It's too late to earn any serious cash imo. I managed to fish 40M out of the rares market earlier today.- Preparation for next week
Buy the closest rare you can. They took a big crash today.- Sara brews and super restores question
Alright. :) I've been F2P for a long time.. just planning what to do when I get members. One of it is finishing the fight caves haha. :D Thanks.- 200M in all Skills
Browser zoom or ingame zoom? How do I do that? And that cc is 'Rare Quark', it's where people gather and update each other about rares prices. It's friendly, but only people with ranks are allowed of speech, to avoid random people coming in and giving false prices for manipulation purposes. They also do Nex gears. Questions can be asked via ranks.- Anti-bot idea that could actually work
Or to fix this 'choking for fun' issue. Make it so that you have to 'buy' these 'chokes'. For say, 100k per. And if the bot fails to do the test, you're rewarded with 100K cash. If not, you waste the cash.- 200M in all Skills
In the video your inventory overlaps the chatbox. And your resolution of the game is very low. Here is what happens when I try to do it with mine, As you can see the inventory and tabs do not overlap with the chatbox.- 200M in all Skills
How do you get your screen that small without having to scroll to view?- Sara brews and super restores question
How many doses of Saradomin Brew's can a Super Restore recover? If I take 3 doses of brews, and 1 dose of super restores, will it recover my stats to max?- 2011 Golden Joystick Awards
This is.. depressing. Nothing unexpected though.- Adventuring the 'unplayable' F2P
[hide=Chapter 4: Survival skills] As I approached the general store to sell off the remaining logs I had in my bag pack for some pocket change, I noticed there was a store selling fish nearby! I went in, and see what sort of food the store was selling. Unfortunately, the store was empty, and they had no stock. But I told Hank I really needed food, and he was willing to sell me a crayfish cage and a fishing net for a whooping 18 coins! Honestly, I hesitated awhile, but after a slight negotiation with Hank, I managed to get both of them for only 15 coins! I dashed out of the shop, eager to test out the new items I had bought, then realization struck me. "Where the hell am I going to start fishing?" I recall that the swamp I was in earlier was relatively close to an ocean, but crayfish are freshwater crustaceans! I can't find them at the sea! So I went back to Hank, who saw it through my eyes that I had no idea where to start fishing. Before I could open my mouth, he told me that there was a nearby pond just north-west of where he lives, and told me that I can start fishing crayfish there. So I left the house, and followed his instructions and directions to the pond. And he was right, it was relatively near. It looked great aswell. WORK IN PROGRESS [/hide] EDIT: I'm tired now. Exams just finished. Got on abit just to let you guys know I'm still updating this blog. I have a week of holidays ahead of me starting tomorrow. Hopefully I can get a few chapters in before it ends. :) My exams resume after the holidays.- Adventuring the 'unplayable' F2P
Chapter 3 is updated. :D Here's for those who are lazy. Chapter 4 is in progress!- Adventuring the 'unplayable' F2P
Those men have not died in vain! For their deaths have served their purpose as stepping stones on my oncoming quest to be the ultimate adenturer! they respawn anyway EDIT: Since you guys mentioned it.. Xenia does look like a guy in drags. O_o- Adventuring the 'unplayable' F2P
Chapter 3 isn't quite done yet. I have loads of photos on my computer, which I'm sadly not allowed to use right now. I'll make a post when I update it. Thanks for all the feedback so far. :D @Armorare: I really hope that doesn't happen. :P Cause as a real scaper, you would see less entertainment and more grinding, which I hope I don't give in this blog.- Adventuring the 'unplayable' F2P
Haha. :) that will be my reader's job to find out. I might be hosting like 'Whoever finds me, and trades be exactly 3 bones will be rewarded with a reward of 10M." in the future, once I've done some quests and gaine some stats.- Adventuring the 'unplayable' F2P
Shh! Noone is supposed to know that! :P And thanks for pointing that out. I'm still collecting photos and whatnot.- Adventuring the 'unplayable' F2P
