  1. Stupidity is in the eyes of the beerholder. corrected. Corrected again. You got me there.
  2. Coolness is in the eyes of the beerholder. corrected.
  3. I have read previous posts, and I would like a Wii version of it, but as previously stated, IW doesn't make games for the Wii, and other such arguments. Doesn't bother me anyway. I'll just get it for PC, or play it on my brother's Xbox.
  4. I own a Wii, My twin brother owns an Xbox 360. I like my play, and play on it regularly, and I have played my Brother's Xbox 360 a few months ago (was trying to do COD4 single player in Veteran, got to the part where you need to get to the bunker to deactivate the missiles, but I can never get there before the timer finishes).
  5. As if you believe she really is a 'geek'... It doesn't matter what I believe, seeing as you missed the point. She explained the difference between Geek and Nerd. Which was my point. Btw, sorry if I missed what you meant by asking that question. I'm tired at the moment.
  6. Note that i've never said the Xbox wins, I just prefer it over the PS3 due to console costs and the fact that I have a wii that sits in a corner collecting dust due to a serious lack of appealing games to a young adult male. While I do agree that the Wii is more family orientated, I do think it has some decent Mature games. For example, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles, The godfather blackhand edition, and soon, The Conduit and Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, and at a stretch, COD5 WaW, although inferior to the PS3 and Xbox 360 ones.
  7. How about this for citation? [yt]a9jlefnXKyQ[/yt]
  8. Geeks and nerds are similar, but different. Geeks actually socialise, whereas nerds do not.
  9. The second one was compiled from 5 shots, which produces the odd flare. I might try remaking the image with less of the actual images. Thanks for the input. I tried reducing the luminosity, but increasing the micro-smoothing. It still produces the glare, but it looks a bit better imo. I'll post a resized version here. Tell me which you think is better. [hide=Alternate Version to 'Red Sky'][/hide]
  10. I think a lot of people are having misconceptions about the differences between Geeks and Nerds (not on this forum, but in general). Geeks know about technology, but have the ability to socialise. Nerds live in their mother's basement (a bit of a cliche example) until they're 30 and don't have any social skills. Therefore, being a Geek, is not exactly 'cool', but it is quite handy.
  11. I have yet to see you produce any rational comments about why the Wii is a superior console to the PS3/Xbox 360. While I'm not agreeing with the 'health' factor of the Wii (i.e. Wii Fit), I do think that the Wii has more choice for developers to create unique and diverse controls for each game, whereas those with a conventional controller are limited to just the buttons (unless you have a modded Xbox 360 controller). But, in saying that, I do not think that the Wii remote makes things more 'accurate', so to speak. For example, in COD4/COD5, you can hold your breath, but in the wii Version (of COD5), it relies on the steadiness of your hand (fair enough, it isn't really hard to hold something that weighs 100g steady), so it can be less accurate. Limited to buttons? On the PS3 you have SIXAXIS as well : Ah yes, I forgot about the PS3's motion control. Most games don't actually use it, which is a shame (unless the game is suited to normal control), since the PS3 controller's inbuilt motion control is much more advanced than the Wii Remote's control (unless it has the motionplus attachment).
  12. I agree. The godfather Blackhand edition is an example of good motion controls. Simple, but they work well enough. Some games (like you mentioned) just use motion controls for the sake of them being there. Excite Truck is an example. It's a good game, and the motion controls are necessary, but not over-used.
