Bandos and Armadyl in Future Updates
Me_Hate_Libs replied to Dire_Wolf's topic in General Discussion
Am I the only one who thinks these spells could be easily introduced the same way the first 3 godspells were introduced? In the Mage Arena? Hell, do some quest, and make one of the rewards be the ability to learn the two new spells at the Mage Arena. "Gusts of Armadyl" and "Force of Bandos." Kolodion tells you about them, and you go up and use them on the other 3 mages in there. 100 spells and you can use them. And maybe since they're more uncoom spells, they need lvl 70 to cast them. Let the Armadyl spell lower someone's ranged. You know, winds blowing arrows off course or what have you. And maybe the Bandos spell is such force that it'll stun people for 5 seconds. It's not as complicated or unfeasable as you people think. -
How do I put this.. Um.. Duuuuhhhhhh? Back in Classic anything that wasn't land was just shown on the world map as water. We had long lines of straight-edged water and I'm not talking about the water that wears Xs to show that it's straight-edge either. Anything that isn't specifically identified as something on the map is just something that has yet to be added, coded, devloped, etc. It'll all be filled in eventually, or under Jagex goes bankrupt from all the bad loans they gave out to the Gowers to buy a house.

Defender Of Varrock - 29th September 2008
Me_Hate_Libs replied to @Dan3HitU's topic in General Discussion
One of the 7, at random, will tell you about someone marrying into the fitzharmon family and taking their name. This person is Diminthesis. Once you get that message, you can straight to him and complete the zombie route. -
Possible locations for the 1% safe area?
Me_Hate_Libs replied to Jimmyw3000's topic in General Discussion
Honestly, it's probably gonna be the interior of Lumbridge castle as well as inside all the banks. This might add up to a bit more than 1% of the space, but I doubt the 99 was meant so literal. Think it was just meant to say that an giganticly vast majority of the land would be PvP. -
I guess the simplest solution to this is to not die, which by what you said, you had every opportunity of doing. So you saved a monk to save you a few hundred gp and lost a mill. Try not to be so cheap.

Dragon items are said to be made on the plane of Frenskae, which is the plane where the Mahjarrat originated from. Past 2 years, all the Mahjarrat, both followers of Zaros and Zammy have been heading "north." That's pretty much what it means I bet.
-
This quest I'm fairly confident will be the the culmination of all the little bits and pieces we've gotten so far. I think it's the attempt the return Zaros back to this world from where he was banished to. The followers of Zaros are trying to bring him back, the followers of Zammy are trying to stop this from happening. As an empty Lord he could be the deceitful ones. The 8 brothers will be one side, either Zaros or Zammy. While we have a long list of Mahjarrat who supported Zammy, we also have a few that supported Zaros. Maybe not all have been introduced yet. Also, don't forget the Lord of the Dead down in the desert. The one who used to lead the Mahjarrat until Zaros ousted him. His name escapes me. He could play some part in it as well. And in the these matters, Zammy is always referred to as Zamorak the Pretender.

I was very lucky as I had all 70+ combat lvls when those quests came out, except for 60+ at it related to prayer. Don't worry about mage and rangef ro now, but focus on your melee. All 60s and 43 prayer will significatly reduce your stress level for completion.

So you think that when I can deposit my check on wednesday and send renew my membership, my account will be unlocked and they'll just subtract the days off the current subscription?
-
Okay, so I'd like a little advice here. I recently broke up with my longtime girlfriend. Long story, but wanted to mention that. We broke up, and 2 days later I renewed my RS subscription. Later that day I checked my bank and found out that my ex had drained our checking account down to about 3 dollars. My payment for Runescape was rejected but I had already gotten a few days of members. Because of this, they have diabled my account and I'm not in "negative credit." Does anyone have some advice on what I can do to get my account back or know if there's some option Jagex offers cause I couldn't find one other than contacting customer support, which I did already. Help? :x

Basically these rules of honor are just a way that people use the technique of using your own guilt against you. So if you feel no guilt over what you do, they have no power. The Wild is a no holds barred place where anything goes. Don't like eat? Go pick some cabbage at the Monastery.

I think it's just you. Over 5 hours I got just 3 randoms, 2 WOM giving me stuff, i.e. kebab and 20 gp and got a Genie.

the new "dragonfire shield"-the good, the bad, and the ugly
Me_Hate_Libs replied to myeman60's topic in General Discussion
Actually, only Black, Iron, Steels, KBD, and Wyrvens drop the bit to make the new shield. And the drop has been said to make dragon drops look common compared to it, it's extremely rare, in very high demand, and need the stats to back it up. Also, it only charges 50 breaths. And yes, it's expensive to have Oziach put together, but chances are if you have 75 defnse, you probably have the cash to get this done. As for being tough to use, not really. It's easy enough to charge up, and there you have an awesome shield. For the charges, use them or don't use them. This isn't exactly the most difficult choice to make. if you like the stats, then don't use them. It's not like the thing lets loose a random breath. As for item scamming, yeah I guess they do look alike. One is an orange shield, while the other is an orange shield with a MASSIVE dragon emblem on the front of it. Very easy to confuse I guess... :-k -
Are Jagex's updates ever really THAT bad?
Me_Hate_Libs replied to evilrodyle's topic in General Discussion
I guess no one here was around for what was possibly the worst update to RS ever... fatigue. -
I predicted that Hunter was going to be a bare skill with little to do and also very little benefit outside of the skill of itself. But even I couldn't predict that the maxed out thing to do in the skill was catch an imp... So, let's compare the skills here: Smith yourself a rune plate, fletch yourself a magic longbow, thieve an elf, craft death runes, ice barrage, incredibly strong weapon poisons, catch and cook a shark, ... ooh I have an imp in a box... best skill ever.

Tiles. Were gonna have use in Construction, but didn't. They have no use.

Trawler!(Is the update as good as they say?)

What (good) question would YOU ask a top 5 player?
Me_Hate_Libs replied to oddfaery2's topic in General Discussion
Inappropriate comment removed. - McGuff1 -
No, you never learn yourself how to do it. You always take it to the brother by the mine to get it skinned.

I started during Spring Break of '01, so should be about month or so away from 6 years.

statistical analyses of RuneScape features
Me_Hate_Libs replied to ixfd64's topic in General Discussion
I can understand you put a lot of thought into this, and while all of your theories and calculatable formulas are sound, the only conclusion one gets from this whole thing is that it's random. Maybe not random persay, but more like that everything is independant, has no affiliation with each other, and can't be projected. Which, sorry to say, makes it all the work you did seem a bit pointless. -
Individualistic would not be the correct word for you. You're probably thinking along the lines of selfish, but that isn't it either, nor is it really such a bad thing. It's more of a combination of words used to describe the overall quality of players that now play these games. A few good words would be bitter, petulant, ignorant, miserable, immature, impatient, distasteful, and many other words that could describe the average attitude that you'd observe in the game. Back in RSC, the people were simply happier. And the reason that is is because back then, you really had to love the game to play it. If you didn't like the game, you wouldn't play it. Even a minor interest in the game wasn't enough to keep you playing. Not as to say it was bad, but let's say it wasn't as appealing to such a wide spectrum of players as it it today. And as times goes by, the more people play, and the more people that play the more likely you are to find some spiled little brat out to ruin someone's day. Let's face it, we are more likely to remember someone who is overly nasty than someone who is overly courteous.

Yeah dude, that second pic starts in a completely random spot. How do I get there?

Hey most of the middle east still pretty much live in the 1400's right? And they have explosives right? So why not?
