The joys of panicky merchants with expensive items huh ?

Well its come to the end of quite a successfull rs month for me so please rate this month. Started with this : Then this : And then this : The plan was to get 99 by the end of the month but pvp got updated :oops: . But all that maging had gave me a fair amount of charms so i got this level: 93 banked but in greens and golds :wall: . O and to top it all off what with inflation etc , my bank value got larger. Rate

That's what they wanted to do away with though, the seven day average. Because even if merchants do buy out an item, there is less demand or hype among other players. It makes things more interesting and difficult for the average person in these merchant clans while showing the average 'scaper how static their investment is. So unless these 'scapers are active in the trading community, constantly watching the item they own, there's a slightly smaller incentive to buy or sell on whim. So basically they have made it easier for clan channels to manipulate people by not showing accurate data on items , therefore the rising item looks more attractive so more idiots in clan channels buy into it. They have instead made it harder for solo merchants to read graphs effectively. Way to go jagex.... Help the scum bag merchants and make it harder for the legit ones...

How can they claim it was boring? , i found it the most interesting part! It showed all the items people are normally interested in and also showed the prices of high value items that solo merchers tend to merchant as they yield a greater limit per 4 hours and profit. Clans never really merched high value items because they could not hold onto them purely for the fact the clan members did not have enough money. So really this as had no affect whatsoever on clan merchanting but has just made it more difficult for solo merchants to pick an item with ease and see the current trends on a 7 day graph! not a 30 day graph! What use does a 30 day graph have when most of runescape items fluctuate every day!

Just mistook you for someone else, sorry. :oops: Umm i've had an arcane for around 2 months , just sold last week. Only really once castlewarred with it though.

Or instead of completely destroying solo merching , action should just be taken agaisnt the clans. Don't you believe its a little bit harsh to do this , considering it would harm many merchants who actually help the economy ? I believe a solution to prevent clan merching would be a much fairier way , and would actually stop the problem. Because how easy would it be for 1 j mod to search all known merch cc's and just freeze their items on ge ? Or just watch for items with artificial demand... Its really easy to tell.

And @ Sumondskull , i use veracs because i only pray at last turn then untill i have drapped dags, thats about 2 -3 seconds each lure. If i used prossy i would probably get hit more when im not praying.

Yerp Rsw44 basically covered it. This thread is purely to do with looking at market trends and the like. It is a form of adivce and not manipulation. In no way am i saying buy X make profit etc, as most people who pmed me after the Shields crashed know I only made a little bit of profit of those shields and I still own 1 arcane. Love that thing at rock lobs 8-) . Merching is a gamble and if anyone chooses to follow advice on this thread they really need to understand they are gambling with their money.
