And Halo 3 sold something like 8million + copies, why focus on a different franchise when the one they already have is responsible for the 2 best selling games on the Xbox and 360.

I don't understand why people think Halo should give up. Halo 3 is still the best selling game on 360 and is still the most played game on Xbox Live (Well it was last week). The franchise is far from dead.
