  1. Hello out there people reading this. I have gone over the tip it skill guides and noticed that some skill guides do show and tell you where to train the skill, however some do not. It has come to my attention that fishing and cooking do not have training guides, so here is mine : Okay you have just gotten off tutorial island, go up to the lumbridge bank and deposite everything apart from your net, now head off to draynor right next to the willows, this is where we will start. FISHING Now before we get started, remember all the fish that you catch bank them! If you drop or sell them you will have nothing to level up your cooking later :shame: 1-5: Fish shrimps using your net, if you want to continue to fish shrimps until level 10 to fish herring, if not at 5 get out your fishing rod and bait and get reay to catch some sardines 5-10: If you started to catch Sardines at level 5 then continue them to level to, however if you stuck to shrimps until level 10 now is the time to switch. 10-20: From here until level 20 just keep fishing Sardines and Herrings, as it is random on which you get i suggest bringing 166 bait to get from exaclty level to to level 20, however you should have spares as this is calculated catching Sardines everytime. 20-40: Now off to barbarian village for soem fly fishing! When you achieve level 20 get some money, go to hicktons store and buy a Fly fishing rod as well as some feathers, you will need about 728 feathers at the minimum catching trouts, if not go kill chickens until you have enough. Also when you achieve level 25 you are able to catch Pike at the same area with bait, however as you are only jsut able to catch them it is still to slow to get a good amount of xp so stick to trout. When you get to level 30 you can catch salmon as well as trout, this will increase your fsihing exp speed a fair bit, from to 20-30 you need to catch 178 trout. 40-50: Congratulations, you have achieved 40 fishing you can now fish lobsters! Now if you want to head off to fish lobsters on Karamaja(Free Play) or Catherbry (members). However at level 40 fishing lobsters will be quite slow and tedious so if you want i would suggest to keep catching trout and slamon until level 45, try lobsters again, if it is still to slow keep catching trout/salmon until level 50. Also when you get level 46 fishing you may wish to fish bass, they give the same exp each as a swordfish but are easier to catch. 50-62: Now you are able to catch Swordfish. I do not suggest this but if you wish you can try to fish swordfish (same areas as lobster, also in piscartos fishing coloney *PFC*). When you are catching swordfish you also have a chance to catch tuna, this can be quite slow so i do not suggest it. from 50 onwards you should be able to fish lobsters at a reasnoble decent pace so you can give them a shot, if not then back to fly fishing. 62+: Okay Congratulations, you have achieved 62 fishing, now go and complete the swan song quest! Hopefully you are not neglecting your other skills, if you are then leveling fishing will be much harder because you won't be able to do swan song. For those of you that do not know what it looks like this is it, open a world map to find a route there You should know where and how to fish monkfish now, these are the best experience in fishing in the entire game, better then sharks and better then fishing trawler mini game. Now you just keep fishing monkfish, these are quite good to make money from as when they are cooked they sell for 300-400each in Pk worlds such as 18, edgevill bank. Now you decide wether you want to go for 99 or if you want to make a little more cash but a slower 99. The faster 99 is fishing monkfish then selling them cooked for 300-400each, or fish monkfish until level 76-82 and go on to fishing sharks which when cooked go for around 900each. If you do decide to go fish sharks get to at least level 80 otherwise they will be to slow and you will just get frustrated. Continue to fish and bank until 99 or until you reeach your desired level \ *Note* I have incorperated almost no members fish until level 62, i have doen this because before then all of the exp off the fish is really bad compared to the other stuff. If you are a free player gonig for 99 then continue to fly fish and drop your fish or bank them to cook later until