CHAPTER 3 [hide=Chapter 3: Things will get more serious from now on..] After escorting the man to safety the day before, Xenia had proposed that she had a quest for me. A lady named Ilona was kidnapped, and was about to be taken in for a sacrifice by 'The Blood Pact'. The word sacrifice shocked me. Challenged, I took on the quest, and headed down the catacombs, preparing for the imminent battle, My training has proven itself when I blaze through the catacombs, downing Kayle with my sword, Caitlin with my sharpshooting skills. And then I finished off Reese with a swing of my scimitar. They fell one-by-one under my wrath, with no escape in sight. I was feeling nice, so I let all of them go after that. :D So with ease, I managed to rescue Ilona and bring her back to Xenia, while also unlocking the pathway to the catacomb training grounds! I would go in the future of my adventures, but for now, I have a greater place to be at. Then Xenia decided to make my day with this comment, "And indeed I will!" So here are my stats as of chapter 3, (with a brand new sword to go with!) I realized that I started with a total level of 35, and now I'm at 50. It may seem alot, but it's very slow progress. So instead of messing around, I decided to pace up a little with my adventures. I ran to the nearby Axe Shop owned by Bob. I had a stack of coins in my inventory, but he was willing to give me a pickaxe and a hatchet, all for free! I made my way a little south, where I spotted some trees earlier. :D I started chopping nearby trees. But the ambience of the swamp made it hard to. (There were even gravestones nearby!) Call me crazy, but I think I heard some voices :ohnoes: Swinging my hatchet at the trees more furiously than ever, I quickly gained a few logs, light them, and ran away as quick as someone with 99 agility! And found a much better place to woodchop. :D So after 15 minutes or so, my inventory was filled with logs. I carried the logs around the city, looking for the closest general store to sell my logs to. You see, I am really poor, and I needed the money to buy iron. So as I was walking around for the store, I came between a Lumbridge guard and a goblin! Apparently the goblins have been harassing the town citizens, and these guards are working to stop the goblins from disrupting the peace of the city. The guard had told me to help kill the goblins. So I reached for my bag pack, took out my tinderbox and logs, and started lighting fires all over the place! I was hoping I could burn some goblins, or destroying their home, so that they seek refuge somewhere else. Unfortunately, my fires did little, and the goblins didn't burn under them. They must be immune to fire. Deciding that me being there was little of purpose, I left the area, lighting my final log, at the same time achieving this [/hide]- Adventuring the 'unplayable' F2P
That's a nice guess, but no. :P But I should create a new account and snag the name first, haha.- Adventuring the 'unplayable' F2P
Is 'Dat 40 Def' your IGN? I'll add you haha. I don't plan on releasing my ingame name.. yet. ;) Planning something up my sleeves. Chapter 3 is currently in progress!- Adventuring the 'unplayable' F2P
Thanks for all the compliments, guys! Let me know what you want to see in my future chapters. :) Chapter 2 isn't complete yet. I'm planning on raising my skills uniformly in levels of 10. That way I have a balanced storyline for the blog aswell as a character build for quests etc. Also I'll be busy until the weekend, so don't expect anything much until then. :) @Powerfrog: Go ahead and make your own! It'll be nice to see more fun-oriented guides instead of XP races, level up pics and grinding blogs.- Adventuring the 'unplayable' F2P
[hide=Chapter 2: My first challenge!] I wandered a little south, closer to the town, and was already faced with my first challenge! "Help, somebody! This goblin is attacking me!" Now, I could've just left him to be, saving my precious time for something elsewhere. But an adventurer never gives up a challenge! Being the good samaritan I am, I decided to rescue the helpless man in dismay. 'But my combat stats are laughable at, I'll never be able to vanquish a foe like that!' To work up the strength to fight the foe, I've started training on the citizens around me. Men after men had fallen to my wrath, And then I died, After a long lecture about how to death system works by Death himself, he let me respawn in Lumbridge with all my items with me. (Thank god, I would never know what to explain to my friend Bigcon23) After running back to where I died, I continued my training on nearby men, being weary of my health this time, and running away when I'm about to die, or eating food as appropriate. After 10 minutes later, I felt like a war-machine, couraged and full of bravery. Ready to take on anything that