The End of the Beginning
Lelantos shrugged at the man standing next to him, begrudgingly disregarding his earlier curiosity about his screaming into the Aether. He looks around himself slowly, analysing his surroundings, and the people passing nearby, and notes a man in a mask passing through a street, and another man in very strange attire. The masked man had blood on his hands, while the other had blood on his rather ornate sword. He thinks to himself "Perhaps... No, I think this night is definitely going to stem the boredom for a while.", before setting off after the man with the sword. He follows him into the bar, where he sits down next to him, and blurts out the question; "Sooo... What's up with the bloodied sword, captain Grimdark? Been out on a killing spree or something?" Before the man can answer, he follows up his previous question with another statement. "See, I called you captain Grimdark because you look all dark and edgy. Get it?" He then sits, and ponderously awaits an answer from his no doubt bewildered new "Friend".

Er... I don't think you'll be able to take the previous rolls again. It's up to you to remember, and if you forget, well, you miss out on like 30 gold. It isn't that much. Yeah, you did.

The End of the Beginning
Lelantos, hearing somebody talking below the roof he was standing, looks down to the streets to see an odd individual shouting, seemingly in frustration at the sky, before leaning back against a wall. He shouts down to him, in a curious, yet apathetic tone; "Why are you barking at the moon? And what, exactly, "Doesn't make sense"?" He then jumps from the roof of the building to the side of the person below, landing on one knee with a thud, before rising and standing.

Well you're the one who needs to keep track of these things. It's like items, you can't expect me to create and run campaigns, create monsters, traps and items, AND manage the players items. Just remember to tell me at the start of each session. Also, where did the +42 come from?

I also found out that critical hits do not apply to undead. Although I'll disregard that for now. :wall:

The End of the Beginning
(Is the setting magic heavy?) As he sat and watched from the rooftops, the people scuttling around, going about their daily lives in the dusky light of the evening, he let out a sigh. He had been there for around five hours, thinking, wondering, remeniscing about all manner of subjects. Or he would have been, if there was anything to remenisce. Where there should have been memories, instead there was an empty, null void. He sat up, swinging his head forwards in a forlorn way, and began to stand. He was wearing a long coat, pure white, which stretched down to his shoes. Around his shoulders was a mantle, which started the same shade of white, but turned into a deep blue halfway down, and then finished with another thin line of white. It was oversized, to say the least, crawling all the way to his upper wrists, obstructing the view of his figure. It blew in the wind, much like his hair, which was shoulder length, and silver in colour. He felt the inside of the mantle, just to check if his weaponry was still there. It was, safe and sound, as usual. All 36 kunai, in their correct place. The wind picked up again, as he sighed once more, leaning and looking down to the streets below for anything interesting to fill his dull schedule.

SoI actually did some research, and as it turns out, critical damage is not applied to vicious recoil. Earth, you're still alive.

Doom, I said I'd help.

Hegemony Ship to Ship combat training
Somehow I don't think so. I just can't get these figures right, and I don't know how to control both sides in a sandbox game. Back to the original system.
-
Hegemony Ship to Ship combat training
Not so much a silly system as difficult as hell to get it to work right. I'm trying to fix it right now. Once we get some standard figures down it should work properly.

Hegemony Ship to Ship combat training
Which PM? The one with Icu and me in?
-
Hegemony
Well, we can both go seperate paths then. We both get the research up to what we have now, but it's both independant from now on.
-
Hegemony Ship to Ship combat training
Mmm, fair enough. How about we do a practical test of the system I was thinking, and compare it to the one used in the previous test? Icu can play you again, since that way the test is unbiased. Do you mind doing that?

Hegemony Ship to Ship combat training
Well, I was thinking that you could copy and paste a picture of the battle as it goes. But yeah, I'll stop pushing it now.

Sucks to be you, my friend. I'm sitting on about 500m+ worth of H'ween masks at the moment. Anyways, project list. Automated production Jumpjet fuel Efficiency Battery pack efficiency Advanced targeting Project Scythe Project Blade (Will PM to Archi momentarily.) Offshoot of project Scythe, to make it usable by Crisis suits (Archi will know what it means) Superconductors (Icu, let's just say you give me this research now, since there's no real reason for you to be doing it for me anymore.) General Crisis suit improvements 450b worth of projects. 200b goes into infrastructure. 200b goes to Icu's space thingy.

Hegemony Ship to Ship combat training
Finding out where to shoot from to most efficiently destroy the ship is part of the strategy, yeah. Although, one again, that can be done with BF. I don't mean to sound like I'm trying to push you into using it, but I just think it would make it quicker and easier to do (As well as more fun, possibly?)

Hegemony Ship to Ship combat training
Mmm, but I'd say it's a viable alternative to editing everything on paint and GIMP. Althought it's fine if you don't want to use it. Also, wouldn't space tactics in real life pretty much consist of "Get to where the armour is weakest and fire away"?
-
Hegemony Ship to Ship combat training
Fair enough that you don't want to use it, though I do have some retorts. Some ships are better defended at the front to create a wall, some are thin to get past that wall and attack the vulnerable back or sides. Turrets and ships take time to turn and fire, so if you have a fast enough ship and good enough tactics, then you could end up using a squad of fighters to take out a battlestation. The computer player issue is solved by sandbox mode. If you pause it to do each stage of the battle and then redirect ships, you can still judge things fairly easily while controlling both sides. The technology battlefield text system, I don't really know how to solve.

Dungeons & Dragons
"Just as the party approaches the chapel, hoping the nightmare is over, the ground itself swallows the party whole. They awake in a tomb, filled with riddles and zombies. Evenetually, they come to a room filled with chests, among other things (Bones. Lots of bones.) After traipsing around in the room for a short time, they feel the vengeful earth howling at them again, and, before they know it, there is a 15 foot tall goliath made of bone standing before them, it's heartless eyes staring into their very souls. After a long and tiring battle, Earth Poisonblade decides to take a final stand. Armed with a scythe he barely knows how to use, he takes a swing at the monstrous being. The swing connects, and the skeletal figure is pushed back from the blow. But alas, the scythe was magic, stealing the users life to deal more pain to the enemy. He swung again, smiting the boss, and smiting himself at the same time. Earth Poisonblade had become a martyr, for reasons unknown, seeing as the boss was near death anyway. Sorta lessens the impact of the whole scenario, doesn't it?" Yeah, campaign isn't quite finished yet, theres still some plot to eat through, but I wanted everyone there for that, so we'll do it next week,

Tales of Rimerose
Perses sighs, and tries to remember where he saw a door earlier, before walking through it.

Tales of Rimerose
Perses stamps the fire out, and continues practising, noting the time it takes him to focus each time.

Tales of Rimerose
Perses ignores the person with the flash powder, since it was obviously just some prank, and then practises teleporting through the fire.