level 80 or so. Otherwise jsut fly fish to 99, see what works best for you. By the way this may also be helpfull: One inventory of Shrimps -1 space for the net = 270xp One inventory of Sardines -2 spaces for the bait and rod =520xp One inventory of Herring -2 spaces for the Bait and rod = 780xp One inventory of trout -2 spots for feathers and rod =1300xp One inventory of Salmon -2 spots for feathers and rod =1820xp One inventory of Lobster -1 spot for the cage =2430xp One inventory of Swordfish -1 spot for harpoon, or for members using barb tailed harpoon* =2700xp, 2800xp* One inventory of Monkfish -1 spot for net =3240xp One inventory of Shark -1 spot for harpoon, or for members using barb tailed harpoon* =2970xp, 3080xp* Hope it helps........... Now on to cooking  =D> Okay now with all that fish banked up, must be lots now lets get ready for 99 cooking or your desired level. 1-20: We are now going to cook all of the, shrimp, sardine and herring you fished. 20-40 We now cook all of the trout and salmon you fished to get to level 40( if you used fly fishing later on try to remember how many fish it took to get level 40 :-k ) 40-62: This can be a bit boring but now we cook anything and everything you used to achieve level 62 fishing 62+: On to the monks, i suggest wearing cooking guantlents* whilst cooking monkfish. Now contniue to cook monkfish until level 94, or when you run out of monks move on to sharks. Now with 95 and your remander sharks, hop down to the rouges den and lets get 99 cooking! :P This could take a while but hey, if it means you get your first 99 or your first skill cape trimmed its definantly worth it  *Notes* Okay the cooking guide wasn't very detailed so i will clear that stuff up now. [1.] Guantlents [2.] Swan Song [3.] Where to cook [1.] Earlier when i was talking about Monkfish i said use the cooking Guantlents. No for those of you that do not know what they are ill tell you. They are one of three pairs of gloves you may chose to recieve upon completion of the FAMILY CREST quest. They make it less likly for you to burn food and with the right level impossible to burn some foods. (For Family crest guide folow this link Family crest quest guide) [2.] Now i did not mention above that you will need at least 62 cooking to do the swan song quest, soo hopefully every time you reach a marked out level you where cooking your fish up until level 62. (For Swan song quest guide folow this link Swan Song Quest guide) [3.] The best place to cook is in the rouges den right underneath the Burthrope pub, this is a great place to cook because there is a fire literaly 1 click away from a bank, this is a very popular palce to cook so you will have lots of people to talk to for sure. ( Click this for a map of the rouges den Rouges Den Map) I hope this has helped anyone that is wondering about cooknig and fishing from my past record i have probably missed out on a few things that you may think are vital to this guide, if so pelase PM me or post what you think needs to be there  I also would like to explain that because i am still fairly new to making threads on the tip it forums i still don't know how to add pictures, put lists in etc..... so if you know could you pelase post and tell me lol Also if you post a rating could you also give your opinion on if the Tip. It crew should add training areas to all of the other skill guides, a very big thanks for reading as this is longish And just cause he looks awsome i have to put this smily in, sorry if it bothers you lol :notalk:
  2. Well i would have put the wildy ice giants in however the fact that you will want to take your good stuff for more/ faster kills means that there is a bigger risk of being attacked by a pker looking for good stuff. Moss giants are an okay idea but they are definsntly way to overcrowded, even if you find a world with no one then it will probably have taken time that you could have used training on better enemies. When making this guide i did concider putting the moss giants and the wildy ice giants in but then decided that it really wasn't worth it. Feel free to train there but you will probably be getting less exp or risk dieing at a high rate. IF you have any other suggestions please post or pm me here thanks.
  3. thnx turnpiks do u think my timeing of 2 months is acurrate enough?
