  1. They could supposedly hear him inside their heads. He's supposedly metaphorically walking.
  2. This is witchcraft I tell you, WITCHCRAFT! BURN THE WITCH. BUUUHHHHRRRRNNNNNH HER!
  3. I can't think of anything recently, however, these were from a while ago... - Some man came up to me in the street and said "I haven't told you I'm really Batman, have I?" then walked off - While at Ju-Jitsu, an old woman came in with Ice Skates on, walked across the mats, then walked out O_o
  4. Mine, and all the other regiments of our town marched round a war memorial, listened the trumpet, heard some extracts from the bible and sung hymns in remembrance of all those that died in the three wars. It was quite touching really, an old man in his old beret came along along in his wheelchair. He probably fought in the war, and lost some great friends in doing so. He started crying at the sound of the trumpet.
  5. Not so much of a pick up line, but meh. You:I'm psycic Her:Orly? You:Yeah. I bet I touch your breasts without touching you. Her:Yeah right. Try it You:(Winces hard, then touches her breasts normally) I loose, you win. ALSO Hey, how they hanging? Still small and perky I see...

  7. As many people have already said, if there is no evidence to prove nor disprove an idea, there's no point beleiving it. "I think therefore I am" has been used too. It basically means "Thinking about your existence is proof of your existence." How could this be a dream? Dreams flow along swiftly - you have no memory in a dream and it's merely a sequence of subconcious thoughts. Life isn't. Even if it is, you'd need to be one hell of a great thinker to create an infinate universe with physical laws, undiscovered planet, eons of history and billions of humans all with individual personality traits. I've had some people ask similar questions such as: "I think the world is just a massive version of 'The Sims' video games" "What if you're all robots, and I'm the only human?" "Everything is a figment of my imagination" "My life is just a movie being directed by some sick [bleep]. You're just an actor." The list goes on...
  8. Newton stated in one of his laws (think it was his fifth, I'm not sure) that perpetual motion does not, and cannot exist. Nice try ;)
  9. Presidential elections? Wha...? They kept that quiet, didn't they?
  10. Okay... Some of you guys are honestly scaring me. EVer since I tried to chew a coin at Seven, and my mum explained to me it had everbody's 'germs' on, I've not eat anything inediable...
  11. How can I watch the elections? I live in England, where it's broadcating on BBC1 from 11:30 till 6:00. I can't stay up all night because of school, but I can probably get up at 5:00. I don't want anyone to spoil it for me, so I have to watch it before school. Will it be broadcasted online? Can someone point me in the right direction?
  12. I'm a newbie here, so please explain :| : When people are 'Jumping on the Bandwagon' are they actually eating glass :o ? Also (I know this is going off topic, but meh..) , why do so many people have the 'Hammer and the Sickle' in their Avatars/Signatures? It's not like we're Pro-Stalin...
  13. Zierro already dismissed my 'Time is like god' argument. See page 3.
  14. Yes. I suppose it is like that. You couldn't teleport if time didn't exist because it couldn't of happened.
  15. You must admit, it did cure his boredom though. just thinking about the possible consiquences is something to do :twss:
  16. Lol, 80% of the books you've mentioned are my favourites :P Brave New World - Aldus Huxley is banned in a few places. It's similar to '1984', but more with more sci-fi in. Anti-Religious books are also banned in some third worlds countries (E.g 'The God Delusion' by Richard Dawkins.)
  17. There are more male players than female players, thus there is more demand for platelegs. Jagex are racist (We all remember the guy in the cave goblin area that was called a name that the whites used to call blacks :P) they're not sexist. The players are sexist. How many times have you heard 'buying GF 2k' outside Lumbridge castle? :P
  18. Time isn't dependent on change. Change is dependent on time. Since change happens, so does time. If time didn't exist, you wouldn't age. But you do age, because time is passing. Uhh, what about before the big bang? There was nothing changing, and nothing to age. Thus, there was no time.
  19. This is just my opinion, and I encourage you all to challenge it. All drugs should be legal; people should not be forced to (not)take drugs, and the risks should be addressed appropriately. Suicide should also be legal; but only if someone is in deep pain, or depression. In Amsterdam, it is legal to smoke Cannabis; there are bars where different varieties are vended, and 'Smoking Pot' is considered a social activity. The percentage of people that die from Cannabis and the drug crime rate is significently lower than over here. Odviously, making drugs illegal will not substidise the useage. There is a similar effect in Switzerland, where suicide is legal; less citizens kill themselves than they do in the USA. If you put a child in a room, and told them not to touch a box, curiosity would win them over, and the child would end up opening it. If you were to put a child in a room, and didn't tell them not to open a box, they'd probably not open it. Negative re-inforcement wins people over easily; it human nature. Illegal activity should be activity that harms others, not oneself. Why should the govenment tell us which sensations we are 'allowed' to feel? This is what it boils down to. It's your life, make what you want of it. Every man should have teh freedom to make his own choices, and live the way he wants to. N.B: I do not take/ endorse the useage of illegal drugs. Even Salvia.
  20. Good answer, you've got me there. Still, I'd like to pay attention to this: If nothing happens, neither does time? If time is dependent on change, it could be eliminated completely? It's quite simple really, but i've never thought of it like that...
  21. A clock's hands only move because of the cogs inside. One clock could read a different time to another, and don't fogget, a clock is only as accurate as the person who set it.
  22. You're an Athiest, right? How can you prove time, but not god? Also, Did it exist before life? If so, did it exist when nothing happened?
  23. Where is it? Does it occupy a single space in the universe at anyone time? Can we test it? How did it begin? Has it always existed. I think there's more to this question than first percived... Also, I thought time was reletive?
