  1. There are lots of spells that can be used to efficiently train magic, high alchemy, humidify, plank make, string amulet etc. I don't know exp rates or costs for these but I do recommend the mage training arena alchemy arena. It's quit possible to gain 100k+ exp per hour there, the enchantment arena is also quite fast experience. The other two arenas are fairly slow exp but it keeps training magic interesting and can be quite profitable if you buy infinity boots with the reward points.

  2. As insanity said, cannoning black demons at taverly is quite good. It's around 100k range exp per hour, and 100+ crimson charms, for this reason it is my favourite slayer task. It's much slower exp than chinchompas and could be just as expensive per exp. Definitely worth checking out though

  3. It varies from person to person and task to task. Firstly, for all tasks where you use protect from melee/range/mage in multicombat, a titan is the best choice. If you're fighting in single combat then obviously use a bunyip. For other tasks, just see what works for you, if you don't need the healing then the extra exp from the titan is great, but if you do then a bunyip saves alot of time and effort.

  4. Summer starts in 2 days, after my last exam :) I'm hoping to not spend tooo much time on runescape but when I am I'll hopefully be focussing on training all my combat levels up via slayer, starting to do some armadyl godwars and probably getting full gold decorative armour (not a goal but I guess it will count as an achievement). Good luck everyone on achieving your goals, but remember to enjoy the summer weather while it lasts :D

  5. Loool why bother bringing up the matter of condoms when you're gonna pierce it anyway??? Would be much less hassle to pretend to be on the pill or something..

In reply to the topic's creator, you clearly don't understand the way the world works and if you really don't enjoy runescape then either make positive suggestions on the runescape official forums or stop playing.

  6.

I can only help you with a few of your goals. 85 in all Melee skills...well i would go for AZ's. Better Exp and better money. At 70k+ exp and 100k+ money an hour if beats Slayer.

In general, slayer may not compete with AZs in terms of exp/hr but I make more than 100k gp per hour via slayer.

  7. 1. Since you're planning to level up some of your combat stats (I suggest via slayer) so see how many charms you get from that and then see how many you need.

    2. No idea but, I've heard that it varies greatly depending on your luck.

    3. Guessing about 30 seconds per wildy course lap, wouldn't suggest 26king for agility brawlers.

    4. SLAYER

    5. Seems like a random number, is there a quest or item that requires 72 prayer? :S

    6. Wow you went straight from 5 to 7.

    7. 90 range would be a good target

    8. Train slayer to get the combat goals and then maybe reward yourself with a few trips to god wars.

  8. I read and enjoyed the ones about duping and jagex's new relationship with players, the duping one was of particluar interest, I always like hearing about runescape's history and key points in it like this one :) Both articles could have been proofread a little better though.

  9. The saradomin sword will give you the fastest experience per hour if you use it. The SGS is only useful for it's special attack and with your stats, an enhanced excallibur + bunyip should get you through most tasks without the need to spend tens of millions. I highly recommend using the sara sword and if you get bored of it then perhaps bring a granite maul or something to spec with on weaker monsters whilst keeping the sara sword as your main weapon.

  10. I don't know if this will help but I heard there were some moss giants on the island you go via when taking a ship to lunar isle. I'm pretty sure they're in multi there and pretty empty, hope this helps. Guessing this is about the champions challenge though so it probably won't :P

  11. Firstly, is it true that obby rings are the fastest exp at aviansies? Is it profitable when you use obby rings, my range level is 92 currently. If so, how much profit am I likely to be making per hour?

Also, would it be better to use void range with armadyl pendant or armadyl top + zammy coif + dhide legs + barrows gloves?

Finally, how much experience am I likely to obtain per hour?

    Thanks in advance

  12. If I were you I'd do a bit of everything to start with. 5 months is a long time to go without membership and it'll probably take you a while to find what you enjoy doing most. Once you've found a skill that you enjoy then you can go about setting goals for yourself. As for training combat via slayer, I highly recommend it. From your stats you definitely seem to favour skilling and I think that the variety that slayer provides will keep you interested if and when you decide to start training your combat again.

Personally, if I owned your account, I'd make money skilling and then perhaps spend it on training range via chinning or magic by superheating or glass-making. You could also perhaps burst rock lobsters if you were particularly interested in training summoning.

    Most importantly, have fun! ::'

  13. This is the help and advice forum. This is not convert-others-to-your-method-of-playing forum. While it's true that mining takes up a lot of time, esp. in f2p, and that he could be doing other things, it is NOT your job to tell him what or what not to do.

He may not find powermining fun, but the reward is 100% worth the effort. Sure it's just a game. But if he decides that playing the game to achieve his goals is the way to have fun, who are YOU to say that he can't do that? If he decides to set 85 mining is f2p as his goal, who are YOU to say that he's wasting his time? If he's doing what he wants to, he isn't wasting his time, and it's NOT your job as a Help and Advice poster to tell him how to play the game.

So just because YOU wouldn't powermine to 85, doesn't mean that he shouldn't. Your job is to give him raw numbers and your opinion of which method is best, if there is a calculation involved. That's it. Your job is only to inform him. I think he is perfectly capable of deciding what he wants to do. You aren't his parents. If he wants to ask for your opinion of whether 85 mining is worth the effort or not, he would've said so.

I don't know about you but in my runescape career I've heard countless people say "I'm going for 85 mining". Of all of these people, about 85% of people give up before they reach 85 mining. I suggested that he shouldn't attempt to get it because going on probability he is most likely to give up before he reaches his goal. Personally, mining is one of my favourite skills but when looking at someone who has 41 mining, aiming for 85 in a short space of time is a very difficult goal. Therefore I suggested against it.

I hope that he does manage to reach his goal but looking at the statistics, it is an unlikely goal and so I gave him advice and suggested against it.

Good luck purewc, I hope you make it

  14. Looking at the price graph of obsidian rings, I'd personally wait for the price to crash (as it often tends to do as merchers ply their trade) and save a few hundred thousand gps. To answer the original question, yes you will probably need about 5k more :P

  15. Cool. I don't understand how the picture of the PVP armour and the saradomin avatar (if it is Zilyana but I'm not sure) can be described as content under development though :?

It's good to see Jagex building relationships with fansites though :)

  16. Killing dragons for their bones is not a good plan. Just make money by the fastest method available to you then buy the bones.

ALWAYS use a gilded altar, there is normally one open somewhere, look in the house parties section in the runescape forums.
