I'm sorry for the typo, Lenticular. I think that generally people who are more intelligent would be more prone to be an athiest, as they take the initiative to think that what they had been raised to beleive is wrong, and think more about it. I do agree though that your upbringing has a huge impact on your views.

The Bible and intelligent design are different. As i hope you can see, The Bible is a book.

There could be a creator/orchestrator/or whatever. Frankly, i don't really give, but most religons have survived now because they are more vague then the pagan ones. Everyone really knows most religons are bull, just people look to it for comfort. And for whoever said that science and religon on different, wtf are you on. I.E God of Lightning: Thor *according to Norse Mythology* We disproved a religon by scientifical means. If we had no science, we could beleive in crazy religons or whatever we wished. We wouldn't even have this debate, as it would become more pointless. |gor

It's a guideline. I don't care for religons; as they help people (generally!) act better, but when people fight over which religon is better, well its BS. Anyhoo, i think the only reason why Christianity (+ the bible) are still followed is because Chirtistanity, and God, are too vague to disprove. It was easy to disprove some older relgions, like (uh, Norsism) or w/e: as Thor - God of thunder - Made thunder by throwing down his hammer. Which isn't true, obviously.
