I've been using adamant darts but that is mainly because I am too lazy to switch them from my zulrah kill setup. I think mith darts might be the way to go. Addy darts about 200-220 and mith is about 100.

I use blowpipe+cannon for bloodvelds (about 40k slay/hour) and hellhounds (45k/hour). For bloodvelds I sit on one square the entire task and let the bloodvelds come to me, so I always get the two cannon hit occuring. For hellhounds I safespot them, this lets the cannon hit all the hellhounds in the room because it thinks I'm not in single combat, even though I am hitting a hellhound. I can't remember what other tasks I use pipe for. I think it's about as expensive as using a tentacle for slayer. It's silly to use tentacle for slayer since a whip does almost the same job but for free, but for pipe there is no close alternative. And since I value range xp through slayer, I choose to blow the pipe.
