  1. Very related, good job. By the way... Leave it up to a cynic to twist something into something completely irrelevant, just to be cynical. No, that was why people don't know how to play PC. On another note, old Jagex gearing their game towards little kids. Cataclysmic fail!
  2. Noooo stoopid, just the day celebrating his rebirth. Duh! :geek:
  3. Just quit already, you're annoying. I was being sarcastic. I meant though they could be a lot more vague about their BTS. The rest was mine. You must admit some of their stuff has been abandoned. *cough* Keldagrim *cough*
  4. Prototype BTS: We got a quest for you this month. A team based minigame you'll play for a week Another quest, but bigger and with a city that'll be abandoned in 2 weeks. And some slayer monster that'll suck. Happy April of '09
  5. I'd much rather read about issues with the 150th quest on the forums then have to hear about it elsewhere from his clan chat.
  6. Jagex is numbing our brains into sleep with dull updates. :-#
  7. Wave 9 is the Undead Avatar of the Dead Sailing Skill \
  8. Thank goodness =D> That (and that the 150th quest is going to be big) is the best news that I have heard this year! Maybe the Easter update this year is Jesus ressurecting the skill from MMG's dead?
  9. They want to starve you so badly for an update that you won't even care when you get it that it's some crap about depositing stuff into your bank.
  10.       Owned. I knew that was a good one. Scary thing is Mark probably refers to himself as The Jagex Pope. =D> Nooo, this will be the Easter Event... Jesus(big letters used to yell):"Where is my 150th quest Dad-damnit?! MMG:"Um, sorry, but we're having some issues with the coding and shading." Jesus:"I didn't come back from the dead for your excuses."
  11. Maybe they shouldn't have given it the same name as the old DD were. Maybe a simple update blog on their mian page would've sufficed?
  12. Yeah, but they could do that by opening up a new part of the city.
  13. Mod Mark says: Sorry Christians. We had to move your holiday back a week because we had issues with our one of our quests and we need to wait to release that one before we release the quest that goes with Easter. We apologize for the inconvenience.
  14. If they completed the whole update before it was even hinted at in the game, let alone in the BTS, they wouldn't have those deadlines looming over them. Don't say a thing until it's ready to roll. How hard is that?
  15. I'll be here still trying to figure out why these forums have topics from June of '06 on them and haven't been deleted. #-o
  16. I think by follower he means a follow-up to the mini game, and no I don't think you will. I hope not anyway. They produced a very good thing here(back when they produced content apparently) and it doesn't need to be improved or have a sequel to it. Don't sully the name with a half rate version of it and please for the love of god no multiplayer version of it.
  17. I'd love a columnist job, but I'm very much sarcastic and a little mean. Maybe if I could write a satirical column I would be interested.
  18. I'd imagine number 150 would be in equal to WGS or less they'd have made the WGS the 150th quest. And they had a problem with it, so they had to wait, I'm cool with that. Personally I think this could've been put on the forums, but whatever. Instead of a BTS every month, I'd be happier with a vague monthly progress update giving you general ideas of what's going on.
  19. I agree. In fact, my "Times" article centers around skepticism regarding the update rollout system. Predictably, I was met with an unprecedented wall of flame (how dare I question the new CEO that has yet to introduce any new content!). Hell of a thoughtful community we have here, isn't it? Look, I'm giving the guy the Obama treatment. I know he'll be crappy, but I gotta wait 6 months until I can really criticize him. You know, they both took over around the same time... OMG, the new head of Jagex is Obama! And he knows that Sailing is only for rich people and he hates rich people so he told everyone no Sailing in Runescape! That kinda sucks for all the people who wanted to sail... But anyway. Soul Wars: Same old stuff -.- Phoenix Cave: crap quest, decent daily activity :) Seer's Diary: Good stuff, no complaints \ Evil Tree: Pretty neutral to it :| And the rest of those glorified patch notes they're calling updates. :shame:
  20. They also said in the BTS for '09 they were going to be releasing approximately 4 updates per month. They haven't done this once. Jan and Feb both had 3, though Feb's was technically pushed back, but I refuse to acknowledge crappy spell and quest reordering to be an update. And March has had some bank thingy whatever. For the rest of '09, I will not scream "Fail!" at Jagex and their updates. I'll scream "Dull!"
  21. Yes well who says you need an axe to cut roots anyway? I mean you need to in game, but in real life any sort of slashing device would have an effect, even if not as good. There's lots of things those NPCs can do that we can't. Wield fishing poles, hold 2handed swords in one hand, and walk through gates guarded by museum guys by Varock. I hate walking around that thing...
  22. It's not all little kids that think they're smarter than Jagex. I'm 23 and I don't think I'm smarter, but I do think I'm clever enough to see through some of their rhetoric and line of crap they sometimes spew. Basically, I don't buy this bilge they're trying to feed us. I don't think they're honest people. Like for instance, I don't think the BTS was removed due to content restraints. They could easily make it company policy that everything is ready to roll before they even hint as to it's existence. I also think they removed it because they think we have short memories. If we can't go on a month by month basis, we're less likely to notice that they have significantly less update coming out. I mean, if they're doing all these improvements, there is no way they take more time to do than whole new content. So why are there fewer updates? If you got big chunks of content you're working on taking up your time, cool, say so. Don't need to tell us what, just say, "Hey we got some big things we're working on. Sorry for the slow update schedule right now." :wall:
