  1. I would say yes, but I don't have any members credit and a lot of homework at the moment, as soon as I've gotten through this load I'll have to probably study for my exams, if I do manage to get back on though I'm more then happy to KBD or Zam :)
  2. I remember you way back from when GWDA first started up :P Good to see you've kept up scape because I thought you and a lot of others quit. Nice drops also :)
  3. Been keeping up with what I said, just TD's and the a bit of bandos. It's funny how when you pick up something you used to do a lot how good you can really be at it. TD's are exactly that for me, back when they were first released in November '08 I knew they would be good and by April '09 I had already made over 100m there. Back then that was heaps for me haha. So with the knowledge and experience that I now have I will just be living at TD's as much as I want to. I'll still do a bit of Corp and DK's if people ask me to, but asides from that I'll just be doing TD solos and duos. My main goal for this will be to rack up the charms for 99 summoning and along the way the cash for 99 herblore or very close to it. If I manage to pay off 99 herblore before summoning then I might even look into starting 99 construction sooner than I had expected. TD's are fun again, they're just as great cash as ever, and I haven't enjoyed anything in RS as much as killing TD's since I was last killing them everyday back this time last year. Let the good times roll, and with the the cash and charms that I want :)
  4. Then I shall teach you how to do it properly ;) Add meeeeee :)
  5. Wow thats quite the letter. On a serious note it makes me sad to think of what you have had to go through, I don't think thats fair on anyone. Just because you might like guys over girls doesn't make you any different. Not sure if its alright to laugh, but I was cracking up at the way some of the words were blocked. Sounds like you were being honest though, so no I don't think it was harsh.
  6. Another little benefit of all this current Corp and future Corp/TD's is that it will probably get me the charms for 99 summoning. Yes soon enough I will finally be achieving the goal I actually set this blog up for lmao. How sad that its taken me this long to even come close, oh well :P
  7. Alright so nothing interesting has happened in a few days, just a bit more Corp and such. Did a bandos mass today in hope of getting a hilt or chest/Tass, didn't see anything lol, except a D med :| After that I figured I might as well try a TD mass, that was okay although it was only 4 people, my god its an army! But yeah it was still fun. I thought that I hated TD's but I have to say I am really reconsidering that statement. I know that I have been dry there for a long time, a very long time, but that still isn't really a good reason to hate the guys that actually launched my bank in the first place. Soooooooo new plan :D For the next few days I will be Ls'ing Bandos and TD's in small teams, max of 4 man in the hope of getting something good, once I do, or once I give up (unlikely ;)) I will then attempt to solo TD's for a few sets of Claws. At this point I have solo'd 5 claws and Cs'ed 1. I always sell them, even if I didn't need anything but cash I sold them haha. But this time I'll keep the first pair I get. Anything after that I get to sell and breath more life into my bank :D Heres a little list of items that I wouldn't mind crossing off with a few claws drops: Ranger Boots Bandos Tassets Bandos Chestplate Armadyl Plateskirt Armadyl Chestplate Onyx Ring (i) Now thats actually a lot of claws, but I'll just get a few of those items. The best possible scenario at this point would be to LS some tassets, then I would solo 2-3 pairs of claws, 1 to keep 1 for ranger boots and Arma skirt and then the other for either chest pieces or general cash :D The onyx ring, well we can all hope can't we. I think they're only about 40m or so street at the moment so I could just sell some other stuff to make that up. Then again I might also just attempt to stick with Corp till I get a sigil, I really enjoy it but the lack of even seeing a sigil is starting to get to me lol. I haven't seen a 20m+ drop in well, I honestly can't remember, not since last year O.O Well thats it for me, see ya later guys :P
  8. NOW you made me interested. I want to see some even more amazing drops :D ! Guess you'll just have to keep up with this :P
  9. Haha thanks Ambler, but the drops haven;t even started yet ;)
  10. Just finished a zammy duo. Wasn't to bad although because I have basketball it was cut short. Was a pretty funny trip because Alex (Deadchild666) had to keep logging to help his mum, so we did a few non cs kills. Going in there with a higher lsp then him I figured I would probably get all the arrows, well he got the first. There was only 1 more arrows drop that trip which went to me, although it was one of those non cs kills, so no lsp wasted :D Alex died so we called it a trip, didn't bother going back because I have Bball. When I was helping him with kc I got these though, found it quite funny ^^ #32 Going to see Iron Man 2 after Bball so that should be good. When I get back I might hit up a Bandos LS mass to see if I can get anything, alright see ya later guys.
