Did any of them die in the fall from the climb? Did the person who climbed the highest actually get the job?
-
Correct! He travelled around a model globe.

Thanks for the tips you guys! I bought a Whey Protein shake to aid me in my goal, and I'm trying to drink at least 36oz of water a day. I've been making my lunches for school everyday--usually a ham and lettuce sandwich with grapes or other fruit--, and I've been trying to eat whenever I can but there aren't many options in my house tbh >_< Ah well, I was extremely happy to have put on 2lbs in a week and I hope to reach 140 in time for Christmas

Hello, nice to meet you. My name is Ichinose Kotomi. A senior in Class A. My hobby is reading books. I would be happy if you would become my friend.
-
Keep in mind she only checked the students and not the classroom And I guess I'll post another one for now: Austin the Austronaut travelled around the globe in less than 1 hour. How did he do it?

Correct! There was a multiplication table on the chalkboard beside Edward, which is why Michael always turned towards his direction to see the chart. Nice job ! And I think Saruman hit the nail on the head with that answer. i would think copying the answers from a multiplication table counts as cheating I don't understand what you're trying to say. I didn't say Michael never cheated.

Alright, but the point goes to Skull_Emblem, and since he passes I'll post one: A teacher gives her class a test on their multiplication tables. Edward is renowned for being the smartest boy in the class, and Michael the stupidest. The teacher checks each student for possible cheating material, and after some time she confirms that none of the students have any hidden papers or objects that can help them on the test. She arranges the kids into test-seating positions; Edward and Michael end up sitting next to each other. The teacher gives them their tests and Edward quickly begins to fill in each blank with the correct answers. During his test, he catches Michael looking towards his direction several times and assumes that he's trying to cheat off of his test. Edward, having filled in half the questions on the test correctly, decides to answer the rest of the questions incorrectly and allow Michael to cheat off him, thus making him fail. Edward slyly nudges his paper towards Michael, allowing him to copy the rest of his answers. When Edward sees that Michael has turned his test paper over (indicating that he's finished), he quickly erases the wrong answers and replaces them with the right ones. The test finshes and the teacher collects and returns them the next day. When the teacher reaches Edward she hands him his test in which he scored 100%. When she reaches Michael she hands him his test in which he also scored 100%. How did Michael score 100% on his test?

He fell out from the ground-floor?

Touche! Joe gets the point, and he can either post a new puzzle or choose someone else to do it.
-
Correct! And I'm going along with JoeDaStudd and saying they formed a circle around him (Joe gets the point if it's right obviously).

For example: http://en.wikipedia...._puzzle#Example Lateral puzzles are an excellent way of expanding your mind and getting you to think outside the box. I figured it'd be fun if we thought of our own lateral puzzles and see if others can solve them. Rules I'll begin by posting a puzzle which you will have 72 hours to guess the answer to before I reveal the answer. The person who answers correctly has the right to post another puzzle, but if he/she doesn't want to post one they can pass that right on to someone else. Also, if he/she doesn't post a puzzle within 24 hours from the host posts the answer, they will be stripped of that right for the current round and someone else will be chosen at random by the host. If no one answers within the given time limit then the host must reveal the answer and choose a person at random to post the next question. Points System -1 points:If you answer a puzzle correctly but do not post another puzzle within 24 hours 0 points: If you do not correctly answer a puzzle 1 point: If you correctly answer a puzzle 2 points: If you are the host and no one correctly answers your puzzle As promised, I'll begin by posting the first puzzle. To start the round off I'll start with a classic one. A father and his son get in to a car accident. The father is killed and the son gets seriously injured. The son is rushed to the hospital and taken to the operation room. When the surgeon enters the room and sees the boy, they say "I can't operate on this boy! He is my son!" How is this possible?"

~Range 2H F2P PKing Guide~ [Update(s): Feb. 21st, 2011]
bongo_man replied to bongo_man's topic in General Guides
Thanks! It's always nice to receive some kudos It all depends on two factors really: your max hit with 2H, and your opponents HP after hitting them with a 2H. Say your max hit with a 2H is 20, and you bow + 2H your opponent cutting them down to 4 HP. In that situation you'd want to keep your 2H equipped and hit them once more to try and KO, because the max they can heal their HP is 14 before you hit them again, which is not enough to withstand the possibility of you hitting a 19 or 20. Therefore if your opponent's HP will be higher than your max hit after they eat, it's better to switch back to your bow and try to range 2H them again. -
I meant that when I do one set of each exercise it takes a total time of 50min-1hr.

