It's an honor's program, and a special college for smart computer people. But, yes, it does. From personal experience, I can tell you that the best GPAs in my class all regularly read the news, and keep up on that kind of stuff.

The only thing is that I don't keep up with any of those. What exactly are you applying for? The honors program at a college.

Currently writing my application for an honor's program at College. There are questions like "How well do you keep up with politics. List any ways you get updates." I'm just like, I don't really. @Halo: Short answer, no. Long answer: I took third in the tournament. Out of five infos. There were no entries at this tournament. It was ridiculous. And, well a third's an up, so I guess I should be happy, but really all it means to me is that I was worse than half the infos. The two that beat me weren't amazing either. One was still on notecard, while the other asked the judge if they were ready all three rounds. I could forgive that for both of them, but my posters were also a ton better than theirs. In terms of actual speaking, we were probably tied I suppose, but I personally feel that mine was the best written out of them. Actually, at this point, I think I'm done with info. I'm not dropping it, because we don't have any other infos on the team, but I'm going to find another event to focus on so I can actually win sometimes. >.<