  11. Did a duo DK tribrid this morning with Lowc (finally :P). It was a good trip apart from all the crashers. Unfortunately not many good drops. Axe to Low The round after the axe I got a D stone and was a little sad, then the next round I got this off rex #1 Then the round after that I got this >.> In total I finished with about 350k more then Low, probably just due to my yak haha.
  12. Yeah Tempest Alex :D Was a good trip, and even though you got the axe I still made more (y)
  13. To use a familiar you want a 20+ man team.
  14. They do poison the target, but they have a different effect on the Core for some reason, head over to general guides to see the finished copy of this. :)
  15. You are right about the rings lala, although a lot more people have a berserker ring then either of the other two. And as far as the dragonhide goes, yes you can just use black dragonhide, but because it looks pretty boring I like to use the enchanted stuff, add a bit more colour to that dull room. I am also 100% confident that I can loot my stuff if I die, 85% sure if I get a random, thats not the maze :P Its a personal choice ;) For the finished version of this guide head over to the general guides section.
  16. Thanks haha. Need to get some new drops so that I actually have some awesome drops :P Today was fairly quiet. Was just Corping all afternoon, did that new quest to. Only memorable things about corping were missing a 6 man elixir and getting 20m def exp :)
  17. Unless I have overlooked any major errors I am 100% happy with this guide now. Enjoy :)
  18. Corping right now and it doesn't seem to be the case, I agree Aeil :P
  19. What exactly do you mean lol. The amount of damage you would do is halved?
  20. Thanks for the feedback Zaaps, I will edit the thing about the cape. But I stick with what I have said about rings. This guide is targeted at higher levelled players, and at high levels you do not want to be using a ring of life, with Corp more often then not you'll be dead before the ring works lol. There is also the option of taking no ring.
  21. Sounds good, although I'm in Aus and I'm, not sure where you guys would be. Its currently 7:50am on Thursday morning for me and I'd be able to DK from like 3:40pm.
  22. For anyone thats interested, heres the link. IF you're really that lazy :P http://forum.tip.it/topic/264562-tempests-corporeal-beast-guide/
  23. As I figured have not got on today to do anything, although for whatever reason I was inspired to write a Corp guide, check it out in the general guides forum. I'm actually really happy with how it turned out :)
  24. Tempests Corporeal Beast Guide As you should already know the Corporeal Beast is currently the strongest monster in the game. It is level 785, has 20,000 LP and an array of devastating attacks hitting up into the 600's. This is not something that you should overlook unless you are experienced and know what you're doing. Some of you may already be looking at those figures thinking, forget it we've got no hope, well obviously you're wrong ;) This guide will equip you with the knowledge on how to kill it, the rest is up to you and your team. I should also mention I have made this guide for higher levelled players, I apologise if you do not fall into this category, although I know there are plenty of other guides that target lower levels as well. This guide is going to assume that you have the following levels or higher: 99 Attack, Strength, Constitution, 90 Defence, 95 Prayer, 85 Herblore First things first, the set up. Gear Three of the four attacks that the Corporeal Beast has at its disposal are magic attacks, so you will want to emphasis your magic defence, although keep in mind that you don't want to be bringing something like Armadyl because death is almost always a possibility, and with no gravestone you probably don't want to be gambling with a couple of mil, especially when the armour isn't really going to help you. The Corp is very weak to stab attacks, so as far as weapons go the only thing you'll really want to use is a Zamorakian spear, and a leaf bladed sword more on this later on. Set up #1 This set up is probably the most popular as it has both good offensive and defensive bonuses. Keep in mind that the Berserker ring and Zamorak Dhide are not necessary, black dragonhide and no ring will work as well, this is just what I use. If you want to go one up on me then use either a Berserker ring (i) or Onyx ring (i). As you will see here we are using the Ardougne cape 3. This is a reward for finishing all the hard tasks in the Ardougne achievement diary. It is perfect for corping because it provides a good prayer bonus and a nice offensive stab bonus also. One of the other major benefits of this cape is that it offers unlimited teleports to an altar, which can be very useful when banking. Teleports you to here. Set up #2 Exactly the same as the first although this time we are using the Soul Wars cape. The prayer bonus this cape provides is enormous so you can use it if you feel you're going through your prayer to quickly. Set up #3 This set up is a little bit