they come up with all this, but using my crystal ball I can tell you right now this quest will involve puzzles, kebabs, beer, and will totally suck. :wall:
  9. Even though you don't use it, you have to have your *entire* inventory free.
  10. I don't usually see that, but you could still put it on one world and probably get that world having more people and having less hot spots. So screw the rewards and just make it clothing showing you could do it.
  11. Scythe was best holiday weapon because it actually had + stats on it. They sucked, but better than -100 everything and -10 strength.
  12. Well, I thought you would've gotten this, but okay... Granite is known for having great ranged def. So they'd be slightly less in stats than drag, but better than rune. And their ranged def stat would be better than the drag. Maybe an additional +2 or +3. And they'd be a rarer drop then rune boots.
  13. I love the two sides of this. I love how no one is saying how much they liked the event. The two sides are: 1) People who thing the event totally sucked 2) People who think you can't complain about anything on this game no matter what cause it's "only pixels."
  14. I tink they hit on a winner when it came to the idea of a quest/event with f2p getting a week or two to do it, then making it a members quest. Today was a step backward.
  15. He's what they should do: Make the 200th quest now. Make it fricken huge! Store it in a lockbox. Use the one Al Gore never used. Hide it. When the time comes to release it, you have it ready to go and we never have to go through this crap again like with 150.
  16. I was merely using your post as an example. I apologize for implying that you were the only one complaining. That doesn't change the fact that the holiday events are for everyone, F2P and P2P alike. Also, I didn't mean "free" like you didn't have to pay real money for it, but rather an item that required no in-game currency or even any real effort to obtain. I didn't say you were a kid, merely that all of the complaining going on was making everyone sound like a bunch of children. Not the only one complaining. I didn't complain about wanting more Holidays. I only wanted a Passover event cause I wanted a yarmulke/beanie to wear on my head. I thought the quest idea was brilliant. This event though... seriously? #-o
  17. Hey man don't quote me like I'm the one who complains about wanting more Holiday events and so forth. I personally thought they hit a really nice stride with ther f2p quests for 2 weeks or so. I thought that was a great idea. Also, I'm a member so it isn't free. And I'm 24. Hardly a kid.
  18. I think that they didn't have an event planned, but a couple of developers over there went on a meth binge over the weekend and stayed up for 48 hours creating it. I agree with the theory that this was a rush job. The event was a pallette swipe of a Christmas event, and the carrot is a clone of the rubber chicken. Very little creativity there, and I actually enjoyed the previous events. Oh well, there's still six months until the Halloween event. I dropped the carrot by the time I got to Mortifier, never to see it again most likely.

  20. Wow, you know Jagex has hit rock bottom when they are nerfing old holiday items by bringing out new versions of the same old crap.
  21. Oh god.. prepare yourself for WWIII over *Is PK-ing morally right* kind of argument... *Runs and hides in basement, then installs anti-flame nuke shield.* Well when you think of it, the only 3 ways money enters RuneScape are: 1) Coin drops 2) Alchemy 3) Selling to General Store And none of those are good ways to make money. Even look at skills, you mine ores and you sell them. That money isn't new either. Well, I typically use my ore, make stuff, and sell it. Now however if I sold that ore, then someone else would use it to make stuff. Then they could either sell it and create money, or they sell it to other people. Those people either make money off it, or use it. So I contribute to the making of money, or someone having a use for the item, which I find to be right. Maybe this isn't an "effective" way of obtaining money, but it's a way of actually making it. Like I said, and you can't refute it. Merchanting or PKing is only obtaning someone else's money. You do not create any wealth yourself. As far as moral, meh. I just don't think it's proper and I don't do it. I don't think you guys should be prevented from doing it if you want to, that's not my thing. So you guys can do it if you like. Oh, and I'm not looking for pity. It was just me stating what happened. If you want to pity someone, pity the guy who had to take credit for developing the '09 Easter Event.
  22. I'm not saying for Jagex to magically fix it. I was saying on that issue, I don't know how to solve it. I was asking if the idea itself had any potential, or if it sucks to the point that like Wilderness Tag, it should be scrapped. And let's be frank, PVP popularity is way down. Probably need to reduce the worlds and force more people into fewer worlds.
  23. Thanks for entertaining me for a whole 14 minutes. Way to go Jagex! :wall:
