  1. http://img310.imageshack.us/img310/7141 ... opy6vm.jpg Made another one. I'm learning some of the awesome things this program can do. Rendered in Terragen and then touchups in PS6. I love doing these. :)
  2. Not that I'm the most skilled pixeler, but I think in general it's a good idea to stay away from using black as an outline color. Perhaps you could try shading the outlines with a darker color, I think that'd give it a more 3D feel. Good work though, muvh better than anything I can do.
  3. There you go. I did that by going to File --> Save For Web --> Optimize to File Size (click on the first arrow in the top right) --> Enter 30 (k) as the desired file size --> Ok --> Ok. Try doing that with the original psd file, you'll get a better result than what I could come up with. Hope I helped.
  4. I wasn't exactly planning on selling any of them, but if they would sell. I'd be prefectly willing to sell them. How much would you be willing to spend?
  5. How exactly to I import a surface map from WM to Terragen?
  6. Yeah I sorta realized that after looking over it a bit, not sure how to fix that though. I'll try some things on my next attempt.
  7. Since my first Terragen didn't work out too well, I decided to try things again, on a smaller scale this time. I really think this one is MUCH better than the first one. EDIT: Found a great Terragen tutorial. WOW. Huge improvement.
  8. Yes i know that much about photoshop  this has happend a few times before when its set to brush size one... on working with really really small images blown to 1600% of the size it will spill over onto the surrounding squares.... just really irritateing when you are trying to highlight one certon area  Switch your tool from pen to pencil. Pen brushes are softer, while the pencil 1 pxiel brush is ACTUALLY 1 pixel.
  9. How do you know how long it took me to make it? Why be all sarcsatic? Also giving me some real advice about how to work the program would be more productive than just saying what's wrong.
  10. This is really sad, Tip.it shouldn't be like this. The poor guy didn't brag about his sig being amazing or anything like, all he wanted was some CONSTRUCTIVE critisism. I find it embaressing to be part of a community that does something like this, no matter how skilled the community is at art. Come on guys, this is pathetic. Here's the problems with the sig/picture itself. As was stated before, it isn't even a sig. Also, there's no creative planning. You gotta make sure everything is smooth and looks good, and not just throw things together. One more thing, it generally isn't a good idea to post your first sig. Keep trying, one day you'll get the hang of it.
  11. 6/10. Same thing as I said to the other guy, a little too blocky. Do you mind explaining that statement more? I sorta don't know what you mean.
  12. http://img459.imageshack.us/img459/1606 ... hed2zr.jpg Terragen + Photoshop for the Sun/Fog and some touchups. How do I change what terrain style I'm using? C/C please.
  13. 8/10. I don't like the shading. It's too easily recognizable as a pixel (i.e. it's too blocky).
  14. . I'm sorry, but no, no its not... its a render with brushing, dodging burning bluring, hue/sat changed curves a whole **** load of things thats about 55 layers, think again please... i havnt used tutorials in a long time, sorry. *Edit 1* (Actualy it might be completely done in ps, no render, give me a min ill look through the layers.) **Edit 2** It was all done in ps, no render, just brushing and stuff (only filter is gaus blur) http://www.swedesignz.com/photoshop.html?id=105 from this page on good-tutorials.com... http://good-tutorials.com/search/query/ ... 0/relevant Looks very similar to me. Notice that I'm not accusing him of anything though, just saying that it's a tut, and is just like a first step onto what could be a great sig. I do realize that there is some brushing down at the bottom, however I still think that there isn't enough going on that isn't from the tut. Good work though.
  15. 3/10. Sorry, I know you've heard it before, but the background isn't doing it for me, at least without a border. Also, the RS character and text don't blend into the background well. Try adding a 1 pixel border, making it 300x150 pixels, and then blending the text/characters. I'll be glad to give another rate after you try that. Good luck!
  16. Not to flame or anything, but your current sig is a direct tutorial from good-tutorials.com. I think as a general rule it's good to use tuts as the base for sigs, and then use your own creativity from there. Plus, you can not follow the tuts exactly, and come up with your own creative result. Still, both the sigs look nice.
  17. 5/10. I like the idea, and the render looks nice, but it doesn't match the background and it isn't a smooth transition between render and background. Also those scanlines really detract from the quality of the abstract brushing, in my opinion.

What exactly do you mean by this? I'm not really understanding you.

Took some of the advice, and made a second one. http://img109.imageshack.us/img109/5386 ... ene6ug.jpg

http://img122.imageshack.us/img122/1274 ... ete2bj.jpg Only my first real space scene, but I still think it has potential. What do you think? ---------------------------- EDIT 1: http://img343.imageshack.us/img343/3530 ... ete2ev.jpg Moved the nebula and made it it a little more realistic. ----------------------------
  21. http://artpad.art.com/gallery/?im0lq5jlfws A sword and a fire, really bad...like most things I do.
  22. http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/1112/fre ... ing1ci.png Just messing around with PS and this came out. How's it look? (I used a stock photo from http://www.sxc.hu/)
  23. Turn to and read page 116 (of the American version) of the OOTP..... Interesting. Isn't it?
  24. Amen to that, brother. Wow, I don't think I could be more cliche if I tried.
  25. I'm still thinking it's missing something, and that something is probably a big something.