comes in my way. Close enough. And 5 seconds later into the scene, the goblin died. Later after the fight, I had found that the man had been injured by the goblin. Following his instructions, I escorted him to Xenia, who is said to be a veteran adventurer that might be able to help him. Realizing that a veteran adventurer might be able to provide helpful advice to a beginner like me, I took the task and escorted him further south of the down, past the cemeteries. Thanks for the positive comment, and indeed I have! However I find her's more interesting, as mine is mainly compiling pictures and sharing my ingame experience through them, but I hope it doesn't bore. :) I still do not know what staff that is. And how did you know I changed it?- Adventuring the 'unplayable' F2P
Thank you. :D I'm planning on stop goofing around with the story-telling and actually start some progress the next day, while keeping my blog enjoyable to read.- Adventuring the 'unplayable' F2P
[hide=Chapter 1: Starting out] I followed Sir Vyvin's instructions with the tutorial. :D And managed to make it out alive! Most of you level 138's wouldn't even dare face a dragon this big.. But me and Sir Vyvin managed to light the pillars, and collapse the ceiling onto it! After completing the tutorial, I appeared somewhere off north of Lumbridge. Where I was greeted with plenty of other bots level 3's, who had just completed their tutorial aswell. Then, there was one who's magical skills shone with power (literally!) I repeatedly asked them for the name of their staff, but none of them seemed responsive. :( After a minute of asking to no avail, I set off and wander around the city, curious what the city has to offer. Taking a few steps off the city, an adventurer named Bigcon23 traded me. I was curious, 'What could he possible want from a level 3'? Maybe he wants to look for signs of a bot, maybe he's just looking for a newbie to play around with. Or worse, scam me! But then realizing I had no money, I accepted his trade. To my surprise, this was what he was willing to give me! Feeling grateful for meeting someone like him, I've added him to my friends list, and have made my first friend on RuneScape! Carried away by happiness, I put on my bronze armour. Being a noob, feeling as fashionable as ever. But I felt something was missing, so I talked to this chick over here, and she gave me a cape! I couldn't add her to my friends list though. So after that I departed. I wandered further off into the city, off to complete quests and accomplish feats noone has ever done before. Suddenly F2P doesn't seem like such a terrible place anymore. [/hide]- Adventuring the 'unplayable' F2P
Hi, I'm Plasma. None of you know me. Maybe some do, most may not. I have been playing this game for years now, and I can proudly say that I can classify myself as a veteran. Early this year, free trade brought many benefits to the game, but with the increasing epidemic of bots increasing, many have claimed that the game is no longer fun to play for. Some even claim that the F2P-world of the game is unplayable. I've been digging around lately, and I recently found this: 'But, but. Plasma, what the hell is this?!' This was an account I've made roughly 5-6 years ago. :) But weeks after it's creation, I got membership on my main account, thus leaving this account to collect dust on tutorial island. When the Tutorial Island was removed a few years back, I logged on it every once in awhile to see if there were any updates to it. I explored the island, searching every corner for interesting stuff. Back in 2009, I found a trapdoor near the corner of the island. :D (don't mind the edited text, was made for memories.) However, the tutorial island has been removed recently, and I found myself logging in onto the new tutorial. Realizing that there was no point leaving the account to rust again, I decided to temporarily retired from my main, and start playing on this dude. :D Spending a few hours a day, I plan to - blog about my everyday adventures and experiences - let others know about my experience in the F2P realm - get my stats up What you will not see in this blog - "I trained firemaking today and got 92-95 by firemaking x logs for x amount of time." - "I killed 231 frost dragons today, yielding 231 bones and x experience." - "I am getting 99 herblore by next week, playing 5 hours a day doing x potions" Well, I hope that's enough for an introduction. I hope it isn't boring any of you readers already. Clicking on the login button, entering the F2P world. The adventure begins. - The F2P General Discussion Thread