  4. Well about a month ago i finnaly decided that my favourite skill was attack, and if i liked it so much then why not get it to 99 to show my fondness of the skill by getting a nice cape. NO pics atm :( will add some soon So i started out for my goal with 72 attack, worst thing about it is that ever since i have had this goal i have been free play making it seem harder to level and in the time from then to now i have only gained three attack levels taking me to 75 =D> Now that i am at level 75 i have the choice of any single weapon in runescape (apart from some dragon items that need quests and god swords :P ) which is really why i have stopped training at 75 for now. I do have a whip and it has been very useful to train with to date and i plan to use it to get 99. I think i will just pc it until i get bored. When i get bored at pc i will train slayer up to around 60 giving me more attack experience after that i will do about three quests then back to pc. I will continue to pc attack until level 85 and from there i will go and finish a few more quests as well as make a bit of money. Once i have done around 5 more quests and have made a few mil i will go dragon slaying in the hope of dragon legs drop (iron and steel dragons) and possibly even a visage (heres hopping O:) ). Once i have dragon plate legs wether it be a drop from dragons or bought with money i will go back to pc and train attack until level 90. After this i will take a little break to admire my achievments and my entire runescape time debating wether i have spent time wisly or not sounds cheesy eh? :) Once i have done that i will make a little more money and possibly buy a dragon chain, or if i have not made that much money i will barrow until i get a peice of guthans. I dont care if i get a guthans skirt or warspear i will barrow until a get a peice of guthans, after that i will buy the rest of my guthans then attempt for a fire cape (not sure what the point of getting one is if im going for an attack cape  ) but who cares they look cool. Once i have either tried and failed 5 times or succeded i will go back to pc for 90 to 95 attack. Once at 95 i will start to throw small parties every time i am about to level eg. a small house party where i get 96 attack and one at 97 attack . I will do this until i have 97 attack then i will get from 97-98 attack at pc. After this i will try to take a break even though i probably won't want to lol but i will make sure i do. I may decide to quit rs for about 1 month during this time as getting 99 attack will require alot of playing hours. And finnaly after a month or so of not playing i will go to pc for the final time until i acheive 13 million experience or so leaving me around 10k xp to go until the big 99. With this last 10k exp i will get together a group of all my best friends and i will walk across the runescape map leveling attack. I will stop to kill things i have killed in the past, i will take boats to islands, i will take gnome gliders until i need only 100 experience to go. 100 experience will seem like so little after all this time so i will go back to my house with all my friends and fight one of my best friends for the last 100 exp, i will make a bid and post on youtube as well as taking a screen shot to post here, after acheiving the level ill get some money buy bsoem stuff and quit rs for a while jsut letting the best years of my life play out :D What i will wear: Weapon: Abyssal Whip Sheild: Crystal sheild/dragonfire sheild/Rune defender Ring: Warrior Boots: Rune/Dragon/Bandos Gloves: Barrows/Dragon/Cooking gauntlents Cape: Legends, near the end possibly fire cape Amulet: Amulet of Fury Body: Fighter torso/Black d'Hide body/Proselyte Hauberk Legs: Dragon plate legs/Black D'Hide chaps/Proselyte cuisse/Veracs skirt Helm: Helm of Neitzoit/Beserker/Robin Hood/Torags helm Levels to acheive before starting: Range: 70 currently 57 Prayer: 60 currently 51 Macgic: 70 currently 61 Defence: 75 currently 73 Strength: 75 currently 71 Hit points: 75 currently 73 Comeplete the following quests: Desert treasure Legends quest Swan song Estimated time: I'm thinking with the right playing hours i will need around a month and a half to 2 months Current attack level: 75/99 9% out of 100% List of supporters: Gets bigger every day lol Dragonrid397 (my bro) Robobot (rl mate) ilovemymum2 (absoulute legend) Alianse (great to train with)
  5. Back when i was a weaker player i had this great friend called "pickard19", for about a year i hadn't seen him unitl about a month ago when out of the blue he logged on. We had a five minute talk where he told me he had quit and he gave this account to his brother, i was just wondering if and1 has seen hid brother on thnx :D