different again. Here we are using infinity boots to add more magic defence and then a fire cape to compensate for the loss in offensive bonuses from the dragon boots. This particular set up is requiring you to risk a lot more, over 5m and your fire cape should you die and be unsuccessful in looting. Set up #4 This is what I like to use when doing duo's although some people like to use it in the larger teams also. The Ardougne cape we have already discussed although now we are using Karil's, this is a change. Black dragonhide and its coloured variants may have higher melee defence then Karil's although they have significantly lower magic and range defence. In a duo you are most likely going to be protecting against melee (explained later) so you want to really beef up your magic defence, you can also swap in infinity boots here. Keep in mind though that Karil's costs more to die with, even if you get it back you still have to fix it. Thats the gear done, now for the inventories. Inventories Because the Corp can deal devastating amounts of damage you will be wanting your best food. At high level teams there are really only two good choices for food and potions. If you are lower in herblore or on a lower budget then this is the inventory I would recommend. You will notice two extreme sets and prayer potions coupled with rocktails. You may have also noticed the Leaf bladed sword and spirit shield. These are there in case you are fortunate enough to own an Elysian or Divine spirit shield. These are used when you are getting hammered by the Corp. You switch to your damage absorbing shield and your sword so that you keep dealing damage but take a smaller amount, this is only used when you are tanking the Corp though. If you do not have either of those spirit shields then swap out the sword and shield for either two more prayer potions, a few more rocktails or one of each, depending on what you think you need more of. You should also notice the Bandos godsword, it finally has a use! Its special lowers your opponents defence level, which at Corp can be very useful. It is fairly expensive to have just as a special weapon, and it will protect over most other things, so some alternatives are Darklight, a Bone dagger (p++) or if you really want the best possible special weapon, Statius's war hammer. Personally I just use the godsword. If you are at the elite level then this is the inventory I would recommend, it is what I use. If you know your prices then yes you are looking at nearly 400k in potions already, yes that is a lot but you have to spend money to make money. With Overloads you are able to just spam brew if you need to, or just sip in moderation. If you look add up how much LP there is in this inventory it would probably be 4-8x larger of an amount then the inventory with rocktails. The super restores are there for prayer restoration, and in case you do need to spam brew and end up on 53 attack and strength or lower, you can just have a sip for a faster restoration back to 125. It takes a while to figure out the perfect amount of brews to restores when using this inventory, but really it comes down to how good your team is and how unlucky you may be. Just swap out what you think you need more of, although you never want to be taking less then 4 restores, explained later on. As far as the special weapon, shield and sword go its the same as previously mentioned. Now that we're dressed and have had dinner its time for the movie. Battle There are two different ways to fight the Corp in a team, they are entrance killing and spawn killing. You can usually judge whether a team is good or not depending on which of these they chose. First I will explain entrance killing. This is done through having one person lure the Beast by entering the room then quickly leaving again, they will then go either north or south around the corner wait a few seconds then run towards the entrance and fall into a small alcove. What this does is it gets the Beast stuck in one of the two corners at the lip of the room. The rest of the team can then enter the room and surround the Corp without having it attack, obviously you have to be careful not to run under it as it can still trample you for well into the 400's. Once everyone is around the Corp except the person that lured you begin to attack, then the person that lured runs in. The reason I frown upon this method is that if you are being tanked you can just click on the entry and leave the room, effectively becoming the lurer while the rest of your team attacks, once the Beast stops targeting you you just re-enter and resume attacking. Be careful with this though as two things can go horribly wrong. This is the first step in luring it to the south, run in get its attention then run out to here. Then you will run into this little alcove, you can then see how the Beast is trapped. Alternatively you can lure it to the north, this is the first place you will go to. Then you will move into this little alcove. 1. Running to and from the entrance you are almost certainly going to run under the Beast so you are at risk of being Trampled, if you are exiting because your are on low health then this can be the finisher. 