Being 17 years old, 6'1 and weighing in at an unhealthy 135lbs, I can't say I'm happy with my physical build. Whenever I see my clearly visible collarbone, it reminds me that I'm underweight. Whenever I see the outline of all my false ribs, it reminds me that I'm underweight. Whenever I see my own heart beating against my chest, it reminds me that I'm underweight. TipIt...I am underweight. In fact, I've been underweight ever since my preteen years- I've always had trouble gaining weight, and envied my friends who had normal looking arms and legs. I've weighed between 130-138 ever since my freshman year, and here I stand today in my senior year not even 5lbs heavier. But this is the year where that's all going to change. Prom is one of, if not the most, the biggest events of a senior's year. Who will be taking who? What will they wear? While my peers are pondering, I will secretly be developing my body in to a lean, mean, muscle machine (or however close I can get to that status in time for prom). My goal is to gain 25lbs of muscle mass in time for prom, which will (hopefully) help me obtain my main objective, which is to ask the my friend to prom. I've created a workout plan that I will be doing on the days where I don't have my weight training class, and taking breaks on the weekends. This is what my program looks like: -Dumbbell Curls (20lbs in each hand) -Military Press (20lbs in each hand) -Dumbbell Hammer Curls (20lbs in each hand) -Triceps Dumbbell Extensions (20lbs using both hands) -Dumbbell Wrist Curls (20lbs in each hand) -Standing Raises (30lbs in each hand) -Sumo Deadlift (30lbs using both hands) -Lunges (30lbs in each hand) -Dumbbell Sqauts (30lbs in each hand) -Back-Step Lunges (30lbs in each hand) -Gluteus Maximus Kickbacks -Reverse Crunches -Bicycles (abs) -Dumbbell Rows I'm limited to two 20lbs and 30lbs dumbbells, so I'll have to manage with those until I have enough money to buy more suitable weights for each exercise (particularly squats and lunges). It takes me approximately 50mins-1hr to go through an entire set of each exercise, and I plan on doing two sets one the days I do them. Although if I work out alone my goal will never be achieved, which is where you come in Tip.It! I'm going on a high-calorie diet, so I'll need to consume a variety of food each day in order to obtain that. Problem is I have trouble managing what I eat and when, with me it's basically orange juice for breakfast, a potato chip or a few fries that I mooch from my friends at lunch, and whatever my dinner is. I have little time in the morning (about an hour) to get ready for school, so I'm going to try and go to bed and wake up earlier to create more time for myself. I'm definitely going to start packing my own lunch, and I'm going to eat whatever my parents feed me. So what I need is suggestions and tips as to what would be a nutritional breakfast and lunch to keep me energized throughout the day, and that packs a good amount of calories. At the end of each week (every Sunday night) I'll update this post on how much weight I've gained and my results from my workout routine. Thanks for all your help everyone! Wish me the best! I enjoyed 'In A Far Away Land' the most- although I am a sucker for glissandos All of them were excellently composed, but when I was listening I tried picturing the scenes you described for each piece, and I found 'The Night Watchman' and 'The Closure Of The Cosmic Rift' scenes to be unfitting. Overall it's an excellent piece of art, I hope you continue to compose and share your work with us :D

Do you have a hard time saying 'no'? I find that I have an extremely hard time telling people 'no'; I tend to appease them just to avoid any possible conflict. One time in my freshman year, my desk partner in my Business class asked me for several answers to questions on a test we were writing. I feared he would get angry if I told him no, so I 'obligingly' gave him the answers he desired. I know it's unhealthy for me to not stand up for myself, but it just seems to be the easy way out- which also isn't good =\

Ah, I can just imagine how easy my English ISU novels would be if I had that ability... -

I can't wait to sport my Kenshin Himura costume on Friday :D My mom did a splendid job sewing the outfit, the wig and sword weren't hard to find (although I have to use a plastic ninja sword, because I'd probably get suspended if I brought my uncles katana to school ), and a red sharpie is all I need for the scar. I know two of my other friends are trying to get matching Pikachu costumes, and another two friends are using boxes for something from Metal Gear Solid; this will be a very interesting 'Schooloween Day'