  6. I have always been a fan of the "letters to the editor" tip it times segment because every time a new one is posted it always hits a very good topic, i have to say the last few ones have been my most favorite of all with the "Your final runescape goal". About three weeks ago i was randomly looking stuff up on tip it and decided, "you know what would really look cool?", the answer to which seemed so unacheivable, a dragon full helm/red h'ween mask, dragon chainbody, dragon plate legs, amulet of fury, rune boots, dragon square shield/dragon fire shield, abyssal whip, Rfd gloves (dragon) and an attack skill cape (t). Now if you take them time to imagine what this looks like you'll probably see what i did, and just by visulizing that one thing i made a huge mistake in runescape, i had a goal  But at the time i didn't really worry about it i just said "well for all of this ill need about 65m and to levels to 99", having only around 4.2m at the time i thought that it would take a heck of a long time, i made a plan to rune craft i think about 250k nature runea, thats right 250k of them. Do you know how much time that would take??? months upon months, did i care if it ment playing obsessivly until i had acheived it? no, did i care if my social life was destoryed? no, when it really struck me was when i was in maths one day and i got a question, a simple question i had done a thousand times, and i coulden't get the answer i was stuck. It was clear to me then that playnig ruenscape so much was effecting my real life so badly that at this rate it would consume my life. So i quit for about a month, and in that month i had such a great time in life not having to worry about getting my goal or getting ranked in every skill or being better then someone else. Today i went on to try something out, i tried to randomly enter the clan chat of runescape's highest ranked players, and guess what not all of them had clan chats. I think it is possible that they might just not have played since the update which would be good for them after acheiving all of those 99's, or is it possible that once they had no more goals they just quit, i doubt i will ever know and honestly i don't care. Thanks for such a great letter this week i hope the next one is just as good. :D
  7. Okay all thats left is for me to get members credit, take some piccys of Invens and set ups and type up the strategies, oh joy.
  8. There are a lot of guides out there, some of which I believe are quite good. The only problem is that there does not seem to be a very extensive guide that incorporates all of the main monsters that people wish to hunt. My goal is to put together a guide that will include the most effective and efficient ways to PVM that I have found. This guide will incorporate all GWD bosses, Tormented Demons, Corporeal Beast and Nex. Just a quick note this guide will assume that you have the basic knowledge of what drops you are after and how to get to the monsters, this is more about the set ups and strategies that I believe are the best to use. Tempests Corporeal Beast Guide As you should already know the Corporeal Beast is currently the strongest monster in the game. It is level 785, has 20,000 LP and an array of devastating attacks hitting up into the 600's. This is not something that you should overlook unless you are experienced and know what you're doing. Some of you may already be looking at those figures thinking, forget it we've got no hope, well obviously you're wrong ;) This guide will equip you with the knowledge on how to kill it, the rest is up to you and your team. I should also mention I have made this guide for higher levelled players, I apologise if you do not fall into this category, although I know there are plenty of other guides that target lower levels as well. This guide is going to assume that you have the following levels or higher: 99 Attack, Strength, Constitution, 90 Defence, 95 Prayer, 85 Herblore First things first, the set up. Gear Three of the four attacks that the Corporeal Beast has at its disposal are magic attacks, so you will want to emphasis your magic defence, although keep in mind that you don't want to be bringing something like Armadyl because death is almost always a possibility, and with no gravestone you probably don't want to be gambling with a couple of mil, especially when the armour isn't really going to help you. The Corp is very weak to stab attacks, so as far as weapons go the only thing you'll really want to use is a Zamorakian spear, and a leaf bladed sword more on this later on. Set up #1 This set up is probably the most popular as it has both good offensive and defensive bonuses. Keep in mind that the Berserker ring and Zamorak Dhide are not necessary, black dragonhide and no ring will work as well, this is just what I use. If you want to go one up on me then use either a Berserker ring (i) or Onyx ring (i). As you will see here we are using the Ardougne cape 3. This is a reward for finishing all the hard tasks in the Ardougne achievement diary. It is perfect for corping because it provides a good prayer bonus and a nice offensive stab bonus also. One of the other major benefits of this cape is that it offers unlimited teleports to an altar, which can be very useful when banking. Teleports you to here. Set up #2 Exactly the same as the first although this time we are using the Soul Wars cape. The prayer bonus this cape provides is enormous so you can use it if you feel you're going through your prayer to quickly. Set up #3 This set up is a little bit different again. Here we are using infinity boots to add more magic defence and then