  13. I haven't posted one of these before, so I thought that I might as well post some of my photographs. I'm not exactly amazing, as I'm still learning a lot, but I like to think that I have some talent. Anyway, here are some of my best. I would seriously suggest viewing them from the DeviantArt links, as some of these images are very large (in actual dimensions and file size). First off, my Favourite piece of work (beware, it is a Quite large Panorama): Deviant Art link: [hide=][/hide] Most Favourited (and therefore the peoples choice): Deviant Art link: [hide=][/hide] Most Viewed (this was done with three images taken on my phone, which explains the bad quality): Deviant Art link: [hide=][/hide] Least Viewed (I think): Deviant Art link: [hide=][/hide] My Favourite Black & White image (from my phone. I would suggest the Deviant Art link for viewing, as it is pretty bad quality at 100%): Deviant Art link: [hide=][/hide] My Favourite Colour Image (that isn't one of the previously posted images. Again, I would suggest the DeviantArt link, because this image is of low quality when examined at 100%, which is a shame): Deviant Art link: [hide=][/hide] Thanks for viewing. Constructive critiscism is always welcomed, either here or on DA, I don't mind. Please remember that I am an amateur (barely that) photographer, so my photography may be crude to those who are more artistically inclined than I am. This is my full gallery: http://ben-morrissey.deviantart.com/gallery/#_featured Please take a look, as you may find an image that you like more than the ones I have posted.

  15. I'd rather play with people that will play fairly (no glitches, etc), But realistically I know that no-one will play fairly against a sea of unfair players (at least one person per map will use a glitch (unless it's courtyard, in which case almost no-one glitches).
  16. It was upheavel. Also, I don't use Rifle grenades, as they are the equivalent of the noob-tube from COD4.
  17. It's useful if someone needs their car propped up and hasn't got a jack with them.
  18. I usually have one with camoflage and flash hider/suppresor, but I didn't at that point, so I just quit (I should have carried on, but I couldn't be bothered with it).
  19. Just had a game with everyone except me (including my team meates. I was using my trusty old warhorse the MP44, and refuse to use the MP40 or other guns) using MP40s, and funnily enough, they were camping (2 had suppresors). By the time I had figured out where one of them was, another one had killed me with his MP40. This was either very good team co-operation, some sort of horrendous undetectable lag or just MP40 whorers doing what they only know how to do.
  20. I agree with that. I use the MP44 (I will continue calling it that) because of it's range, as well as having a decent fire rate (though it's accuracy and Damage aren't amazing).
  21. I meant the STG-44. I was calling it what it's called in COD2, because I loved that game on PS2 (and have played the proper version on Xbox 360).
  22. I lol'd. People actually think that works? Que? I don't own an Xbox 360, and never will. The wii has no serious hardware faults, none in comparison to the Xbox. I can think of one, and thats problems with reading dual layer discs (?). That's counted as a minor hardware fault (Nintendo will fix it for free, unless the DVD drive is actually broken). I had my Wii fixed for that problem (though it did take a month to send it off, repair it and send it back).
  23. I'm not a fan of MP40 whoring, but the MP40 with box ammo, Juggernaught, bouncing betties and steady aim is great for owning everyone. It is great, but its really cheap and adds to the unfairness of the game. This is the sort of thing people hate Treyarch for. That and their fail patch updates. If you hate MP40 whoring, you should play hardcore, right? No. That's full of glitchers, stupid teammates who STAB you, SHOOT you, use martyrdom, SNIPE YOU EVEN. And still you see people with MGs. E.G Browning. Kills in 2 shots. My main set is an MP44 (telescopic sight), with juggernaught (to try to counter MP40 whorers), Bouncing betties and steady aim. If I kill an MP40 whorer (which I often do), I will pick up the MP40 and use it against them. While MP40-ing is a legitimate strategy, It devalues the efforts of those actually trying to play the game with some balance. Just be thankful that the MP40s range sucks, otherwise everyone would also use MP40s.
  24. My opinion is that Firemaking is the most 'nooby' to have, since it has no beneficial use (except mabe the Inferno Adze). Fletching and Cooking can have a use, but most people with the cape don't even bother to make use of the cape they try to show off. I don't think low of them because they have the cape, I think low of them because they wont get any benefit from training that skill with the cape. For example, If you cook about 10 sharks after 99 cooking, you move up 5-10k ranks. While you could say that this is true of agility, it is not. Agility is useful all the time (except when standing still), so everyone can benefit from it, no matter what they are doing, and while not necessarily training it, it is universally useful, rather than useful for maybe the rare occasion when you might need to cook some food/make a bow.
