That's strange. The UK wants to increase the drinking age, while the US is talking about lowering it. Anyway, as much as it sucks, the few ruin it for the many. It's the same reason we can't have gum in schools.

I'm assuming that lim goes for them for the reason I mentioned, for the sense of accomplishment. And it IS cheating because Bungie has said that it is cheating. That's why you got banned the first time. Honestly, there's no point in achievements you don't work for.

But I EARN those achievements. They don't do anything, so why go for them that way? All they have is the respect and accomplishment that goes with some of the harder ones, and if you cheat then they don't even have that.

And rightly so.

I'm not even worried about the drinker, if you want to ruin your life then you deserve it. I'm worried about the people besides themselves that are frequently hurt. And when I said 95%, I wasn't just talking about alcohol. I was saying that 95% are idiots.

Please explain. Because it seems for every person that DOES drink responsibly, there's 10 screaming idiots that are just an accident waiting to happen. An example is the fireworks outside right now. It's good that they're getting into the spirit of the holiday, honoring their great nation, but half of these people have no idea what they're doing, and I wouldnt be surprised if by the end of the day I hear screaming and find that someone lost a hand. P.S. I wonder if they know that you can't see fireworks during the day :wall:

What's there to discuss? These CoD threads can only work one way, for any game in the series. "This gun is overpowered." "This gun is underpowered." "This perk is..." And thats all.

I don't think AGE enters into it. It's just a matter of responsibility, and from what I've seen Americans are not responsible enough to drink. The few ruin it for the many, and there needs to be much harder coonsequences for breaking these laws.

The longer we wait the harder it will be to get rid of.

Knives and machinery are needed. Alcohol is not.

To kill someone with a knife you have to TRY to kill them. Most people would not do that. Then there's alcohol, which kills accidentally. You're not in control of yourself when it happens.

Small amounts of alcohol (ie, that in beer and wine, etc) has little to no long term detriments when consumed appropriately. This applies to a wide range of ages, including those below 21. I still feel that the age requirement should remain stationary. The key word there being appropriately. If everyone drank responsibly there wouldn't be an issue, but most people don't. I'm just repeating this over and over again but people still seem to think that everyone thinks rationally. Giving an idiot a beer is just slightly less deadly than giving Jeffery Dahmer a knife.

That all depends on where you live. Here in the US we tried to outlaw alcohol during the 1930's. It became way too hard to manage though. (alcoholics unite???)

I'd rather have a few thousand extra people alive, than give you the ability to drink a particular set of liquids. Let's face it, in the hands of a responsible person, alcohol is fine. Too bad 95% of the world's population is not responsible.

Thanks for making this thread Zierro, the other was going way off topic. Noone should be allowed because although some can handle it, too many can't. It's not worth it. Same goes for smoking.

And saying it should be illegal for everyone is probably just making people laugh at you so I don't know why you would say that... :| Unless maybe you were to back it up with that great logic of yours. Haha, talk about weak arguments. I want to be able to drink legally, is that better for you? It's not considered a "freedom" if you have to hide from the government in order to do it. The drinking age in England is 18. And here it's 21. Deal with it. It's there to keep idiots from getting themselves killed. Frankly it should be illegal for everyone, but it just wasn't practical.