a fire cape to compensate for the loss in offensive bonuses from the dragon boots. This particular set up is requiring you to risk a lot more, over 5m and your fire cape should you die and be unsuccessful in looting. Set up #4 This is what I like to use when doing duo's although some people like to use it in the larger teams also. The Ardougne cape we have already discussed although now we are using Karil's, this is a change. Black dragonhide and its coloured variants may have higher melee defence then Karil's although they have significantly lower magic and range defence. In a duo you are most likely going to be protecting against melee (explained later) so you want to really beef up your magic defence, you can also swap in infinity boots here. Keep in mind though that Karil's costs more to die with, even if you get it back you still have to fix it. Thats the gear done, now for the inventories. Inventories Because the Corp can deal devastating amounts of damage you will be wanting your best food. At high level teams there are really only two good choices for food and potions. If you are lower in herblore or on a lower budget then this is the inventory I would recommend. You will notice two extreme sets and prayer potions coupled with rocktails. You may have also noticed the Leaf bladed sword and spirit shield. These are there in case you are fortunate enough to own an Elysian or Divine spirit shield. These are used when you are getting hammered by the Corp. You switch to your damage absorbing shield and your sword so that you keep dealing damage but take a smaller amount, this is only used when you are tanking the Corp though. If you do not have either of those spirit shields then swap out the sword and shield for either two more prayer potions, a few more rocktails or one of each, depending on what you think you need more of. You should also notice the Bandos godsword, it finally has a use! Its special lowers your opponents defence level, which at Corp can be very useful. It is fairly expensive to have just as a special weapon, and it will protect over most other things, so some alternatives are Darklight, a Bone dagger (p++) or if you really want the best possible special weapon, Statius's war hammer. Personally I just use the godsword. If you are at the elite level then this is the inventory I would recommend, it is what I use. If you know your prices then yes you are looking at nearly 400k in potions already, yes that is a lot but you have to spend money to make money. With Overloads you are able to just spam brew if you need to, or just sip in moderation. If you look add up how much LP there is in this inventory it would probably be 4-8x larger of an amount then the inventory with rocktails. The super restores are there for prayer restoration, and in case you do need to spam brew and end up on 53 attack and strength or lower, you can just have a sip for a faster restoration back to 125. It takes a while to figure out the perfect amount of brews to restores when using this inventory, but really it comes down to how good your team is and how unlucky you may be. Just swap out what you think you need more of, although you never want to be taking less then 4 restores, explained later on. As far as the special weapon, shield and sword go its the same as previously mentioned. Now that we're dressed and have had dinner its time for the movie. Battle There are two different ways to fight the Corp in a team, they are entrance killing and spawn killing. You can usually judge whether a team is good or not depending on which of these they chose. First I will explain entrance killing. This is done through having one person lure the Beast by entering the room then quickly leaving again, they will then go either north or south around the corner wait a few seconds then run towards the entrance and fall into a small alcove. What this does is it gets the Beast stuck in one of the two corners at the lip of the room. The rest of the team can then enter the room and surround the Corp without having it attack, obviously you have to be careful not to run under it as it can still trample you for well into the 400's. Once everyone is around the Corp except the person that lured you begin to attack, then the person that lured runs in. The reason I frown upon this method is that if you are being tanked you can just click on the entry and leave the room, effectively becoming the lurer while the rest of your team attacks, once the Beast stops targeting you you just re-enter and resume attacking. Be careful with this though as two things can go horribly wrong. This is the first step in luring it to the south, run in get its attention then run out to here. Then you will run into this little alcove, you can then see how the Beast is trapped. Alternatively you can lure it to the north, this is the first place you will go to. Then you will move into this little alcove. 1. Running to and from the entrance you are almost certainly going to run under the Beast so you are at risk of being Trampled, if you are exiting because your are on low health then this can be the finisher. 