2. If you are out of the room when the beast dies then you will not see the drop in lootshare, that means potentially missing out on seeing or getting a sigil, yeah burn. If successful this is what a lure kill should be like, there are only 5 people in this picture, usually there will be more in a team. In the chat you will see "You are trampled under the Beasts massive legs, it hurts, I'd advise against doing it. The other method is spawn killing, I much prefer this as it is funner and more time efficient for killing the beast. What this entails is you will all rush the Beast on the first kill, then you will all run over to where it spawns and set up a formation. The benefits of this is that it increases the amount of kills per hour because you are not wasting time luring it and all that each kill. This is what most high level experienced teams do. Where you should stand in a 6 man team. One north, one south, two east and two west. This is what your mini map should look like if you are doing it correctly. Prayer Prayer is a big thing and a little thing at Corp. It is almost essential yet it doesn't really do that much. Now that we have curses most high level teams will require that you have at least level 95 for Turmoil. This is a very useful thing to have at Corp because it does increase the amount of damage you do by a fair bit. One thing you should know about prayer/curses at Corp is that the deflect/protect ones do not work 100%. They will only reduce the maximum hit and frequency of the attacks hitting, the Beast can still easily burn you even with them on. What I do with my curses is Turmoil 100% of the kill, deflect magic if he is targeting me or someone next to me, because of the splashes, or Soul split if he is facing away from me and I think I need the extra health. Sometimes he will go on a melee steak, attacking you with his head or claws over and over again, if this happens just throw on deflect melee and see if it helps. Sometimes he will just beast you for a kill or two, and sometimes you might not even sip a brew or use Soul split during the entire kill. Prayer is not essential here but it is incredibly helpful, and a requirement by all high level teams. The Dark Core The dark core is a little minion the Corp will fire off during the kill to leech health for it. Where does it get this health you may ask? The answer is from you. Nine times out of ten an experienced Corper will die from being heavily combo'd by the Corp and Core at the same time. The Core can hit up to 100 and attacks about 1.5x faster then Commander ZIlyana, to give you an idea of how fast it is. The most annoying thing about the Core is that it can fly around the room, well more or less quantum leapfrog. What it does is it will target a player, it will then jump from its current spot to where that player is standing, if your not an idiot you will run away and then it will jump to someone else. As you can imagine this gets incredibly tedious, so thankfully there is a way to counter it. This is done by using emerald bolts (e). Until now they have been more or less useless, but when it come to the Core they are amazingly handy. The special effect of these bolts is that the target can sometimes be poisoned, however with the core it is another matter. When the special effect activates on the Core it actually becomes stunned preventing it from moving or leeching health at the same rate. However it is not always 100% so you may have to fire a few shots. It would not be very economical having more then one person stun the Core, so you should assign a stunner to each team. A Core and Corp combo. The Core has 250 LP and very low defence, you may think this is a good thing, but in actual fact it sucks. The problem with this is that with any decent range level you are probably going to one hit it a lot which means that the Corp will just fire off another one. To fix this the best option is to use a mithril crossbow rather then rune. It hits lower and the bolts still have the same chance of using their special. This is how you know the Core is stunned. Thats more or less it, the Corporeal Beast can be quite a challenge to kill, but it offers some great rewards. For a full list of drops check out Tip Its bestiary log on the Beast. A Few Helpful Hints Try to keep your LP above 600 at all times Make sure that during a kill your entire team does not leave the room at once or the Beast will go back to full health When the Core has been stunned have at least one person standing next to it, it may still deal the occasional damage but this way it won't jump away as soon as it becomes un-stunned Don't take more then you're willing to lose, as death can happen pretty quickly The attack that looks like a star is the one that can hit well into the 600's if you do not have protection from magic on you be prepared for this Well I hope this helps few of you, if you spot something wrong or something you think I should change please do post it. Hope you enjoy Corping and good luck! :)
