I just realized exactly how bad this game is. The only fun class is the spy. The spy is only useful in certain situations. So how do you play? And how is that MEH? It's not easy getting number 1 on one of your first rounds as a spy. Hell, that's my ONLY number 1 so far because IMO every class but spy just isn't fun. Edit: Gah, what am I saying? Of course it's not a bad game, but I just wish there was more creativity to how some of the classes play.

Weird, for me it was the exact opposite. I was terrified of Bioshock but wasn't even phased by Dead Space.

I don't understand what the hype was for this game. I rented it and played it for a week, played the campaign, and it was alright at best. The real purpose of this game is the multiplayer, so next I tried that. Horde is ALRIGHT, and the PvP modes are ALRIGHT. It's definitely not a bad game, but I just don't see why it's held as something great.

Ah, but how often, my friend, are they actually smart? If they did it like they were supposed to the Backburner would be useless, but since they don't. I get mah easy crits. Also, there's nothing more satisfying than randomly spraying a short burst of fire into a random obscure area and watching a burning spy land at your feet :lol:

I see what you're saying, I wasn't saying that the regular flamethrower isn't useful, I'm just saying that FOR THE THINGS THAT I USE IT FOR, I don't need the compression blast. I spy check, which can be done just the same with either one, and I ambush the cart from behind, which I do in a hit and run style. That is to say, I find a ledge, drop in when the cart passes, crit them from behind, and when I die I play spy for awhile. Though I will admit that back when Pyro was all I played for any situation, I would agree that it's more useful to have the normal flamethrower. Edit: Damn you Lenin, posting before I'm done typing. You're right, but I'm not too fast on switching even with quickswitch, so I prefer the Backburner for that. Though I might change that opinion once I try the Q method tomorrow.

And pyros who don't use the backburner have a more skillfull playstyle, that's all there is to it. Backburner pretty much is the epitome of W+M1 pyros. Don't even go into that, before we were debating it's usefulness in certain situations but now you're just acting like an RS pker. We're not talking about what takes the most skill to you, I'm saying that I rarely use the pyro except for the two things I listed, where the crit bonus is useful but the compression blast doesn't help.

No, the compression blast IS better. You didn't even read the post, did you? THE WAY I PLAY THE PYRO, THE CRIT BONUS IS USEFUL AND THE COMPRESSION BLAST IS NOT. You're missing my point. It's personal preference. I only use pyro for spy checking and ambushing cart pushers, so why would I equip the normal one? With the way that I use it, I just have more use for the backburner. You acn't say that anything is better than something else because it depends on how you play the class. Edit: Btw, what is the downside to the Ambassador? I've played with it for a bit and it seems to be just a way tougher version of the revolver. I think the reload may even be a little faster.

And why is that? Lets look at the pros and cons. Regular flamethrower. Pro - Has compression blast, useful for defending control points and clearing sticky bombs. Con - No crit bonus from behind. Backburner. Pro - Crit bonus from behind. Con - No compression blast, leaving you vulnerable to rockets and sticky bombs. Since I've never found a use for the compression blast, but have been successful with the backburner on multiple occasions, then I don't see any reason not to use it.

More like 100%, thats why I like spy-checking and ambushes from behind with the backburner. Sooo many crits. Anyway, just got the Ambassador in the funniest possible way. I was attacking on part 1 of Goldrush, and I had just taken out a teleporter entrance and backstabbed a Sniper in the escape. I decided to hide in the ditch outside of the tunnel to recharge my cloaking for a second go. I was charged, and decided to go for it. I disguised and uncloaked, just as a spy pyro uncloaked in front of me! He had chosen a spot an inch in front of me to recharge :lol: I backstabbed him, and got A Cut Above and Counter Espionage, which gave Spy Milestone 1 and The Ambassador. God I love this game :thumbsup:

You immediately convince me. Really, it's all fake. You shouldn't believe everything they put in the liner notes. In a perfect world, but I think you're wrong. His brother spoke, and it's been confirmed by various big name sources, as well as the hospital that took him. I will seriously be happy though if this turns out to be his comeback in disguise, but it just doesn't look like thats going to happen.