2. If you are out of the room when the beast dies then you will not see the drop in lootshare, that means potentially missing out on seeing or getting a sigil, yeah burn. If successful this is what a lure kill should be like, there are only 5 people in this picture, usually there will be more in a team. In the chat you will see "You are trampled under the Beasts massive legs, it hurts, I'd advise against doing it. The other method is spawn killing, I much prefer this as it is funner and more time efficient for killing the beast. What this entails is you will all rush the Beast on the first kill, then you will all run over to where it spawns and set up a formation. The benefits of this is that it increases the amount of kills per hour because you are not wasting time luring it and all that each kill. This is what most high level experienced teams do. Where you should stand in a 6 man team. One north, one south, two east and two west. This is what your mini map should look like if you are doing it correctly. Prayer Prayer is a big thing and a little thing at Corp. It is almost essential yet it doesn't really do that much. Now that we have curses most high level teams will require that you have at least level 95 for Turmoil. This is a very useful thing to have at Corp because it does increase the amount of damage you do by a fair bit. One thing you should know about prayer/curses at Corp is that the deflect/protect ones do not work 100%. They will only reduce the maximum hit and frequency of the attacks hitting, the Beast can still easily burn you even with them on. What I do with my curses is Turmoil 100% of the kill, deflect magic if he is targeting me or someone next to me, because of the splashes, or Soul split if he is facing away from me and I think I need the extra health. Sometimes he will go on a melee steak, attacking you with his head or claws over and over again, if this happens just throw on deflect melee and see if it helps. Sometimes he will just beast you for a kill or two, and sometimes you might not even sip a brew or use Soul split during the entire kill. Prayer is not essential here but it is incredibly helpful, and a requirement by all high level teams. The Dark Core The dark core is a little minion the Corp will fire off during the kill to leech health for it. Where does it get this health you may ask? The answer is from you. Nine times out of ten an experienced Corper will die from being heavily combo'd by the Corp and Core at the same time. The Core can hit up to 100 and attacks about 1.5x faster then Commander ZIlyana, to give you an idea of how fast it is. The most annoying thing about the Core is that it can fly around the room, well more or less quantum leapfrog. What it does is it will target a player, it will then jump from its current spot to where that player is standing, if your not an idiot you will run away and then it will jump to someone else. As you can imagine this gets incredibly tedious, so thankfully there is a way to counter it. This is done by using emerald bolts (e). Until now they have been more or less useless, but when it come to the Core they are amazingly handy. The special effect of these bolts is that the target can sometimes be poisoned, however with the core it is another matter. When the special effect activates on the Core it actually becomes stunned preventing it from moving or leeching health at the same rate. However it is not always 100% so you may have to fire a few shots. It would not be very economical having more then one person stun the Core, so you should assign a stunner to each team. A Core and Corp combo. The Core has 250 LP and very low defence, you may think this is a good thing, but in actual fact it sucks. The problem with this is that with any decent range level you are probably going to one hit it a lot which means that the Corp will just fire off another one. To fix this the best option is to use a mithril crossbow rather then rune. It hits lower and the bolts still have the same chance of using their special. This is how you know the Core is stunned. Thats more or less it, the Corporeal Beast can be quite a challenge to kill, but it offers some great rewards. For a full list of drops check out Tip Its bestiary log on the Beast. A Few Helpful Hints Try to keep your LP above 600 at all times Make sure that during a kill your entire team does not leave the room at once or the Beast will go back to full health When the Core has been stunned have at least one person standing next to it, it may still deal the occasional damage but this way it won't jump away as soon as it becomes un-stunned Don't take more then you're willing to lose, as death can happen pretty quickly The attack that looks like a star is the one that can hit well into the 600's if you do not have protection from magic on you be prepared for this Well I hope this helps few of you, if you spot something wrong or something you think I should change please do post it. Hope you enjoy Corping and good luck! :)
  9. hmmmm 250m nice amount of money :P. I have to say id spend about 50m of it geting some skills to level 99 e.g fletching fm etc... then buy a yellow phat and sell it in a few years when its worth more, nice little profite :D
